What are your thoughts on the car list?
EDIT: I do apologies as there are a few cars are hidden behind the Career mode such as the 2020 Audi R8, Dodge Demon, Lexus LFA, 2017 Ford GT, 1993 Porsche 911 GT2, KTM Xbow GT2 & Acura #6 ARX-05 DPi
I miss the Zonda
The list is good, but I pass, because AMC Gremlin is not in the game.
It's atrocious..Forza Motorsport 7 was much better.
The UI looks atrocious as well

@@tommynickolausme too. Even Coco Hayashi (Setsuna Yuki new Voice Actor) also disliked the car list in Forza Motorsport 8 due to no Pagani Zonda and Zonda R.
Car list aside, this OST is amazing. It's very FM6-esque. I love it.
The same people who made the Fm6 soundtrack did this one too. Smart decision.

Happy to see the return of the Toyota GT-One and the Bentley Speed 8 but sad that many other race cars from that era are still missing. For the CLK-GTR they don't even have the road version this time, which they usually always have. Probably one of the cars that they are holding back for the car pass...
The track list is more disappointing than the car list though. Many iconic tracks missing and the 3 new fictional tracks all seem rather basic.
Toyota GTONE from Maki Nishikino and Bentley Speed 8 from Mia Taylor still a huge plus in FORZA MOTORSPORT 8 but.... no Karin Asaka & Emma Verde's Peugeot 908s! Sad. 😢
The CLK-GTR appeared in a few of the achievement images for the game so I am really hoping it's just hidden behind events, otherwise I too will be majorly let down as that's the one car I wanted the most.
If the car used to be in the game, it most likely isn't going to be locked behind the Car Pass in FM8 (unless that car is the 911 Sport Classic then it's more complicated).
I hope we get the Porsche 911 GT1 98' in an update/DLC to revive this legendary rivalry...I'm glad we get the 97' Straßenversion at least but the 98' one is on another level. The most beautiful car on the planet imo
@@c4r4dd1ct6 I suspect there might be either hidden cars or (more likely) cars that were patched out for the release version...I was very excited when I was 95% sure I spotted the 2018 Porsche 935 in one of the trailers earlier but now it's nowhere to be seen .
But now that I see the car list it's possible that I mistook the Mission R for it, which I've never seen before and could possibly have a similar rear view

You can definitely see the new PI system at work. Some cars are lower/higher in PI by a decent enough amount that it'll significantly change what upgrades you can fit.
GT5 and 6 car lists are still miles above the car list from Forza Motorsport 8. Even PROJECT CARS 2 (three times less cars than FM8) still far better.

@@purwantiallan5089 i really dont think bring up gt5/6 and PC2 car list has anything to do with this + a good chunk of those cars which was on gt5/6 was a ripped off model of gt4 poorly ported just to say 'we have a good amount of cars'.
I'm noticing a distinct lack of open wheelers like the 2000 era lotus and the indy cars. Hopefully we'll see them return in time.

I miss the Lotus 340R. It was last seen in Forza Horizon 4.
It's kind of a bruh moment since Microsoft is one of the sponsors for Alpine F1 team (which was the case too for the earlier games featuring the car from the current season)
I'm noticing a distinct lack of cars period. There's only one LMH/LMDh (in 3 different colors; they're not actually different cars), some Forza GT cars are missing, still no GT4 machinery, there are zero DP.i cars *DESPITE* seeing both the Cadillac DP.i *and* the Acura ARX-04 DP.i in the game, first in the trailer (the Cadillac), then in the menu for the game (the Acura), etc. It's absolutely ridiculous, *especially* for the game that prides itself on being the motorsport game (that is literally what it is called)
Actually surprised they don't have any of the Bugatti Veyrons, any of the Lamborghini Murcielagos, any of the Pagani Zondas or any of the Koenigsegg CCs
It’s sad to see it’s as if they’ve moved past that era of cars. Growing up on motorsports 1-4 those cars were amongst the best

It’s finally great to see some proper GT3/LMP/Touring cars return to the Forza franchise.

They removed a lot of them for random newer ones though i hope they add rhem back in the future
We didn't even get any new ones, just ones from 2018. And then the least they could do is bring back all the old GT cars if they weren't gonna give us newer cars. But the Z4 GTLM is missing, and so are the SLS GT3's and the old Super Trofeo's.
No GT3 or GTLM Ferrari.
What is the dev team doing.
@@Maverick9k They're excluding cars that have been in previous titles so they can add them into the game later on and call it "new content".

LEGIT. Over half of this carlist atleast is old plastic looking models... this is why i dont really love Forzas carlist. Most of the cars ara bad outdated models and its sad to see

Disappointed, seems they've taken zero interest in how we wanted more normal cars like back in the day with Forza M4. Even the Fiesta ST has gone.

I don't think Forza is ever gonna have a car list as good and diverse as they did in the Motorsport 1-4 era. It's a shame.

It’s nice to see that Infiniti has some good cars in here instead of just the Q60 concept like in horizon still I wish they had the g37 sport sedan, the Q60 and Q50 red sport and also an M series car
the fact that the speed 12 is gone and the 2016 corsa is still here sums it all up
Really hope they add more Pagani and Koenigseggs in future updates

The rest I looked for it and there are no where to be seen.
I think NASCAR will come with an expansion/DLC like FM6, still don’t understand why so many are missing. Even the F82 M4 isn’t there, only the GTS. Same for the E92 M3 as well, hopefully you can remove the wings and/or put the reg M3/M4 spoiler

When I see all these classic LeMans cars I hope we get to race them in online races with Qualifying and all that. That would be awesome.
Just last night instead of putting FH5 on I played some FM7, felt good. Love the new car list, can't wait to try a few out.
I already tried one. Coco Hayashi somehow loved FM8 despite online only for even career mode completely ruined the game.

This is such a strange lineup, a lot of new variety, yet missing some cars that I’m surprised about, Pagani is missing quite a few cars, and that is but one example another being the 99 lotus elise, and the lack of a new f1 or f1-esque car

Plus, a lot of the cars are old re-used 3D models from many years ago…
Considering the number of F1 cars from the 1976 season, it is somewhat disappointed that we did not get the legendary 6-wheeled Tyrell P34.
Need more cars from 2021 to 2024. Even Crew Motorfest already have Revuelto

I will miss them including my dad's 2014 Raptor which I loved driving in Forza motorsport 6 and 7 I will miss this truck but at least I have the other 2 games
missing some of cars that called motosport spec like most of the GT3 racing cars isn't in the game. Its literally Forza Horizon 5 but racing on circuit race track
Yes im with you. They should add more gt3 cars to have and good conpetions online. Legend cars like mercedes amg gt3, ferarri 296 gt3, nissan nismo gt3 and the m4 gt3!

It’s ok though because the game has been “built from the ground up” hence why the S15 model looks the same as the one in forza 3.

Most expensive cars in FM8 are basically between $500.000 to $1.500.000.

So they recycled cars from fm7 and fh5, only saw a handful of new to the series cars. But still disappointing, a lot of cars you’ll probably just get for free and will just collect dust. Would love to see updated models “(hellcat widebody red eye)”.
Yeah really disappointed, I honestly was look king forward to the game as thought there was no way they'd get it so wrong with the car lists again.

I highly doubt that they’re gonna add in an updated model of the Hellcat. I already noticed that they removed the Challenger Hellcat, and they still have the same 2015 model Charger Hellcat.
I’m glad Porsche 911 gt3 2007 have returned to forza because the car was only in forza motorsport 2, 3, and 4. The car I’m talking about at 7:49

(I think you already know because I’m late to say this and also been 5 months) But I also want to say something like, The 2007 Porsche 911 GT3 replaced the 2012 one that is GT3 RS 4.0 which is funny honestly
At least they kept the aar eagle mark 3, my favorite race car of all time. Would be nice to see more of the IMSA GTO/GTU/GTS cars

There is also no 2017 Ford GT road car, which is strange to me, because that was literally the Forza Motorsport 6 cover car, and was showcased on the Xbox Livestreams about this game.

When I look at the menu of these cars it feels more to an older Gran Turismo menu cars to me
In one of the shots present on IGCD, the McLaren Senna GTR was shown in game but is not shown in the list so i am guessing it's unlocked in the career mode if it's in game. Also, they should have brought back some missing cars such as the McLaren F1 GTR, Mercedes SLR and so on

All cars from FH5, but on track. "NEW FM" - actually pretty regular game, like an DLC to FH5
Ngl I like it I love old silhouette cars and I think this fits it pretty well!
I was surprised by some and disappointed by others. Wasn't expecting a lot of the older Le Man protos/racers, but the hypercar selection is truly lacking, especially considering the huge pool in FH5. Weird to just leave a ton behind, and as a little Pagani fanboy Im still let down by the lack of choice for brands like that. We got a wagon Bugatti, but we got 3 in total from Koin and Pag? Strange choices.

That was the only DTM Astra, and it hasn’t appeared since FM4

Say what you want about LFA, Veryon, or Zondas, this car has my personal A-list
AMC Javelin, BMW M3 GTS, Mitsubishi GTO, Cuda 426, Gen 1 Audi R8, Dodge Coronet Super Bee, and Dodge Stealth
Since im from USA, hopefully they will add more Muscle cars as time goes by !
Yea, but I'm happy with this lineup, Charger Daytona, Cuda and GTX 426, Javelin, etc.
No Pontiac g8 gxp and Chevy SS sedan like Motorsport 7 I hope to see a more wider range of Australian/American muscle cars.
So bizarre not seeing the Sagaris in the list. Felt like it was a forced inclusion in every racing game ever made.

I mean, we got the Cadillac at least? But I don't think we'll see any of the others for a very long time. Which is sad given how many manufacturers are re-joining WEC and IMSA.
There are a lot of cars that can add to the Horizon like Giulietta, Bautista and Corvette Z06, i dont understand why they arent in Horizon

@@adribumer3245no future dlc for FH5 was expected to be included in the ultimate edition. The ultimate edition clearly tells you what comes with it and anything not listed on there is expected to be paid dlc. They’ve been doing this for years yet people are still surprised by it and complain
The Alfa Romeo Giulietta QV was in Forza Horizon 2, but would like to see it return to the Horizon games.

1) This is the first time I have NOT seen the 1977 Pontiac Trans Am in a Forza game (both Motorsport AND Horizon).
2) So we still got the 1969 Dodge Charger.
3) They brought back the DeLorean DMC-12 for Horizon 5, but not for the new Motorsport? The DeLorean hasn’t seen a racetrack since FM4.
4) Nice to see the Dodge Stealth is back. Haven’t seen that since FM4.
5) I haven’t seen the 1967 Shelby GT500 or the 1999 Shelby Series 1 since FM4.
6) The 1971 Ford Mustang Mach 1 is gone.
7) I guess I’m done with getting new Forza games. I have enough of both Motorsport and Horizon in my life. All the cars I liked, I can always drive them in any of the previous games.

I pretty surprised they added the DP (Daytona Prototype the Wayne Taylor Konica Minolta Chevy and the Ford Chip Ganassi) but none DPi (Daytona Prototype International, the sucessor of DP) and few LMDh…i hope in the future they make a “IMSA/WEC bundle” which add the classic tracks like Sebring for example
They removed the Renault F1 car
I am still seeing FM1 models which is expected, but still really sad
They have a complete Gear animation or is only another copy and paste from the previous forza series
Im very happy Forza continues to include Australian cars, but a bit dissapointed they removed all of the utes😢
If they're still re-using cars, why would they get rid of anything?
Longevity, more likely than not. They did say they don't intend to make another Motorsport title after this (at least not for a long time) but intend on keeping this game going with updates and added content.
I guarantee you they intentionally held back certain models so they can "add" them in future updates, or maybe some of them will be completely redone "from the ground up" as they liked to say leading up to the release lol.
Bro I’m gonna sound like a saddo but I jumped when I saw the Toyota Trueno because idk why I just find that one to be my favourite and there isn’t many games that have it anymore so to see it is exciting
