Love this clip but I've surfed clearer water. Once the water was so clear on a med/big glassy day I could not tell where the bottom of the wave was. All I could see was the reef. It was like riding on invisibility. Only happened once in 2 decades of surfing.

Not having really surfed, I don't know how you don't get totally shredded after a wipeout. It's a mystery to me.

I've never touched a surf board in my life and I thought to myself , "Jesus Christ it looks like that coral would be only too willing to erase your skin down to the white meat".
Why are all these videos sped up or slowed down? I think the slo mo is cool, but I wish they would include a regular speed video

if not the video is gonna be 10 seconds long and you wont be able to appreciate it.
I had no idea they moved so fast down the wave, but I guess that's why I don't surf there :P
Katsu LA lol the sped up version was longer then 10 seconds..
eric Burtron Try watching the 'slowed down' part in 2x speed with Chrome's-RUclips speed feature. Just click the gear icon in the bottom right of the player and pick 2x speed. It actually plays at a better framerate (and looks better) than the 'Normal speed' recap at the end of the video.
That’s one of the raddest thing I’ve seen. To all the other surfers out there we are a unique bunch
