She certainly wasn't and will never be again. The world has clearly seen her for who she is. A TROLLOP that got lucky, ensnared a person who he thought loved him and wanted to enter the royal family and work along side him and serve the people. He was played like a FOOL . His LIFE is now in Tatters. I hope HENRY thinks she was worth it.😊

I wonder if Edward VII had similar problems after his mother's long reign. We all miss our dear late Majesty Queen Elizabeth but the truth is, she is gone now and King Charles III is monarch. He has every right to create his own traditions. Filming the Christmas message in another location is hardly the end of the world. My impression is he is very respectful of his mother's legacy but he is his own person and has a right to do little things like this his own way. Rock on Sir and Merry Christmas!

@loishaak5200 I absolutely agree. This now is the era of Charles III. I'm so used to this for we often change President (in the US). Each man does what he sees fit in terms of style and practices. Every 8 or even 4 years, we wonder what the new President will do! Not just in policy and leadership, but even in practices and the human touch.

I loved the Queen, but had she loved her son, despite her pledge to serve her life, she would have stepped down by 70. Having lost a father in law recently at over 100, it could not have been easy for KC. The Queen would have be wonderful in a guiding role, not forgetting the longevity of Prince Philip.

I simply hope the rest of us in the world won't have to be bothered by Harry and Meghan in 2025. Here's hoping the media stop promoting them every single hour of every single day, teasing us with the idea that 'the big bombshell' is about to drop (Hint: it never will, they all thrive off the clicks). As for me - I plan to stop clicking on all things Harry and Meghan in the New Year. It's all just become stupid as this story jumped the shark a long time ago. .

@@itsmrmurraytoyou4924guess who Pr Andrew met at the yachts, yes with Epstein …. the woman who told media that she didn’t know or knew very lil of the RF - yes, that one. Pr Andrew told his parents explicit details of what happened between him, Epstein & her, yes her. H didn’t care, told QEII that that’s who he wanted to marry. The internet had many photographs about those yachts and fun parties. Of course Pr A faced the consequences & rightly so. Doesn’t that suggest the same treatment for anyone that was involved with two of those men - Epstein and Pr Andrew? H is a zombie - not sure why he wld be so brain dead …. this must be sickening for his family. Enter the Nigerian scam …. this is said to have been too much even for Doria. Is it the reason they say she’s been kicked out for ‘not delivering’. Ppl can’t go on like this - messy. Of course no one knows what Pr A will do with all this. I believe he’s like her in a sense, no boundaries. Ppl have started referring to H being ‘shocked’ about a video of his wife wit Pr A at the Epstein yachts etc - that wld be mere talk, H knew that very well. His uncle spoke about it before H’s marriage and he didn’t give a damn. The truth always comes out out …

Charles did his Christmas speech the 1st year after the Queen passed from the chapel. So what is the big deal? He's still doing the traditional Christmas speeches as they've been done for the public to hear every year for centuries to make people feel good and wish them a Happy Holiday from the Royals. JEEZUS, he/they are NEVER going to please everyone because some people (we know who) are never satisfied, no matter what's done. So just rock on King Charles and do it your way, ✨️🥰.

Much more genuine that way. He put alot of thought into where he did it, & why - showing us how he really cares & how very in touch he is with us all.

I really do not think Her Majesty would expect Charles to do things the way she did. She appreciated that he was different and that he will do things in his own way. Nothing wrong with that. What is important is that, like her late Majesty, he does it with dignity and sincerity, which I believe he does.

I love the King's own approach to the Christmas message - and it neatly sidesteps all the focus on the family dynamics - which are, let's face it, a bit of a challenging area for him. And focuses on the message of acknowledging the good work of others.

The late Queen was always going to be a hard act to follow, so I applaud Charles for doing things his own way and putting his own stamp on his reign. He has been instrumental in modernising some of the traditions and limitations on the monarchy, allowing members of the RF to be more themselves rather than following the more staid practices of previous generations.

Hi Neil 👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻 I watched the King’s Speech and was thrilled by the content; His Majesty looked well and at ease and I for one appreciate the little changes here and there as He is keeping His Address up-to-date and relevant (not that I’m implying The Late Queen wasn’t relevant) and as you rightly say Neil His Majesty is putting His Stamp on the speech.
So I say Well Done Sir, good health and long life to Your Majesty.

When I was very young, 3 or 4, we always listened to the King’s speech which was very difficult since there was a lot of static as it came across the ocean. I was firmly told to be quiet because this was very important. My parents and my grandma looked very solemn, as if they were in church. The king’s stammer also made it difficult to listen to and they expressed great sympathy for him. From their attitude I assumed that King George must be next to God so I listened as carefully as I could.
