It’s unfortunate. I know I was one of the more critical voices but I think the issues with their product I pointed out were very fixable and the hope was if they ironed them out, they could’ve offered a solid rifle on their hands. But it seems it was not to be.
@@The_Casual_Collector well PSA has massive QC issues and pioneer is out of business I am trying to decide between Riley defense and Zastava for the M77 because I want the rifle for a DMR and I have heard that with match ammo it can be sub MOA (5/8 of an inch) but also hear from others it’s 4 MOA so idk I need it to be reliably 2 MOA or better
Who will ever forget that old video of Brandon Herrera going there for their range day years ago. As I recall, more than half their rifles didn't function. LMAO
Dang, I hope that it's not true that they are going out. Mine has been quite nice and i haven't had any issues with the 300+ rounds I've put through my sporter so far.
Riley Defense is an American AK manufacturer. They have stepped up a lot and are using forged parts now and I own three of rifles. Not everything is perfect on them, but it's still very good quality on par with Zastava (Serbian) or Curgir (Romanian) made AK's.
Crazy. Was actually planning on buying one of the forged aks. I know people hate on pioneer and other cheap ak makers but i am not the type of person to shoot thousands of rounds. I shoot so sparingly, that the first gun i bought in 2019 doesnt even have 500 rounds through it. So a pioneer al wouldve been perfectly "fine" for me, especially considering 762 is not a cheap round anymore
I hope they come back under the Polish ownership, rebranded and make it known they now only sell the forged series AK. These are a great value and we all love our FORGED series Pioneers.
The owner, when he was at Shot Show was bragging about a military contract they got. Must not have worked out? With F.B Radom switching to focus on the Grot and finishing up government contracts for their Beryl looks like WBP is going to be looking good.

I had no interest in their rifles or any AKM for that matter. They did import briefly a really nice Polish made side by side 12 gauge coach gun built on a 10 gauge frame with exposed hammers, Greener action, no manual safety and 18" barrels. They were high quality and built like a tank. Unfortunately they came and went off the market very quickly. The reviews were impressive. I really wanted one, but luck wasn't on my side.
