I'm near Dallas (8a/8b) and have bought ~50 varieties of blackberries and raspberries; a lot of the Raspberries have died off over the summer, but Caroline has held on strong! I did have to put a shade cloth over it for June/July/August, but a lot of other rasps died off even under the shade cloth. I think I'm going to give up on the yellow ones, they were just covered in bugs and not worth it. I will give them one more season though before I toss them. I also have all of my raspberries (except Jewel Black) in containers, because I'm scared to death of them spreading through my entire yard like wildfire!

Great video! I just put in two Boyne variety raspberry plants this spring. They do not require trellising yet. I have one older raspberry plant that was a cutting from my Father in Law, and do not know the variety. That I made a very simple trellis out of pallet boards made into stakes and string. It's doing the job for now, but once I finalize the plan for how I want the whole raspberry patch to look and its location I will be putting in a more permanent trellis system.
