INTEL PLAY QX3 Microscope - 10x - 60x - 200x

Instruction for installing the QX3 Microscope with Vista
Note, DO NOT use the software from the CD that came with the microscope.
DO NOT plug in the QX3 microscope until Step 4.
Step 1. Install the QX3+:

Step 2. Download and install the QCODINSTL Codecs software from:
www.dropbox.co...
Step 3. Download and extract the QX3 Drivers from:
hyperslug.s3.am...
Step 4. Now, plug in the microscope.
When the "Found New Hardware" wizard appears, select "Locate and install driver software (Recommended)", a message "Installing device driver software" will appear. If you click on "details", you will notice see "Searching Windows Update", after a while you will be able to select "I don't have a disc. Show me other options" and browse to the folder with the extracted QX3 drivers from Step 3. above. The hardware should install successfully.
Double-click on the QX3+ icon on the desktop and the program should run.

So I've downloaded everything, and now in the final step I'm trying to install the extracted drivers... then pulled out the 3 files (stvqx3.cab, stvqx3.cat, stvqx3.inf). now Windows can find a driver in that folder? any advice? Thanks again for uploading a copy of the software after Intel pulled it down!

thanks for the software! can you help me with a problem? I unrar re file and in the final step, when it asks me to select a file i choose IntelQX3driverXP, but it doesnt find any drivers. I tried with right click->install, but all i get is an error message saying "this file cant be installed this way" or something like that, and i dont know what to do. what do you think? (by the way, english isnt my natvie language)

Hi, I cannot find the qx3plus.exe and the qco download link on intels website anymore. Do you have any hint for me?

Do you have 32 or 64 bit Windows? I tried it with 32 bit only.

When I right click on the INF file and then press 'install', Windows pops up a message saying the INF file you selected does not support this method of installation. Ideas?

Hi Artem. I get to step 3, click to extract the driver, then am given the option of where to extract it. Every file I choose, I get a message saying there is not enough storage space for the file. Any ideas?

use 7zip www.7-zip.org to extract files
