I just finished WOH and it was such a wonderful experience. The last drama that put me through so many emotions was The Untamed. I'll probably rewatch this drama in the near future, I loved it. I must mention I absolutely fell in love with Zhang Zhehan. His face is a work of art, I couldn't stop looking at him, he is so freaking beautiful. His acting was seriously outstanding as well, he is really talented. I just learned what happened to him and it made me angry and sad, I was looking forward to watching more dramas with him...

I think that Chinese language has something very sweet inside. Every song played in these dramas are as lullabies, so kind the voices and so gentle the pronunciation. And also the music without the words with this type of flute. In untamed it was so beautiful the soundtrack and also here with these beautiful songs. Chinese sounds are very beautiful!

Word of Honor is the one of the best Wuxia dramas I have watched in recent years. WenKeXing is my favorite character and Gong Jun portrayed the role so well! His first appearance as the chillingly ruthless Leader of the Ghost Valley in episode 1 was so cool!

As proud and shy, cute yet bright and sexy as WenKeXing, as royal and deep- love as Han Ying, in addition to this, the story of couple Chao and Ah Xiang, are all very heart touching, every main characters are portrayed as vivid, emotional with heart and soul in the Chinese martial world. This drama was on my saved list for a long time and I finally watched it two days ago and I'm so happy that I did. It was a wonderful series with so many twists and turns. It is unlike any Wuxia I have watched as the main characters were actually blatantly flirting all the time and calling each other soulmates. One of my favorite scenes from this drama is where they were enjoying the sun, calling each others' names 3 times, and then drinking. Word of Honor will always be a series that I will cherish and hold close to my heart. I can't wait to read the novel just to experience this feeling again.

I've started watching this a few days ago and am close to the final episode and I am very impressed with the acting, music, costumes and story of this show. Everyone from cast and crew have done an outstanding job on this show. I am not familiar with the source material at all only with this show. Powerful, evocative performance from everyone but particularly from the two main leads, Zhang Zhehan and Gong Jun who portrayed Zhou Zishu and Wen Kexing. These two made me fall in love with the show completely and utterly . Their portrayal of their characters drew me in and made me care about what happens to them, made me suffer alongside them, made me empathise and understand them - how their circumstances, situation shaped and formed who they became. This is the mark of a great actor - the ability to draw in the viewer and make them care, make them invested and move them deeply and profoundly. Thank you to everyone involved with this show. It will be one that I will treasure for a long time in my memory and will think about often. I will certainly rewatch a few times as I am not yet ready to leave this beautiful story. I hope at some point, we will be able to get a DVD box set of this show to enjoy for all time. Thank you Youku for making this available to the international fans of this beautiful and thought provoking show.

I just finished WOH and it was such a wonderful experience. The last drama that put me through so many emotions was The Untamed.
I'll probably rewatch this drama in the near future, I loved it.
I must mention I absolutely fell in love with Zhang Zhehan. His face is a work of art, I couldn't stop looking at him, he is so freaking beautiful. His acting was seriously outstanding as well, he is really talented. I just learned what happened to him and it made me angry and sad, I was looking forward to watching more dramas with him...

This is an international platform, youku, i hope you will not remove this drama. You cannot deny the hardwork by the team, zzh did a fantastic job. This drama is about redemption but no one is willing to forgive him for wat he did 3 years ago. People grow up and people change over time. I believe what i saw over this period wasnt fake, he is a genuine nice mature man. He apologised for him past mistake but no chance was given. Its ridiculous. Ruining someone is just so easy.
and Youku is a China-owned company. If it's gone from Mainland China, this will definitely follow. There's no confirmation yet though, but pleading Youku serves no meaning.

I think that Chinese language has something very sweet inside. Every song played in these dramas are as lullabies, so kind the voices and so gentle the pronunciation. And also the music without the words with this type of flute. In untamed it was so beautiful the soundtrack and also here with these beautiful songs. Chinese sounds are very beautiful!

Unfortunately one of favorite actors in Word of Honor got in the cross-hairs, so that is why people are sad. One way is that the CCP can 'cancel' you , meaning they erase your existence from all public media within China, which includes taking down (within China only) any series/movies they were a part of, which clearly hurts EVERYONE involved in those dramas; it is like a collective punishment and totally unfair.

@@anniexena some anti-fan dug out that in 2018 he took photos outside Yasukuni temple the place where Japanese memorialize their "hero" (but listed 712 war criminals during world war 2) the backlash to ZZH is quite severe, that all sponsors cancel his contracts, even new drama series supposedly starring ZZH is changed, all the digital footprint has also been deleted, he can never make a comeback in China as an actor I think.

This act is deemed as an act of treachery towards his country and he was called traitor of the nation by his people. He later apologised that it was purely due to his ignorance to the shrine history, however, his country government has later on issued a statement that such behaviour is unacceptable and unforgivable. Within a few hours, he was stripped of every brand modelling and sponsorships. His social media and work account were all deleted by Weibo. Every work he has involved in (dramas, songs, commercials, products) were completely removed from every Chinese platform. He is now being banned completely by his country from working in the entertainment industry.

It was an honest ignorant mistake. He probably went traveling on his own, in a country that won’t bother him as a celebrity, can’t read Japanese. Went to a place that looks cool not knowing the history behind it. Took pictures because that’s what tourist do… so freaking sad.

His acting has promoted Chinese culture in a way that the Communist propaganda, with its life-annihilating lies, can never hope to do! And all the thanks he got? Ten government newspapers assassinating his character because Word of Honor promotes universal values such as love, peace and freedom. Zhang almost trashed his career for his selfless dedication to see China win! He used to be a star athlete, and now all this wuxia fighting is hard on his body. What sort of government would dare to indict its own citizen of treason and support for Japanese war criminals simply for visiting a temple? As proud and shy, cute yet bright and sexy as WenKeXing, as royal and deep- love as Han Ying, in addition to this, the story of couple Chao and Ah Xiang, are all very heart touching, every main characters are portrayed as vivid, emotional with heart and soul in the Chinese martial world. Sorry not exactly the translation because some of the Chinese words are really hard to translate exactly into English( there are no direct words share the exact meaning) this is the closest I could translate, hope this helps.

This drama was on my saved list for a long time and I finally watched it two days ago and I'm so happy that I did. It was a wonderful series with so many twists and turns. It is unlike any Wuxia I have watched as the main characters were actually blatantly flirting all the time and calling each other soulmates. One of my favorite scenes from this drama is where they were enjoying the sun, calling each others' names 3 times, and then drinking. Word of Honor will always be a series that I will cherish and hold close to my heart. I can't wait to read the novel just to experience this feeling again.
Rewatching due to my love of the show and for support of ZZH. I love his acting and can't wait for the day he returns to the big screen. Patiently awaiting my A-Xu to return.

I've started watching this a few days ago and am close to the final episode and I am very impressed with the acting, music, costumes and story of this show. Everyone from cast and crew have done an outstanding job on this show. I am not familiar with the source material at all only with this show. Powerful, evocative performance from everyone but particularly from the two main leads, Zhang Zhehan and Gong Jun who portrayed Zhou Zishu and Wen Kexing. These two made me fall in love with the show completely and utterly . Their portrayal of their characters drew me in and made me care about what happens to them, made me suffer alongside them, made me empathise and understand them - how their circumstances, situation shaped and formed who they became. This is the mark of a great actor - the ability to draw in the viewer and make them care, make them invested and move them deeply and profoundly. Thank you to everyone involved with this show. It will be one that I will treasure for a long time in my memory and will think about often. I will certainly rewatch a few times as I am not yet ready to leave this beautiful story.
I hope at some point, we will be able to get a DVD box set of this show to enjoy for all time. Thank you Youku for making this available to the international fans of this beautiful and thought provoking show.
I bought the dvd of this series and The Untamed a few months ago. Never been happier 😊
