Laughing the shit out of me the second to the left start running late while the first to the left gave the signal I am gonna get the F... ck out of here...Nice video..
How does the lioness,a fierce and dogged hunter, estimate when to give up the chase on warthogs - even at close range? Notice that she hardly does that when going after preys with long legs and which are also fast runners, for example the zebra.
Kelvin Okoroafor Warthogs are explosively fast with high twitch fibres and can zig zag at great speed when running. What this means is that if the lioness doesn't get an early jump on them (as was the case here), no bacon for her. And don't forget - lions are surprise ambush predators with not the greatest aerobic capacity so tire quickly and cannot chase prey for extended periods of time. This is why - contrary to popular belief - their hunting success rate is not that high.
@@TheDazzler420 No, it's actually not that high. They give up quickly so they don't waste energy. If they went all out every time, they would not succeed. Warthogs don't need to be hunting animals and they always have energy to get away.
@@cquilty1 Warthogs are insanely fast and are just 1 solid fast twitch fiber lol. I can't think of another animal with that ability to turn around so quickly or zig zag
It's called natural instinct. You have to remember that it is probably hot as shit out there. You have to conserve energy. Also, she looks knocked up, so that probably isn't helping matters.
That has to be the most exciting video I’ve EVER seen on RUclips. Congratulations!!👍🏾

The popular belief is that their success is not high, actually they have good success rate depending on the size of the live stock.
