Dave is the modern Chuck Shuldiner, no doubt about it. Seen them live a few times, and every time is a treat. Dave's good people, and is definitely one of the GOAT frontmen, guitarists and metal vocalists out there.
I was just about to comment that I get major chuck schuldiner vibes from Dave. Probably a direct influence on revocation lol schuldiner were to live and evolve this is prob how he’d sound.

He's one of The best metal musicians in metal music of this Century and this generation. His skills, his vocals, his presence as a frontman, and is also very creative. He is one of those musicians who really inspires people.

@@Goose21 right? but it's so fucking good, probably one of my fav songs on the record. The "eyes rolling backwards speaking in tounges" part in combination with the dissonant, frenzy riff is just so atmospherical coherent 😩

This is a man who has put in hard work to make his way towards perfection. Every man should look up to men like Dave Davidson and strive to be as good in at least one field in their respective lives.
Dave's technique is so natural that up and down picking jumping from 7 to 5 string fluently seems easy as breathing. What a master 🔥🔥

Dave vibrato, legato and riffs are on another level.
The time in the video is accelerated, no doubt about that. Was on the live show, and it was the same thing, I could tell that the clock was running way faster when he played. These people selling their soul to the devil for guitar chops... I'm loosing my faith in humanity here!

Seen them live @Expo 5 in Louisville some time ago, was the first time I'd ever seen or heard them , I was completely impressed as this was something fresh and new for me, I needed to hear that at the time and the fact they were a Power trio made it that much more impressive !!!

Don't know exactly, but one of his jackson signature's comes with .009-.054 gauges.

I really wish he would go back to 6 strings on a more normal tuning... his style sounds so much better and more clear in that range. I feel the 7 string does absolutely nothing to improve their sound in any way, it just makes everything sound kind of muddy and shitty. The notes are way less distinct... I understand why guys who can't really play gravitate towards more strings and lower tunings, but I've never understood guys like this or Jeff Loomis using a 7... "extended range" guitars are just for guys who can only do chugs and want to "sound uber br00tal".
