The Inquisition partially arose from the inspiration of Barriss's speech, so it's clearly going to be her reckoning with the past. I find it hard to believe that Barriss will remain an Inquisitor for long, maybe around a year.
From Barriss's perspective, she has become part of what she feared, "an army fighting for the dark side." She feared that the Jedi had lost their way, but now she will follow those who are truly lost.
The only thing she has left is something the Inquisition won't easily take away from her, and that's her morality. Her morality makes her character not a villain but a very gray and complex character (meybe anti-hero). Barriss is selfless and the most important thing to her is the lives of others, she was even willing to sacrifice her own life for others.
She will hate herself for what she'll have to do, and she'll certainly feel powerless. She can't fight this; she has to accept the past and realities and leave, betray the Empire.
Previously, she couldn't let go and leave, which led her morality to radicalization and fight against evil in the Jedi Order at all costs. It was noble but also naive. This is unfortunately the effect of Luminara's teachings because she never let go either.
Barriss must see and understand evil, but instead of naively fighting at all costs, she needs to understand that she can't do anything on her own and just leave to not be a part of that evil. She needs to learn how to let go.
And only in this case will she be able to fix her life and maybe even see Ahsoka again.
Another scenario is her death. (Later there will be situations where Barriss would be crucial but for some reason she won't be there.)
And that would be stupid. Waiting 11 years for a character's return only to have her die. Such a scenario could have been done in a comic to simply end her story.
Making her an indoctrinated Inquisitor would waste the potential of her character because it would destroy her morality, which is the foundation of her character. She could become an Inquisitor, but let it be only a part of her life, so that her story could be continued in an interesting way.

Thanks for taking the time to watch and respond! I can definitely see where her story ends up being a struggle and ends with her turning back to the light. That could set up an awesome duel with Vader too!

@@padawanpops Duel with Vader? Maybe, but probably not.
On paper, Barriss has more potential in the Force than Maul, but a duel with Vader would likely mean one thing, even if we consider that Vader is still learning to live in his suit.
And killing Barriss, just like leaving her as an Inquisitor forever, would destroy her potential.
And honestly, I didn't wait 11 years for her to die now. If they wanted to kill her and not continue her story, they could have done it, for example, in a comic.

@@hehu4025 She definitely wouldn't win, we agree there. I think it could be handled in a way that gives her some closure, but also understand where you're coming from.
People are speculating that we may see her again in Ahsoka Season 2 (not sure if that's what you were referencing in your first comment), and I think that would be cool too.

@@padawanpops Barriss in Ahsoka? I don't quite see her fitting in there:
Ahsoka is in a different galaxy.
There's Baylan there, who is literally a copy of Barriss when it comes to opinions about the Order.
It would spoil the fact that Barriss survived the Imperial era. And now you can realistically experience her story like Ahsoka's in the Clone Wars because you don't know the consequences of her decisions, you don't know what will happen to her. Literally, you know nothing, it is a mystery and watching these decisions and consequences evoke great emotions.
Additionally, after 3 episodes of Tales, I still think it would be too little to immediately introduce her into the Mandoverce. Personally, I'm hoping for another animation after The Bad Batch to really show the path Barriss chooses and emphasize what's important to her. (Maybe there I'd give her there a potential redemption arc because it has to be longer than 3 short episodes).
Tales is just a good start. This can easily be used to continue her story in other productions.
Personally, I still think she may have some connection to Grogu due to numerous similarities, but these are just my speculations and theories.
(But this is also an example of how she can be slowly prepared for Mandoverce and that is an opportunity to tell an interesting story during the Imperial era.)

@@hehu4025 Gotcha. I like the idea of the post TBB animation series. A show about the hidden path is on my wishlist.

I’m super interested to see what he’s up to so early in the Empire. I assume it may give us a look into what he has planned in the Mandoverse timeline.
      Thanks for watching!
