No joke, the captions are like 40-50% of the comedic experience of TMPH for me. I enjoy them so much that I find myself wishing they were on the regular Grumps episodes. There's just something about the captioner having to approximate the vibe of sounds and music by putting, like, the Willy Wonka tunnel speech in caps in brackets that really adds so much to the experience.

On the first tries with the ballistic gel, it was very funny and in Grumps fashion that Arin confidently said "I know what I'm doing [in terms of engaging the whole body] I did box", and proceeds to bash the gel more than slash, whereas Dan had a move that was more slashing.
For anyone that isn't familiar: For best results with a slashing weapon, you want to slide the edge along the target, or hit with the tip. That will cause more damage than a perpendicular bash to the side.
Missed opportunity to title this “game grumps try swordplay”

playing with swords is a satisfying feeling and why i learned how to throw knives. when I'm camping I could throw knives at a stump for HOURS. i tried axes but they are more finicky and clunky. not my thing. but flicking a knife and having it make that "fwump" noise and stick in the wood. it feels so damn good.
PSA: practice blade safety. learn from a professional, do not try at home.

Some of these “mall ninja” swords look like the wet-nightmares of Rob Leifeld molded into a tangible blade.
The thing is there are actually quite a few good budget swords for under 100$.
The Cobra Steel ones are really good quality, even if they look really cheap. Reasonably durable and good for cutting practice.
Also watermelon? You can cut a watermelon with a spoon if its ripe enough. Pumpkins are much better as they are soft enough to not damage the blades, but offer enough resistance to actually make a good looking cut.
This was hands down one of the funnest videos you've done. Part of me wants to try out those swords but the other half of me is terrified lol.

Im impressed rainbow fun did so well, usually the blades that look like that are cheaply made and/or just for decoration and the rainbow colour hides the fact it's cheap
