Whenever I hear about Haile Fida I always feel so guilty how we’re not unlucky people to miss such a brilliant mind person.

Book Review: I heartily admire Dr Daghechew's approach to the subject. I sensed originality in style, the modality of the critic, the articulation of the apotheosis of the whole subject matter. For me Haile Fida was an Ethiopian intellectual who tried to tango with under educated brute. It was a wrong move and his death was untimely. Men like Meles and Mengistu , megalomaniacs, toxic narcissists and with no capacity to love any one can not learn. These are sick people married to their ambition with no love of country and people. They are good at one thing: demagoguery, manipulation of others just to meet their power ambition.

What was perplexing was that Berhanemeskel later supported Hailes’ stand to cooperate with the Derg and also after censing Derg’s brutality, Haile regretted for not taking other options, tacitly tending towards Berhanemeskel’s former stand.
All was a failed experiment from the on set. Big sorry for those who perished trying to attain the unattainable. SAD!!
It was a pleasure listening to Dr. Dagnachew, thank you. It was also very sad that many, many intellectuals like you were consumed by Mengistu and his followers. Nowadays, I hear a lot of people, some of them who were not even born at the time, some were born but were totally irrelevant and never flirted with critical thinking, preach that Mengistu was a nationalist and blamed Haile Fida and his likes for teaching him the wrong things, without even having a clear understanding of nationalism. Mengistu was never a nationalist not a revolutionary. He never learned anything and will never learn. His only concern was securing his daily consumption of meat and liquor accompanied by limitless power. Mentioning this ignorant butcher in that revolution and struggle, not only is an insult to those irreplaceable intellectuals, but also makes those of us who were around at the time, sick to our stomach.
Freedom Seeker menge was/is patriotic to this day unlike the so called ya tiwlid who were used by foreigners enemies to destabilise n murder thousands of Ethiopians till date.

Are you researching this or you just talk and reading fictions. Haile feda is not the person who judge other like you says. Haile Feda in terms of his capacity not like what you thought. He has one bachelor degree in geology and went for his master's and back to Ethiopia with his party Meison. When Haile Feda was with Meison Dr negede gobeze and Mesfin Kasu his leaders....you are taking shit. I AM IMPRESSED WE HAVE THOSE SORT OF DOCTORS(PHD)...
