3:06 "But your good opinion is rarely bestowed and therefore more worth the earning." He's so head over heels in love, I bet if Elizabeth had complimented him on his shoes instead he would never wear another pair again
Yeah. A lot of Austen purists absolutely hate the movie adaption but they have to learn that the movie does not want to be exactly like Austen. Never intended to be. It wants to be modern in order to attract younger audiences and..that's why the actors are more passionate, Keira Knightley is freakin aggressive when she's rejecting Darcy. It's so that it can be more of a timeless piece. Don't get me wrong, we all know the book is timeless, so an adaption exactly like that should be too. But really I don't see the miniseries being like that..it's a lot more accurate but the constrained acting which is again, very accurate, makes it a bit duller in comparison and is for more patient audiences who particularly enjoy this kind of realistic portrayal. In the book, we have elizabeth's thoughts to engage us. But still Austen's intention was to represent normal society, so, the miniseries is perfect. And that's why it's just as good an adaption. But the movie is a good adaption too, it's not loyal, but not every good adaption has to be loyal, it's something new and really really nice. And when you separate the book from the adaption, people will realise what a beautiful movie this is.

I watched the '95 series yesterday and I loved it! I knew I'd like it since I have been watching these. I liked that the series showed some things that never happened in the book. Like the conversation between Mr. Darcy and Mr. Bingley about what Darcy had done to keep Bingley from knowing that Jane is in London. And because it was a series it had more things from the book than the '05 movie. But so far these two are the adaptations that I love!
The scene itself is only mentioned by Darcy in the book chapter 58 during the talks between Lizzy and Darcy, but yeah their conversations are 1995 original and not in the book: “On the evening before my going to London," said he, "I made a confession to him, which I believe I ought to have made long ago. I told him of all that had occurred to make my former interference in his affairs absurd and impertinent. His surprise was great. He had never had the slightest suspicion. I told him, moreover, that I believed myself mistaken in supposing, as I had done, that your sister was indifferent to him; and as I could easily perceive that his attachment to her was unabated, I felt no doubt of their happiness together.” “I was obliged to confess one thing, which for a time, and not unjustly, offended him. I could not allow myself to conceal that your sister had been in town three months last winter, that I had known it, and purposely kept it from him. He was angry. But his anger, I am persuaded, lasted no longer than he remained in any doubt of your sister's sentiments. He has heartily forgiven me now.” I think they moved that scene earlier to make the story flow better for the 1995 series. :)

Love both versions of Pride and Prejudice, and am constantly watching RUclips clips especially the inner thoughts ones this is one of the funniest versions I have watched. Matthew Macfadyen nearly taking Mr Collins headoff with his elbow, Colin Firths voice when Elizabeth is upset defo HIS PRECIOUS. Always wondered if the dog Elizabeth was playing with was one of Mr Darcys in the mini series he has 2 a grey one and a black-and-white one?

One of her gems was the scene when Elizabeth walks in and out of the room in tears, unable to speak about the elopement. Could you do something similar for the Jane Eyre adaptations? (BBC and hollywood)
Okay you got me the phrase 'dignified internal screaming" oh yeah that's accurate and hilarious and I didn't think to put it that way. The battle station sirens about finding out about Lydia and Wickham absolutely perfect. You can just see him suppressing the urge to say "I will rip him apart with my bare hands." OMG that might be the best possible overdub of We are the champions ever
Also the complete s*** eating grin on Mr Bennett at the end is perfect. Yes he's saying two less mouths to feed but he's also thinking "well now I don't have to worry about the younger ones, because they have a rich brother-in-law now. Mr Darcy you absolute fool... thank you." Wickham's like" I can't believe I'm required to be here." Collins is like "bastard. yeah she turned me down. but you're still a bastard for taking her." I never realized how good the background expressions of the 1995 one are until now. Thank you
OH MY GOD THIS WAS THE HARDEST I'VE LAUGHED IN AGES🤣🤣🤣.. I was wondering could you make a longer version of this, combining both these wonderful adaptations together. Because I am sure that there are many more hilarious moments in there, especially consisting of Darcy being awkward. But thank you for doing this!
I somehow missed Jane's frozen look of polite terror when Mr. Collins is tapping on Darcy's shoulder and I nearly HOWLED when i saw her, like that was one of THE most realistically relatable expressions I've ever seen in a movie lmfao Like Darcy's actor is over here trying to look awkward and broody, but Jane's actress? THAT WAS SO REAL
Of all the times I’ve watched the 1995 version, I never noticed Elizabeth’s father in the background during the wedding with that triumphant two-less-mouths-to-feed grin on his face. 😂😂😂😂😂 👍🏽Hilarious video compilation. Only Crack videos (like anime cracks) have made laugh as hard.
These videos are so on point. Perfect! Please keep making more! They remind me of why I'm so obsessed with P&P in the first place - the steamy, funny, complicated subtext
I wish you would have included the scene where he realized he was holding her hand in the '95 one where she is telling him about the letters. I got a feeling you should find the perfect wording for his slight panic. XD
I was thinking the same. Especially around 2:05 when Mr Collins proposed and you could see each Elizabeth’s reaction to it. The first one was so much more expressive.
I beg to differ. I ADORED the 1995 version and thought Colin Firth to be ideal for the role......that is until Matthew Macfadyen's version came along. He added a vulnerability to the role that took my breath away.
@Maria Olivares 1265 By saying one prefers the other is not bashing. I just stated that the acting in the 1995 version had better acting and greater depth.
Yes! Where have these gems been hiding all this time. I'm not sure if I should be angry at algorithm for taking so long, or happy it finally got there. I am both internally angry, & outward dignified hysterical laughing.

Some of my favorite parts were "shut up just shut up shut up" and "up and down up and down" hahaha. Hilarious, thank you.
I literally watched pride n prejudice today for comfort omg the algorithms getting weirdly specific (great vid btw)
I somehow missed Jane's frozen look of polite terror when Mr. Collins is tapping on Darcy's shoulder and I nearly HOWLED when i saw her, like that was one of THE most realistically relatable expressions I've ever seen in a movie lmfao
Like Darcy's actor is over here trying to look awkward and broody, but Jane's actress? THAT WAS SO REAL
Of all the times I’ve watched the 1995 version, I never noticed Elizabeth’s father in the background during the wedding with that triumphant two-less-mouths-to-feed grin on his face. 😂😂😂😂😂
👍🏽Hilarious video compilation. Only Crack videos (like anime cracks) have made laugh as hard.
I'm rereading the book so this found me at the perfect time. It is the best of both worlds, thank you once again for the laugh !
I'm glad it made you laugh, thank you for watching! 😊
Mary's singing in the drama omg. XD mood.
Scowling doesn't always work!
1:43 JANE AND BINGLEY'S FACES LMAOO
"ive been rehearsing for weeks" IM CACKLING LMAOOOO
0:48 THAT COUNTER STRIKE SOUND KILLED ME
These videos are so on point. Perfect! Please keep making more! They remind me of why I'm so obsessed with P&P in the first place - the steamy, funny, complicated subtext
Darcy kept cool to the very last minute and I suppose after the ceremony, throughout their marriage as well :D
Wonderful work interpreting their inner dialog. I found it to be so refreshing and funny ... you did an amazing job!! ❤
this makes me blurt out laughing the whole day
The edits are everything, I was cracking up the whole time 😂
I wish you would have included the scene where he realized he was holding her hand in the '95 one where she is telling him about the letters. I got a feeling you should find the perfect wording for his slight panic. XD
I really prefer it with Colin Firth
Oh I love these 'inner thoughts" ...!
Aren't I smooth... I've been rehersing😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Oh my gosh, it's so funny, it's more than just funny, it's gorgeous✨ Thank you for this video, I laughed so hard, I adore this movie❤
This just highlights how much better the acting in the 1995 version versus the 2005 version.
1995 Elisabeth > 2005 Elisabeth
2005 mr darcy > 1995 mr darcy
@@ugh4992 oh yeahhh I totally agree with you. I am obssessed with mr darcy 2005 and the smile of Eliza 1995
@Maria Olivares 1265 By saying one prefers the other is not bashing. I just stated that the acting in the 1995 version had better acting and greater depth.
Did anyone notice that Wickam in 2005 looks like Orlando Bloom from Pirates of the Carribean
"I've lost it, haven't I?"
I feel you, man
We are the champions!! Excellent ! ( I just PayPal ed you)
I just saw the notification on my phone, I am so grateful for your support, thank you so much! 💖
You gave me even more to love, about J. Austin. Thank you. The insertion of the Kill Bill theme was the best.
That's great, thank you for watching! 😁
The RUclips algorithm strikes again to bring another masterpiece into my recommendation feed!!
Yes! Where have these gems been hiding all this time. I'm not sure if I should be angry at algorithm for taking so long, or happy it finally got there. I am both internally angry, & outward dignified hysterical laughing.
4:24 please. My sides hurt 😂😂😂
