I think you got your math flipped, 1.79 parts/year is right (assuming we take your 300,000 years of history, which is debatable since the Onion clearly has access to time travel), but for the units to work out you need to multiply it’s reciprocal, 0.5576 years/part by the remaining 1,462,000 parts to get ~815,000 years remaining, which tbh is still pretty generous
