Love this guy.. never leaves you guessing...
Jim Krumm is the best.
knowledgeable guy. Real educational video.
Thanks.
This guy is a beast. Thanks for the video!
You bet!
Great video. Wish I hired these guys when I lurched my home with a well. LOL
Thank you for the feedback and compliment.
Do you use a megger to check the condition of the insulation and wiring of the submersible pump? This test will catch marginal pump motor insulation, and also leakage to ground through the waterproof connectors that are under water in the well casing. When we are buying a new home, and I specified that both the submersible pump and the pressure pump be checked with a megohmmeter, and the readings recorded. We are required to have 5000 gallons of storage for fire protection . We use a 4” buried line, that runs to the front of the drive way, with a warf Hydrant, so the fire department can draw from our tank, if the Pumper truck runs out fo water.
Good point, Rod.
Good video. I would add that if you change your pressure switch settings, the internal pressure in the tank should be adjusted also. Internal air should be two pounds less than the lower pressure switch setting.
Good tip!
We are looking at a possible home purchase it has a private well and we were wondering how much to expect a well pump inspection should cost like possible ball park estimate? Just trying to figure if it should be a no go and pass on the house.
