She was a great child actor she nailed the role of Laura shows today don't even compare to little house on the prairie such a great show for families to watch without vulgarity and crap glad the show has never been off the air shows you how great it is thanks Melissa for a great show and the rest of the cast

Watched Little House in the 70s with my siblings, then had my children watch it when young and they all loved it. It was a show with a good moral compass. My children are 32 to 16. The Ingalls taught many American children how to do the right thing in life. Very impactful for those children with busy parents or absent parents to learn from. Great casting.
My sister (she is 59) looked just like you as a child; the hair, face, teeth, freckles and so we siblings and the neighborhood called her Laura and if anyone acted like Nellie we would say "stop being a Nellie Olson". All of us neighbor kids are now 50s and 60s. Most of us connected through fb and friends. Time flew.
My mother dressed us in the dresses and bonnets with the Holly Hobbie dolls, bed sheets, & lunch pals.
She still looks like herself when she was 9 year old Laura Ingalls! That's a compliment.

Does Melissa Gilbert still owe a everyone money? She owes almost a half a million in back taxes, and was living in a borrowed cabin in Michigan. It's not a pretty story. Half-pint could not buy a house because of more than $470,000 in federal and state tax liens.

@@donnalindsey611 Actually it is EVERYONE'S business... The Democratic party shipped Half-Pint and her goofy husband to MICHIGAN to establish residency, and run her popular name against actual Michigan politicians in a race for Congress.
Half-Pint was forced to CANCEL her political run when it was revealed what a terrible jerk she is.
Once Melissa Gilbert's massive tax debt was revealed, the party withdrew support for her. Half-Pint got kicked out, and was homeless when the donor wanted the house back and she was forced to sell her personal possessions in an estate sale.
A SECOND estate sale, at another borrowed Michigan property was SHUT DOWN. The presumption was, the sale was halted by the I.R.S.
