    Interesting.. really good gains and a very clean kit. If you don't mind me asking what's the boost to back pressure? I run a compound turbo 155cc single and I'm almost past my 100whp goal but not quite. Currently I can manage about a 1:1 boost to BP at the top around 50psi but once I turn it up beyond 60 it's starts to grow noticably. Bigger turbine housing on the primary turbo didn't help.. stating to wonder if I need a manifold with more volume. I know single by 25psi the it was around 1:1.5boost to BP by 35psi it was horrible.

Maybe not as much torque but yeah. I have an Fz07 and plan to set up to the MT10 after seeing how much it would cost to bump up the stats

      Guys are blowing their naturally aspirated engines at 100hp on the track pretty regularly. I have yet to see extreme creations comment on suggested longevity or any known issues, so I can only assume the stock internals are good to 100hp. The turbo might be a little easier on it due to the way it ramps the power, but still..

  • @SuperLEEEDWARDS
    @SuperLEEEDWARDS 5 лет назад

    Hi all i have been on the Extreme Creations website [as most of you have] and the full turbo kit excluding map-tune is a very reasonable 2000 pounds UK prices all you would need from there is either a power commander and tune or re-flash your ecu so in my opinion the MT09 IS a much heavier bike for smaller riders like myself so getting an extra 40-45 BHP into that little MT07 is well worth the cost . I fookd up a bit because my 1st choice was the MT07 but when i rode the demo it must have been the restricted version of 35KW only 47-49 BHP the full DE-RESTRICTED has 75BHP so i bought the 2019 CB500X thinking i could add more power but you cannot it is what it is with a piddling 47HP. All manufacturers de-tune their engines by a good 25-35percent so your grandma dont go grenading the engine in 500 miles so there is at least that number that CAN be played with ,yes with 115WHP you are at the very limit but who is going to thrash a new turbo install all the time unless your prepared to rebuild the engine every 2000 miles ,yes you would already have run the engine in properly put at least 1000-2000 miles on the bike before so you can rolling road it without worrying so after seeing this my bike with only 180 miles is going in PX for a 2019 MT07 hope this helps SCOOBS UK.

      I'm positive an MT09 is a better financial choice, but turbo your bike if you want too. My stock MT09 is pretty light, not sure what your talking about though. If you were pretty short that could be pain, but that's true for any bike. My first bike was an adv bike and I could not touch the ground at all with both feet - it was totally fine, just took some getting use too

    • @TheGentlemanRider
      @TheGentlemanRider 6 лет назад +2

      I was referring to the bike as a whole, and the overall geometry is involved. There is so much load transfer, she just loves to wheelie. I think that better suspension will probably not be enough, maybe a longer swingarm can do the trick. By the way, I like the stock (2018) bike, not the best weapon on the mountains but it does well enough for the occasional ride: you can keep the pace of faster bikes if you know what you are doing. And it's super easy and fun in the city (I use it as my only mean of trasportation all year long).
      I always had my bikes 100% stock and I try to buy something that fits me as it is, however I appreciate the technical knowledge of crazy experiments and tuning. Just keep in mind that is not something for everybody and the fun is in the making rather than the riding. For the regular guys like me, getting a bike that rides the way we want from the factory is just cheaper and safer.

      @@extcreat With the additions I would want thats about £4k. certainly something to think about. I still have my GPZ 750 which puts out about 116bhp( on a v good day) been thinking about a turbo kit for this XSR for a year now.
      Your fast response fills me with confidence.
      if I email you on the website could you send my a spec list, I need to know my local garage can fit it for me. thank you.

    I would still get an 09. Sounds better imo

  • @TheOzTurkish

    That seems mighty low for an Mt09, mines dyno'd at 115hp and 79ft/lb peak, sure it doesn't need strapping down?

    • @extcreat
      @extcreat  6 лет назад +2

      TheOzTurkish Dynojet dyno's read about 10% higher than our Dyno but that's not what we care about, it's the comparison of two bikes on the same Dyno

    Best bike ever.
    But not legal in germany.
    And I would be scared to destroy the engine.
    113 HP is a lot.

    Stock MT09 reliability will be much better than the Turbo'd MT07.Slap a Akra full system o n the MT09 = equally beautiful but different sound and cheaper.

  • @AmritGrewal31

    1) 1:23.. that turbo lag and threshold.. you can just hear it
    2) you'll need to drop a crap ton of money on engine mods to make it stronger and yet void the warranty
    Why not just get a super duke or an mt10?

    • @extcreat
      @extcreat  4 года назад

      1) Thats not turbo lag, this type of dyno has a brake that locks it a a certian speed before the run alllowing us to go full throttle then release the brake , this is done to stabilize AFR before the run.
      2) The base kit can be used on a stock engine with no reliability issues , only requiring internal engine parts if the boost is turned up
      Not everyone wants an MT10 or superduke

      @@extcreat TBH, it's been 3 yrs since that comment and I didn't even remember it. Today, I found myself searching turbo mt07 for some reason. I must admit that you're absolutely correct; sometimes you want something a bit spicier than your regular diet.
      BTW, atleast clutch would need an upgrade tp handle the torque increase.
      Also, have you guys also developed cams optimised for the turbo?
