i cant even understand half the stuff he's talking about but i respect his understanding of it and appreciate the music
Awesome! Hope Dave does Cleaving Giants of Ice! The solo in that song is phenomenal.
Dave is rapidly becoming the Chuck Norris of the fretboard. \m/
5thgendj He's already there man lol.
He was there since 2008!
Dave's guitar tone here is just superlative 👌
One of the better metalbands out there.. keep it up my man :)
Dave id a god! Not just technique but groovy riffs too
Dave is so fucking Metal even his *Voice* is gated
Dave is a good bloke.
I started watching these because I find the way he interjects using the guitar completely hilarious. Probably accented by the fact that I have no damn clue what he's talking about.
"I start here on this F- JRRN with the F# JRUNNNN basically suggesting a major triad here CHRN CHRNN CHRN CHRN adds some texture KRRRNG keep the listener engaged."
I love when players do that 😂
best one of those vids so far yet even though they're all excellent (god is dave).
Guitar World can you guys just get dave to do all of his songs like that? I'd watch all day. There's interesting stuff in all his songs so there wouldn't be a shortage of themes to explore.
Joder, impresionante el sonido de su guitarra, también impresionante cuando ves lo que cuesta, pero ojalá algún día...
One of the sickest songs on the record
Really feels like a theatre of horror. It's just sick how the title fits all riffs..
I Love How Urgently He Speaks @3:10
woow! Superb Superb, Mr.David,
Crumbling imperium next!
Trem picking so clean
Does he give guitar lessons online? ♥
gotta respect that VOIVOD tshirt
Fucking awesome, man! :D
Megadeth is the only band Ik that sounds so jazzy and thrash metal at the same time. They have always been funky and groovy
wow
Thrash Course? That first riff would be Death Course or something like Black Metal
maxi molina I think it's supposed to be a play on the words crash course more than the genre it belongs in
The band used to lean more towards thrash metal a couple of albums back, but they're closer to death metal these days. They mix things up a lot though.
hi, David, frm NEPAL,
What's up with your first name? Julian? Really? Isn't is supposed to be something like Phatteman, Gehendra, Shaibyaa or even Raj?
Mert Okatan profiling a bit aren't we?
Soul of Cinder Jep
The tone is so gud 💦
Discussing or disguising?
woochyna did you watch the video?
He's talking about how the tempo in the beginning riff comes in on the upbeat of 4 instead of starting on 1
Dave isn't god, God is Dave.
Esa polera de voivod ☆
i wrote completely different song recently but technically almost matched with mixed scales and predominately trem picked i used a lot of variation in my tremming itself too.... point is everytime i think ive acheived that one of a kind thing that i aint heard anyone else do i find videos like this !!!! hes an awesome musician though.... im not sure if im giving kudos or whining though hehehe i guess my emotions are mixed and syncopated as well
So much triplet.
