I told you, this group is fantastic. I think Killing verse is the best choice to react for the first time to iKON, they're the chillest group honestly. The group was created by YG through the show Mix and Match but before that they competed on WIN: Who is next (that's where GD mentored them and Taeyang mentored the other team) Those two are the most brutal survival shows in Korea so far, that's what the polls say, not me but it's true... They used to be 7 members at the beginning but since 2019 they're 6 members, currently they're no longer in YG but they are still active in 143 entertainment, they have been active for almost 9 years as a group. The Members: Bobby: Awesome rapper. I hope you check out his MVs because his discography is insane. - Jay/ Jinhwan is the short guy you said is your favorite vocalist because of his vocal control. He's the same person you said in the previous reaction that rapped fast, but actually he is the main vocalist, he is the oldest in the group and effectively the one who leads iKON. He's also a great soloist with RnB style, he is currently in military service. - DK is the blond guy that you say has a nasal voice, although there is not much difference with his speaking voice. He's the main dancer but vocally his specialty is falsetto, so you're right. He debuted as a soloist recently, I recommend checking him out. - Chanwoo is the tall black-haired mystery guy and don't worry, he looks mysterious to everyone, he is the youngest of the group. He is also an actor, although he is inactive for now. - JU-NE or Junhoe is the guy with orange/pink hair and he is also the main vocalist, random like no one else. He is an actor, he is currently very active and has some ost songs. I recommend you to watch Deep Night ft. Bobby. - Song or Yunhyeong is the boy with platinum hair, he is the visual one and as a vocalist his specialty is high notes. Daesung is his role model so you can imagine he's a SHOW MAN when he is on stage. He has a couple of solo songs in the trot genre. They produce and write their own music, participate in creating their choreography, directing their concepts, and literally do everything. Their last album was Take Off and it was a mix of more than 7 musical genres... The lastest songs as 6 members was Panorama and T.TM because Jay/Jinhwan left for military service so they haven't released music as a group although they still do concerts with 5 members. This year Bobby, Song and Chanwoo will enlist for military service, so only DK and Junhoe will be active and Jay returns in 2025.
The special one about iKON is they just having fun while singing so we as an audience feels enjoy watching too, thats why even we only watch them on YT we can feel their energy somehow and i dont think lot of kpop idol can do that, imo. Thats why i love them so much and i dont mind if i went to their concert for thosand times 😂 Also their adlibs is crazy especially the orange hair (june) and bobby, many times they make adlibs out of nowhere but its fun to watch and hear tbh their adlibs make the songs 100000000x times much better 😂😂
adlibs is crazyy that is what separates them from other groups. They just have fun too and playful with their music. I want to hop on the adlibs with them

They were trained when Bigbang was still active in YG before and became their mentor. You can actually tell if the artists came from YG the swag, stage presence and live is always incredible even if its vocal or rapline! You must watch their live concerts 😎

I don't know any group that has participated in more survival shows than iKON. This is a group that has suffered many bad punches of fate. They debuted in 2015 and since then YG started to explode them with non-stop concerts in Japan, two concerts per day and at the same time they participated in a survival show in China. The members slept on the floor, slept 2 hours before flying to China, in concerts they used oxygen cylinders not to faint. In 2018 they release their big hit Love Scenario, they become very popular internationally because the song is an emote for fornite but in 2019 the former leader B.I has a drug scandal and leaves the group suddenly, the members later revealed that they didn't even know he was leaving. People in Korea start attacking all the members, fans boycott, kmedia labeled them as a national disgrace, brands that represented them crossed out their faces from ads literally, ads that were on the street had their faces crossed out, was horrible and they had to finish concerts in Japan that year and put up with the negative things that were said about them, Jay took the place as leader because he had been temporary leader before and maybe because he was the most mentally capable to face the situation but after that YG sent the members who remained to hiatus. In 2020 YG put ikon to release an album with songs that the former leader B.I had composed because he was the main producer of the group before and the fans hated them more but got better when DK included a song produced by him in that album and he became the main producer of the group since then together with Bobby, also Jay and June. Then Jay and June have a car accident and all the group were sent to hiatus again. In 2021 they enter another survival show against other groups, they did it because was the only way to be active, YG wasn't giving them anything and then there was the pandemic, they didn't feel good about what was going on and were frustrated that they couldn't do more and expressed it several times. Seriously was sad to see Jay apologize to the other members hundreds of times for this but it wasn't his fault tho. In 2022 the contract with YG ended and they finally left that agency. 7 years in YG and the only one who had a solo debut was Bobby because that was one of the "prizes" of Show Me The Money, the other members despite also composing music never had a solo until they left. 2023 was the best year of their careers, maybe they don't have #1 in the music charts but they are free, they produce music freely, almost all members already have solo music, they're really strong because despite those sheeett things they never wanted to be inactive and they want to remain a group. B.I. too, many people see him as a villain but in reality he was a victim from the industry and his own agency, the pressure they put on that poor kid, no one deserves it. The good thing is that B.I has been a solo artist since 2021, although he is is still on probation he can make his music, his thing and has his own agency. We have not seen any reunions between ikon and b.i and it seems that they are no longer close friends but they respect each other, some members of iKON have sent messages of support to B.I. and they are fond of him, there is no friction between them and that is good. B.I has never said anything about iKON but I don't think he has anything against the guys so yup.

Update to a part: "B.I has never said anything about iKON" A week ago he had live broadcast on a paid service Bubble and some fan asked if he had seen iKON member Yunhyeong's (SONG) new MV "it's call" And Hanbin decided to answer that question and he explained that he had received a link from Yunhyeong to that MV, he watched it from a start to finish and he liked it very much, he said that it was cool! He mentioned that he told it to Yunhyeong too! He also played 'Rubber Band' demo on that same live. So imo they are in good terms in privately and we shouldn't speculate their relationships more. They all are doing fine now on their music career and if they ever have a chance to collab, I'm more than excited!
KJ thanks for reacting to iKON. Bobby is a sweeping rapper, bigbang's top always praised Bobby's rap a lot since pre-debut. Also, you should know that there were 6 in here but they will always be a 7 member group in iKONics' hearts. The member who left is iKON's forever charismatic leader B.I/Hanbin, he is currently a successful soloist. He was closely compared to GD early on, especially in how very similar their journey in YG was, and how their demeanor was during practices, also like GD he handled the producing and writing for the group and also choreographed. I won't get into the gritty of why he left because it is a heavy topic.

YG also used them as a money making machine with endless tours. iKON is the only kpop group I listen to because they are more “western” style to me. Amazing talents without the crazy makeup and choreography although they’re amazing dancers! Bobby is the only rapper but it’s THE Bobby. Jinhwan and Junhoe are the main vocalists. Junhoe is also a poet and an actor. DK is the main dancer and has a solo out. Yunhyeong auditioned as an actor. He also has a solo out. Chanwoo (the mysterious guy) is a child actor. Yes. A bunch of ridiculously talented men with the best personalities. Love them. They won grandslam rookies in China, Japan, and Korea with their debut song, the only group to ever win producers of the year. Many first and only with the group. That small guy name is Jay (Jinhwan in korean). He is indeed the leader and the eldest in the group. He is doing his military service now. I recommend his song "BLUE MOON" from his 1st solo album. You gonna love it.
This is one of my favorite Killing Verse! Funny how you were ATTACKED by Bobby. He just released a full album, Sir Robert! B.I, their former leader who is now a soloist, was more like GD. iKon also has big brothers, Winner, who are the Kings of Summer, and younger brothers called Treasure, the youngest among YG boy groups. I really hope you can check out Treasure one of these days. Winner and iKon were made to stray away from Bigbang's image so they could have their own identity. But, YG is bringing back the Bigbang vibes through Treasure, esp the young formative years of Bigbang. In this group, you get two mini GDs, two mini TOPs, one and only mini Daesung, Seungri, and Taeyang, but a lot more! They're all equally amazing I hope you check them all out!
I have to check out treasure because idk if you can replicate another group like BB. I think also the newbies wont ever experience what BB had to go through as a group and personally. Not saying that is a bad thing but at the sametime BB made music of their experiences which made it easier to connect with their music. I agree Ikon is different from BB but you can see that they arent just out here to make money. I feel almost they dont even care for the money more than the art

This show will give u pov how kpop idols are trained and how they are picked to be members of the team till they debut. By the way this show was one of the biggest happened in Kpop Industry and was one of the show that will truly ride with your emotions and brain.

@ts7715 You've got to check out Winner, too. They're as amazing. Mino, one of their rappers, also almost won Show Me the Money, a year after Bobby won. The show just can't have two idol rappers win consecutively so they had Mino as first runner up. Their maknae leader, Kang Seung Yoon , also won 4th in a prestigious singing contest, Superstar K2. So yes, iKon got good competition.

I told you, this group is fantastic. I think Killing verse is the best choice to react for the first time to iKON, they're the chillest group honestly. The group was created by YG through the show Mix and Match but before that they competed on WIN: Who is next (that's where GD mentored them and Taeyang mentored the other team) Those two are the most brutal survival shows in Korea so far, that's what the polls say, not me but it's true... They used to be 7 members at the beginning but since 2019 they're 6 members, currently they're no longer in YG but they are still active in 143 entertainment, they have been active for almost 9 years as a group.
The Members: Bobby: Awesome rapper. I hope you check out his MVs because his discography is insane. - Jay/ Jinhwan is the short guy you said is your favorite vocalist because of his vocal control. He's the same person you said in the previous reaction that rapped fast, but actually he is the main vocalist, he is the oldest in the group and effectively the one who leads iKON. He's also a great soloist with RnB style, he is currently in military service. - DK is the blond guy that you say has a nasal voice, although there is not much difference with his speaking voice. He's the main dancer but vocally his specialty is falsetto, so you're right. He debuted as a soloist recently, I recommend checking him out. - Chanwoo is the tall black-haired mystery guy and don't worry, he looks mysterious to everyone, he is the youngest of the group. He is also an actor, although he is inactive for now. - JU-NE or Junhoe is the guy with orange/pink hair and he is also the main vocalist, random like no one else. He is an actor, he is currently very active and has some ost songs. I recommend you to watch Deep Night ft. Bobby. - Song or Yunhyeong is the boy with platinum hair, he is the visual one and as a vocalist his specialty is high notes. Daesung is his role model so you can imagine he's a SHOW MAN when he is on stage. He has a couple of solo songs in the trot genre.
They produce and write their own music, participate in creating their choreography, directing their concepts, and literally do everything. Their last album was Take Off and it was a mix of more than 7 musical genres... The lastest songs as 6 members was Panorama and T.TM because Jay/Jinhwan left for military service so they haven't released music as a group although they still do concerts with 5 members. This year Bobby, Song and Chanwoo will enlist for military service, so only DK and Junhoe will be active and Jay returns in 2025.
Jay got to keep singing like that. Let bobby do the rapping lol he is great at both though.
YG Treasure Box is now the brutalist of them all. I can't watch that show again without ugly crying again.
The special one about iKON is they just having fun while singing so we as an audience feels enjoy watching too, thats why even we only watch them on YT we can feel their energy somehow and i dont think lot of kpop idol can do that, imo. Thats why i love them so much and i dont mind if i went to their concert for thosand times 😂
Also their adlibs is crazy especially the orange hair (june) and bobby, many times they make adlibs out of nowhere but its fun to watch and hear tbh their adlibs make the songs 100000000x times much better 😂😂

I don't know any group that has participated in more survival shows than iKON. This is a group that has suffered many bad punches of fate. They debuted in 2015 and since then YG started to explode them with non-stop concerts in Japan, two concerts per day and at the same time they participated in a survival show in China. The members slept on the floor, slept 2 hours before flying to China, in concerts they used oxygen cylinders not to faint. In 2018 they release their big hit Love Scenario, they become very popular internationally because the song is an emote for fornite but in 2019 the former leader B.I has a drug scandal and leaves the group suddenly, the members later revealed that they didn't even know he was leaving. People in Korea start attacking all the members, fans boycott, kmedia labeled them as a national disgrace, brands that represented them crossed out their faces from ads literally, ads that were on the street had their faces crossed out, was horrible and they had to finish concerts in Japan that year and put up with the negative things that were said about them, Jay took the place as leader because he had been temporary leader before and maybe because he was the most mentally capable to face the situation but after that YG sent the members who remained to hiatus.
In 2020 YG put ikon to release an album with songs that the former leader B.I had composed because he was the main producer of the group before and the fans hated them more but got better when DK included a song produced by him in that album and he became the main producer of the group since then together with Bobby, also Jay and June. Then Jay and June have a car accident and all the group were sent to hiatus again. In 2021 they enter another survival show against other groups, they did it because was the only way to be active, YG wasn't giving them anything and then there was the pandemic, they didn't feel good about what was going on and were frustrated that they couldn't do more and expressed it several times. Seriously was sad to see Jay apologize to the other members hundreds of times for this but it wasn't his fault tho. In 2022 the contract with YG ended and they finally left that agency. 7 years in YG and the only one who had a solo debut was Bobby because that was one of the "prizes" of Show Me The Money, the other members despite also composing music never had a solo until they left. 2023 was the best year of their careers, maybe they don't have #1 in the music charts but they are free, they produce music freely, almost all members already have solo music, they're really strong because despite those sheeett things they never wanted to be inactive and they want to remain a group.
B.I. too, many people see him as a villain but in reality he was a victim from the industry and his own agency, the pressure they put on that poor kid, no one deserves it. The good thing is that B.I has been a solo artist since 2021, although he is is still on probation he can make his music, his thing and has his own agency. We have not seen any reunions between ikon and b.i and it seems that they are no longer close friends but they respect each other, some members of iKON have sent messages of support to B.I. and they are fond of him, there is no friction between them and that is good. B.I has never said anything about iKON but I don't think he has anything against the guys so yup.

Update to a part: "B.I has never said anything about iKON" A week ago he had live broadcast on a paid service Bubble and some fan asked if he had seen iKON member Yunhyeong's (SONG) new MV "it's call" And Hanbin decided to answer that question and he explained that he had received a link from Yunhyeong to that MV, he watched it from a start to finish and he liked it very much, he said that it was cool! He mentioned that he told it to Yunhyeong too! He also played 'Rubber Band' demo on that same live. So imo they are in good terms in privately and we shouldn't speculate their relationships more.
They all are doing fine now on their music career and if they ever have a chance to collab, I'm more than excited!

Bobby is the main rapper of iKON as you can tell, but he also sings from time to time, believe it or not, he listens to more reggae than hip-hop. Bobby was born in South Korea but moved to West Virginia, during his time in the US he discovered his talent in rapping. Along with B.I He also co-produces and co-writes iKON's discography much like GD&TOP was for BIGBANG and also like them B.I & Bobby got the nickname Double B from the fans but unfortunately, we never got to see a sub-unit with them but they have a song together called ANTHEM. After B.I departed from the group, Bobby took on the responsibility of producing and composing for iKON along with fellow member DK. Bobby is also the youngest and only idol to ever win SHOW ME THE MONEY, this show is a rap battle program that B.I & Bobby joined in, and around that time idol rappers were stereotyped (except for a few who were acknowledged by the underground rap scene) that they couldn't really rap or write their own verses and that they had ghostwriters for their verses, and now combined that stereotype with the fact that their label was YG Ent who is known for having unique rappers in the industry, they had huge targets as well as carrying expectations on their backs. Bobby won the 3rd season of SMTM becoming its youngest winner in history at just 18-19 years old and also becoming the only idol who ever won the show and it is in its 9th season already. Being the only idol who won the program, Bobby broke the idol rapper stereotype and because of that idol rappers now are getting respect from the underground scene. Bobby featured an aggressive, husky, and rough style of rapping in the show, something that has never been seen in K-pop before, if you ever see an aggressive style of rapping in K-pop nowadays know that it came from Bobby. Currently, Bobby is married and has a son already but unlike Taeyang, his wife is a non-celebrity, and Bobby's kid is turning 3 in September this year.

Also, you should know that there were 6 in here but they will always be a 7 member group in iKONics' hearts. The member who left is iKON's forever charismatic leader B.I/Hanbin, he is currently a successful soloist. He was closely compared to GD early on, especially in how very similar their journey in YG was, and how their demeanor was during practices, also like GD he handled the producing and writing for the group and also choreographed. I won't get into the gritty of why he left because it is a heavy topic.

That small guy name is Jay (Jinhwan in korean). He is indeed the leader and the eldest in the group. He is doing his military service now. I recommend his song "BLUE MOON" from his 1st solo album. You gonna love it.
This is one of my favorite Killing Verse! Funny how you were ATTACKED by Bobby. He just released a full album, Sir Robert! B.I, their former leader who is now a soloist, was more like GD. iKon also has big brothers, Winner, who are the Kings of Summer, and younger brothers called Treasure, the youngest among YG boy groups. I really hope you can check out Treasure one of these days. Winner and iKon were made to stray away from Bigbang's image so they could have their own identity. But, YG is bringing back the Bigbang vibes through Treasure, esp the young formative years of Bigbang. In this group, you get two mini GDs, two mini TOPs, one and only mini Daesung, Seungri, and Taeyang, but a lot more! They're all equally amazing I hope you check them all out!
I have to check out treasure because idk if you can replicate another group like BB. I think also the newbies wont ever experience what BB had to go through as a group and personally. Not saying that is a bad thing but at the sametime BB made music of their experiences which made it easier to connect with their music. Though you won't be able to watch it anywhere because final episode wasn't released due to politics between Korea and China, it got scraped
Also personally, Bobby won in Show me the money 3 rapping competition show, Donghyuk won JYP survival audition and Junhoe got award on that audition too (all pre-debut). So they've got many achievements under their belt xD

The show just can't have two idol rappers win consecutively so they had Mino as first runner up. Their maknae leader, Kang Seung Yoon , also won 4th in a prestigious singing contest, Superstar K2. So yes, iKon got good competition.
