The second helmet with the square holes on top was most likely post war destruction of equipment... There are a number of videos where helmets are shown being hit with pick axes and some were even turned into cook pots....
So a British officer picked up a helmet allegedly from a head shot, washed out the shattered remains of a human head , put it in his bag while fleeing on the beaches of Dunkirk ? Seriously?
looks like to me it was not battle damaged but just targeted helmet. Unusual??? .............. no it's not battle damaged! What a joke. I am talking about the first one M35 DD helmet. And the visiting guy is MEANING basically "if it was a real battle damaged helmet, it should be blood explosion everywhere and you won't see the liner alive like this." kinda he was being sarcastic but this guy doesn't understand what this visiting guy is talking about. :) So funny seeing it. It's ok for him not understanding fully about steel helmet but asserting it as battle damaged like how he says is big NO to the genuine german helmet collecting community. He could also lose his credential in big time like that. Other than that, It's a good video and I still give like on this video.
I have two german helmets and a Russian helmet recovered from a professional dig from the eastern front. Two of the German helmets came from the same grave as seen in my photos. I probably couldn't display those at a militaria show
Putting aside the dubious morality of celebrating the death of an individual soldier, there is no way WHATSOEVER to validate that any of these specimens were "battle damaged" - any of the damage to the helmets could have been inflicted long after the war. Anyone paying a premium for a "battle damaged" helmet is insane.
Bro this guy is selling iron bldy armour used for small arms fire to a middle eastern guy witth deep knowledge on weapons and armor techniques. For cheap too " 1000 to 500 pounds. !!! What?!?!
Where is the fucking Blood Stain in the liner of that Pristine Battle Damage helmet? Brains and blood would have been scattered all about in the liner.
No blood in the liner? Looks like somebody shot the helmet without a head in it.

Jim King my great grandmother used one as a colander for many years. Sadly my mother throw it away after her death. But i can still rember it.
I painted my hardhat from work green shot a hole through it and sold it on Ebay for a $1000

He would’ve got it before he arrived at the beach

I agree. I collect battle damaged German helmet and won't let friends try them on I think it's disrespectful. They are a of history.
Hey Lenny it's Jay, gimme a call
Fuck them all nazis
@@donalm7874 I am sure the dead will not mind. Your living friends merely want to connect with history and mean no disrespect.
