Unfortunately wheein is a little overshadowed in mamamoo like everyone love solar for vocals and energy and hwasa for her fighting against standards and moonbyul for her tomboyish style and no one notices my baby wheein
She is an underrated mamamoo member in general and man ppl are so blind. Everyone are always talking about other members, but like remember Wheein, who protested against climate changes in hip mv? Wheein, who portrayed same-sex relationship in her mv? Wheein, who signs in sign language? Like I love her so much, and she is not any less of a fighter than other girls.

@@faervas1234 I mean you are correct. According to RBW's CEO; they wanted to send Wheein out for live stages for Easy and Goodbye; but Wheein herself doesn't want to do them. I think shyness, and problems with her self-confidence are both reasons for this.

@@TwsWithSai247 Wheein has a jazz/R&B voice. Solar has a Pop voice. Wheein is more stable and fuller in the low range. Solar's lower range is thinner in tone. Solar has the best belt and volume, While Wheein doesn't have the dynamics of Solar. When Wheein does solos she has to control her Volume so when she has to sing louder at the climax it has the impact that is needed. If you also notice when Mamamoo does 2 part harmony it's always Wheein and someone else.
@@taejenlix solar has a powerful voice suited for belting, but wheein has better control and better technique overall. Honestly though they are both power vocals and it depends mostly on preference (wheein is my bias though ☺️)
Moonbyul herself said she doesn't feel comfortable with sexy dances, the same way she doesn't feel comfortable to show a lot of skin. I still agree with you, that limit's her.
@@Melissarouge Common misconception, watch Gleam and you'll see in the chorus. Its not that she lacks control, rather she is in favour of sharper moves more than smooth ones. Which was a massive mistake on the queendom stage since it did not mesh well with the rest of the girls. That does not mean she lacks hip and waist control.
Can we talk about how well rounded moonbyul is? Originally trained as vocalist, but the favourite female rapper of a lot of people and she's a good dancer.
She’s the real ace of mamamoo, can sing, dance, rap, writes and produces songs, is the most credited 3rd gen female kpop idol under KOMCA,can do adlibs and owns the stage, the true ace imo, and that’s what the meaning of ace is too
I think jisoo should be 1 place higher than Lia, even tho they have the same score but I think that because Lia lacks a lot more than jisoo, shes also more stiff. since how you like that she also improved a lot and I think now shes higher than 5/10 my opinion:)
@@zookey7701 yesss, and I actually think she is (technique wise) better than Solar, she can easily reach high notes without straining at all, and while yes, her voice might be "airy" I think it is more of a stilistic choice than a "flaw" (and you can see how she can have a fuller or rounder sound in some tracks but chooses not to) So yeah, stop underestimating Wheein everybody
Wheein is SO underrated. Like, she’s the best vocalist (she has the best technique) in the group AND she’s the best dancer also. I don’t understand why people still sleeping on her and her talent. Start to recognise Wheein’s greatness.
@@wheecado7826 Yeah, she seems to prefer it that way... It's really apparent how she doesn't try to stand out at all when in group performance. But when it's her own dance cover, her whole being just shines...
tbh Wheein had great energy when MMM first debuted. She was excited to perform and did a lot of adlibs and fun improvs in the first few years. But her confidence has died down a lot in recent years despite a significant growth in her singing and dancing skills. It has a lot to do with knetz who kept bashing her and twisting her words against her (fucking thanks yall no good sons of bitches). While the other members are more bold and often call out haters, Wheein tends to just swallow her emotions. As a result, she is struggling a lot with her mental health and even had to take a few breaks from performing. Despite being a gifted singer and dancer, Wheein has been working hard and improving her skills all these years and this video is solid proof of her talents and hard work. But she keeps putting herself at the back. That's why a lot of non-moomoos tend to overlook her when they were first introduced to MMM. All the other members, moomoos and even RBW ceo and staff love Wheein and acknowledge her as the "backbone of Mamamoo". I just hope one day Wheein will finally see how talented and beautiful she is.

Yeah, I think that’s why her facial expressions go hot and cold now often when she performs compared to Hwasa who nails stage presence naturally all the time despite she’s not born to be a dancer. Wheein also reminds me of Chaeryeong if Itzy and Mina of Twice because of how they’re main dancers yet their facial expressions are the reason why fans and netizens find them too boring to entertain because energy is often something they focus on when it comes to dancing.

This is what I've been saying for a while lol. Wheein is not just the best singer technically, but also the best dancer among the group. Stan vocal and dancing queen Wheein!
I'm actually not surprised by this, maybe I would not have expected Hwasa to rank last since she's such an amazing performer but you're viewing this more from a technical and professional angle while for us we're so overwhelmed by Hwasa's charisma and the energy she brings to the performance that we would not notice these details, so it makes sense. Moonbyul stated before that she hates sexy types of dances and hip moves so I guess that contributes to why she lacks in that area, you can't excel in something if your heart isn't in it or if you're forcing yourself to do it. As for Wheein most moos agree that she's the best dancer in MMM on top of being one of the best vocalists in the industry and yet most people from outside the fandom tend to overlook her for some reason.
Wheein in my opinion is the best all around idol, who’s musical style is as far away from being an idol as possible. She can dance, she has the presence, she has the singing, but imo if you gave Wheein a choice to be an idol or an indie artists, she’d be more lowkey, because that’s her vibe.
Fun Fact: A famous choreographer/dancer named Mina Myoung mentioned Mamamoo as one of her favorite artists to work with and praised Wheein for her dancing skills.
I feel like Wheein is overshadowed by the other members in my opinion she had best vocals and is the best dancer. But everyones else looks at the other member and seem to forge about her. So sad, even though she was the one that caught my eye when I first say Mamamoo.

Moonbyul and Wheein are always at the back despite being the performance line but i think it's because Solar and Hwasa are always on point with their facial expressions and energy which Moonbyul and Wheein sometimes lacks (mostly Wheein).
That's because Hwasa will get your attention with her charisma and sexiness, Solar will get your attention because she's very pretty, and Moonbyul can also get attention because of her tomboyish style but Wheein has nothing in particular (she's very cute tho) that's why people tend to overlook her talent
I was preparing myself for Moonbyul to be ranked number one since most non-moomoos believe she's the best dancer in the group. AND THEN MY BABY WHEEIN WAS NUMBER ONE. Tears, I tell you, TEARS. She deserves so much more recognition than she gets, it bothers me constantly.

Wheen is my bias and I actually think she is so well rounded, she is probably the one with the best vocal technique (even if the three girls of the vocal line are three A+ vocalists of the same level) and the best dancer. She is really amazing. I think she has to solve one problem I noticed too, her facials sometimes are very good until she's the center and then they disappear, sometimes are lacking throughout... But I personally think that when you find a performance where she really focus on this aspect too she is really entertaining to watch to
Holy sh*t, I never knew mamamoo were that stable in dancing! And I’ve been convinced that they’re a vocal focused group. Who’s to say they can’t do all? They’re literally brimming with talents, each and every one of mamamoo members. Seriously, for hwasa to be in the ok tier shows that the group is great in dancing too, probably better (as a whole) than some other groups. Edit: their vocals are honestly god-tiers already and now they’re almost in league with other good dancers? Mamamoo for the win, they’re the real queens.
For me, Wheein really shined as a dancer in gogobebe era😍☺ (esp in the clip with 1million' Mina) Since then I'm sooo attracted to her not only for INCREDIBLE voice, amazing personality, but also amazing dance skills as well (before that I thought they're all just good dancers, with slightly different vibe) So I FULLY agree with your ranking list now!!! I agree with the bland facial expressions sometimes for Wheein, but during their concerts, her facial expressions are amazing, especially during her solo stages. Thank you for this video, I think it def helps to make people see how great of a dancer Wheein is

i think wheein deserves god tier for her dancing - her more reserved facial expressions and stage performances only started after her announcement of taking some time off because anxiety i think it’s pretty safe to say her anxiety is a big cause in the shift of her liveliness during performances because she used to be extremely energetic and outgoing during performances and shows or just in general but she’s mellowed because of haters and insensitive comments which is so unfortunate - there’s a clear difference in her between older albums and more recent ones i just hope she’s happy and feeling better - i really think she deserves the world

For Wheein to rank this high coming from a vocal driven group(dance skills not really tapped into until gogobebe/hip), is insane on its own. She has downplayed her facials and stage presence to give her best in singing, to live up to the backbone role (from debut she has led the main chorus while Hwasa and Solar did Adlibs and belts). With her recent dance covers, it seems she is working on refining her skills and improving stamina. This will definitely help her stage presence and expressions to become more prominent.
I don’t actually think wheein has very bland facials, there are many examples such as the MAMA awards 2019 where her facials excel. Please take a look at that !

R Claire her facials are seriously so good you’re just not looking hard enough haha it’s difficult shining in terms of stage presence next to hwasa but it is there... In any other group she’d be considered god tier stage presence but next to hwasa it looks diminished
Im a huge moomoo and I agree but also think moonbyul deserved a little more credit. Even though shes not as comfortable in sexy more class girl group dances which limits her. I think shes really talented in what she does well and I like that she focused on that to show her different ability. Also she deserves a little more credit bc while shes not as comfortable in those styles and not as good shes coreographed a good few mamamoo songs, especially near there debut, and i think her coreographing skills even at debut makes her deserve more recognition. Over all though agree Wheein is SO TALENTED AND WE NEED TO STOP SLEEPING ON HER. That girl can sing and she can dance and if you didnt know she can rap. Just like the rest of mamamoo all can do. I think Wheein's contained expressions has something to do with her mental health. In the earlier years of Mamamoo, she seemed way happier when performing on stage. She also had better expressions in her predebut dance videos. Now that she's taken a break, I hope she feels happier and more expressive when performing on stage like before. Ugh WHEEIN!!! (I'm glad she's doing more dance covers to show the people!) we've been trying to highlight this as fans but always get talked down - "Mamamoo can't dance" or "Mamamoo are a vocal group and that's their only specialty" etc etc these arguments are so pre-2018 but we still hear about it to this day on some forums. FINALLY someone agrees with me. Whenever I say I think Wheein is a better dancer than Moonbyul, people go wild. But I really love to see her dancing. Moonbyul is a goddess, but I totally agree with you. She lacks versatility and she often rushes the choreography. Originally, I really used to think that Wheein was the main dancer and Moonbyul was the lead dancer. It surprises me when people say that they didn't know Wheein was a good dancer because she's so eye catching when she dances -in my opinion- so I've always assumed everyone saw it. LOL Anyway, people seem to often assume that a dancer whose technique is power-centered is a better dancer than a fluid dancer. And it might be true in some cases (because power-centered dancers often have good dynamics, which is also important), but it takes a lot of talent and body control to be fluid too and Wheein just connects everything so well every single time. I wouldn't consider Wheein a fluid dancer tho, I think thet her "fluid feel" comes from her swag. But she's very versatile. I appreciate that too. Anyway, great ranking and great explanations ^^ I just subscribed (not being biased here, my bias is none of them even though I love both)

I think Wheein should be god tier if the only thing holding her back is her stage performances. She can perform amazing, but she has anxiety and has on multiple occasions not gone on stage because of her mental health. That's why she's really inconsistent when it comes to stage performances with MMM and doesn't promote her solo songs. But the talent and dance skills are there.

tbh Wheein had great energy when MMM first debuted. She was excited to perform and did a lot of adlibs and fun improvs in the first few years. But her confidence has died down a lot in recent years despite a significant growth in her singing and dancing skills. It has a lot to do with knetz who kept bashing her and twisting her words against her (fucking thanks yall no good sons of bitches). While the other members are more bold and often call out haters, Wheein tends to just swallow her emotions. As a result, she is struggling a lot with her mental health and even had to take a few breaks from performing.
Despite being a gifted singer and dancer, Wheein has been working hard and improving her skills all these years and this video is solid proof of her talents and hard work. But she keeps putting herself at the back. That's why a lot of non-moomoos tend to overlook her when they were first introduced to MMM.
All the other members, moomoos and even RBW ceo and staff love Wheein and acknowledge her as the "backbone of Mamamoo". I just hope one day Wheein will finally see how talented and beautiful she is.

Yeah, I think that’s why her facial expressions go hot and cold now often when she performs compared to Hwasa who nails stage presence naturally all the time despite she’s not born to be a dancer. Wheein also reminds me of Chaeryeong if Itzy and Mina of Twice because of how they’re main dancers yet their facial expressions are the reason why fans and netizens find them too boring to entertain because energy is often something they focus on when it comes to dancing.

I'm actually not surprised by this, maybe I would not have expected Hwasa to rank last since she's such an amazing performer but you're viewing this more from a technical and professional angle while for us we're so overwhelmed by Hwasa's charisma and the energy she brings to the performance that we would not notice these details, so it makes sense.
Moonbyul stated before that she hates sexy types of dances and hip moves so I guess that contributes to why she lacks in that area, you can't excel in something if your heart isn't in it or if you're forcing yourself to do it.
As for Wheein most moos agree that she's the best dancer in MMM on top of being one of the best vocalists in the industry and yet most people from outside the fandom tend to overlook her for some reason.
Wheein in my opinion is the best all around idol, who’s musical style is as far away from being an idol as possible. She can dance, she has the presence, she has the singing, but imo if you gave Wheein a choice to be an idol or an indie artists, she’d be more lowkey, because that’s her vibe.

Wheen is my bias and I actually think she is so well rounded, she is probably the one with the best vocal technique (even if the three girls of the vocal line are three A+ vocalists of the same level) and the best dancer. She is really amazing. I think she has to solve one problem I noticed too, her facials sometimes are very good until she's the center and then they disappear, sometimes are lacking throughout... But I personally think that when you find a performance where she really focus on this aspect too she is really entertaining to watch to

For Wheein to rank this high coming from a vocal driven group(dance skills not really tapped into until gogobebe/hip), is insane on its own. She has downplayed her facials and stage presence to give her best in singing, to live up to the backbone role (from debut she has led the main chorus while Hwasa and Solar did Adlibs and belts). With her recent dance covers, it seems she is working on refining her skills and improving stamina. This will definitely help her stage presence and expressions to become more prominent.

Im a huge moomoo and I agree but also think moonbyul deserved a little more credit. Even though shes not as comfortable in sexy more class girl group dances which limits her. I think shes really talented in what she does well and I like that she focused on that to show her different ability. Also she deserves a little more credit bc while shes not as comfortable in those styles and not as good shes coreographed a good few mamamoo songs, especially near there debut, and i think her coreographing skills even at debut makes her deserve more recognition. FINALLY someone agrees with me. Whenever I say I think Wheein is a better dancer than Moonbyul, people go wild. But I really love to see her dancing. Moonbyul is a goddess, but I totally agree with you. She lacks versatility and she often rushes the choreography. Originally, I really used to think that Wheein was the main dancer and Moonbyul was the lead dancer. It surprises me when people say that they didn't know Wheein was a good dancer because she's so eye catching when she dances -in my opinion- so I've always assumed everyone saw it. LOL
Anyway, people seem to often assume that a dancer whose technique is power-centered is a better dancer than a fluid dancer. And it might be true in some cases (because power-centered dancers often have good dynamics, which is also important), but it takes a lot of talent and body control to be fluid too and Wheein just connects everything so well every single time. I wouldn't consider Wheein a fluid dancer tho, I think thet her "fluid feel" comes from her swag. But she's very versatile. I appreciate that too. I think Wheein should be god tier if the only thing holding her back is her stage performances. She can perform amazing, but she has anxiety and has on multiple occasions not gone on stage because of her mental health. That's why she's really inconsistent when it comes to stage performances with MMM and doesn't promote her solo songs. But the talent and dance skills are there.
