Well I didn’t think I’d be up for watching a video on fitting a diesel heater ! But you two make everything interesting and amusing. Well done! No wonder you are “ over the moon”. Enjoy! Jo in France 🇫🇷
Hi and thank you, so glad you enjoyed it, we found it fascinating, but we did realise it’s not for everyone, but, we do it in our own style 🤣🤣 Take care, hope the traffic isn’t too bad where you are with the farmers
Thanks for another great video guys. I have booked my van in after watching your vlog. Got to say they are very helpful and I used your code! Thanks so much and looking forward to a snug campervan next week! Thanks again for your vlogs and look forward to the next one as usual. Have a great week. Colin and Debbie xx
Hi, I would like to say how much I liked your vlog on your diesel heater fitting. I had been thinking of doing the same, so after seeing how yours turned out I have booked my Mileo 282 in at a firm in Preston, I live in Southport on the 11th of March. Can't wait. Love all your vids.
I have had the same Chinese heater fitted in my van for over 2 years and with hand on hart it's never missed a beat. Never had any problems. It cost £88 .I have never maintained it.. Brilliant value for the money. If it stopped working I would buy another. The tic tic tic from the pump can be silenced with a little effort. Yaw cor wac it. 👍 ps.. a little amount of olive oil on some kitchen paper towel will bring up your stainless steel microwave door like new. xXx
Surprised to see the exhaust not coming out of side of van when I fitted mine i was told cant go underneath van because of gas drop out vents sure they know what there doing 😊
We have every faith in the installation, they are a professional company who know what they are doing, they explained everything and said it’s safe where they have placed it, they wouldn’t put it where they have if it posed a risk to anyone
Guys, the El- Cheapo Chinese Heaters are absolutely fantastic value for money. I’ve had ours almost 7 years without any issues and it’s in regular use. It was also put into the blown air system and heat comes through all the vents. There’s many people using them with good results if fitted correctly. PS you didn’t show where it fitted the inline filter.
Chinese heaters are as good as any Eastern European built heater and a quarter of the price! Buy cheap buy twice is not the case with these sorry, I’ve done my research and the odd issues are with poorly fitted ones and like many items the odd faulty one.
Wow Rob having a flush 😂😂😂, it’s so nice to see you both happy again after your little setback with the Alde heating system, I’ve just shared this blog with a friend who is thinking of getting a diesel heater for his panel van, take care and have a great day, hope Rob has spoiled you Lynn for Valentine’s Day 💐💐
Hi the heaters are very good indeed the heat they throw off is amazing we highly recommend recommend them 👍 as for Valentine’s day I’ve never heard of it 😂😂😂
Hello Hope you are both well? Two questions?!! Any advance notice on next years meet? ( want to book my leave to ensure I’m there again!) Secondly.. booked for heater fitting in October, what sim did you use? Quick google seems most want some type of plan? Keep safe
Gosh guys it’s like you are reading my thoughts. We were literally looking these autoterm heaters up this weekend and going to get booked. So glad this vlog came on /)
Hi guys, Over the last 50 or so years and many M/H of all classes, i never had or would never have a wet heating system one leak and the nightmare begins. Personally i would have the system drained down and remove the risk of it happening again. Really enjoy your vids the chat and good humour is a treat to share so thanks from me
Hi John and thank you for your comment, you are right as we found out, but we’ve had it sorted, and now we have our fantastic new diesel heater we are happy that we will be toasty for many winters to come. So glad you are enjoying our videos Take care ☺️☺️
Hi Rob. Does the diesel feed come from the vehicle fuel tank or separate one? Can you have it running while you're driving? and does the heat come out of all the internal van vents or only one vent?
Hi yes we have had it fitted so it draws straight from the tank 👍 it’s not advertised to run them when driving as the air intake could pull water in wet it’s raining 👍 the warm air comes from one large vent
Aww Congratulations to you both on your new heater. I have seen so many of them with them in, I’m sure you will love it.. It is good you were so happy with the service you received.. Take care, Happy Valentines yo you both, I hope Rob spoils you Lynn 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 I have everything crossed 🤞🏻 ❌❌💜💜💜❤️❤️❤️
Hi Vicki, and thank you, we are both so happy, we are looking forward to keeping lovely and warm over the coming winters, Happy Valentine’s Day to you too xx
Hi both great video enjoyed that again, as we only tend to stay on sites we wouldn't get one but with the camp site prices who knows! Wild camping might just be getting busier. On our new van the shower tap has been the only fault they had to change the whole tap unit (glad it was warranty work) so hope you get it fixed asap as our's used to drip all night and keep me awake. See you on the next one take care looking forward to seeing your nec video as we're not going again this year xx
Hi, it was because of how expensive sites are getting we chose to do rallies which are so much cheaper, and by fitting the heater means we can be toasty even on the coldest of days Yes ours is sadly out of warranty now so we are hoping to repair it Fingers crossed we can go to the NEC it’s all work depending at the moment
I mentioned on your last Video that I had recently bought a 20 year old German Built Sprinter van..... (In December) the TRUMA gas fired water and central heating works brilliantly..... Such a shame you felt you had lost confidence in the ALDE system..... Not that I blame you: 3.5 years.... Corrosion? Are they real? But that system you have installed is beloved of truck drivers across Europe...... The Eberspracher system..... Works without fail. What more can you want? I was on a beach with my van the other day..... and when the sun went down...the temperature fell like a stone. (Summer here in South America) I put the TRUMA System on.... within minutes ...warm as toast. 20 year old system..... just cannot fault it. (And the van spent most of its life in Germany..so it has had its share of European Winters) Keep the Videos coming...... you warm the cockles of my heart with your attitude and respect for people. Thank you. Looking forward........
Hi and thank you again for your comment we really appreciate it, we haven’t completely lost faith in the Alde system but, we had thought about it before as Alde takes so warm to heat up, and the diesel heater is toasty in around 15 minutes. So I think what happened just made up our minds to go ahead with it, Sounds like you’ve got a great system Take care ☺️☺️
Great video, on the back of it I booked mine in for next Wednesday, my vehicle is similar to yours, an Autosleeper Corinium..I wonder if you could help with a couple of questions. Did you consider fitting a diesel filter for the heater? I was thinking of fitting mine under the drivers seat..with a directional air vent, given the boxer layout would you consider this plausible? Ray
Hi Ray , that’s fantastic that your having one fitted I’m sure you will be very pleased with it 👍 regarding the filter, I personally don’t see the need for one , but if that’s what you want to do why not 👍
@@RobandLynnontour I see a few negative comments re: the Chinese ones are just as good but I like quality and reliability Autoterm seem to provide that reassurance.
www.autoterm.store They are more expensive than the Chinese ones, but in our opinion you get what you pay for, and this a great company, After all when you are fitting something to your motorhome you want to know it’s safe and had been fitted correctly
We had our Eberspacher fitted under the floor of out T5 18 months ago and it’s been brilliant absolutely silent and keeps us toasty warm, fuel usage is negligible, approx 5hrs per litre on low ! And that keeps the temp about 21*c we set it to 16*c at night and leave it to do its own thing and that’s just nice and warm. It really is worth paying a premium for a quality heater as they are so quiet and power consumption is so low with the brushless motor. You’ll not regret it 👍🏻🇬🇧
Hi rob and Lynn a great video and Rob a great job supervising lol 🤣🤣 what a neat unit and a great install as well they have made a tidy job and I don’t blame you having a diesel heater as a back up to the alde it gives you another option and especially off grid as well do they use a lot of diesel? What a great idea to have it come on to make it warm to come into - just the job if you have been walking or been out in the cold or wet So pleased you are both happy all the best to you both Daniel
Hi Daniel thanks for watching 👍 we are absolutely over the moon with the heater 👍as you say it’s a great backup but we will probably use it on a regular basis 👍 it takes around one litre per 5 hours
We have a Truma 6DE in the motorhome and it’s immense. Also in the Vw t5 camper we have the Autoterm planar heater and it’s been fantastic too. Tbh have had Chinese heaters in 2 previous campers and fair play they were also faultless. If they are fitted properly they work fine. The pump on our Autoterm is silent so Happy Holidays 👌🏽❤️
Some are good but there are a lot of rubbish ones out there, we know of a lot of people who’ve had problems, Good luck with yours, glad you found a good one
I have the same model in my campervan, it has the modem thingy fitted but I havent got a sim in there yet. What sim do you use in yours? is it pay as you go? I guess it only has to receive txts right? I'm not sure what to get.
Hi Rob Lynn and Doggies , Hope you are all well , Great video and very interesting to see your heater fitted , looks a good one , so thanks for sharing , Take care all , 👍👍
Gone posh with that one. I would say the Chinese heaters should not be dismissed as ours works great and had one in the last van. You always have diesel so always good to have you wont look back. Love having the remote so can turn it on in bed in the morning as we don't sleep with the heating on. Designed in Russia made in Latvia parts from China lol.
We have haven’t we ☺️☺️ Some Chinese heaters are ok but we do know a lot of people that have had problems with theirs, We love that fact and also that we can turn it on wherever we are so the van is toasty when we get back ☺️☺️
Are the latvian heaters (like you have had fitted) much more expensive than the chinese ones? You can buy a 5kw chinese with a 5year warranty for £140 inc remote, and app on phone * no sim card though How much was yours and how long is the warranty Thanks 👍 3:07
Hi Rob & Lynn on Tour, Glad to see you both happy again in your love ❤️ machine/ bus / motorhome, did you get your shower 🚿 mended aswell ? With your leaky pipe ,was it just a washer problem or where they disconnected it doing your central heating boiler & didn't tighten it up enough? Hope all goes well for your bus / motorhome in the future, & don't have any other major problems, & just the thought of Rob in his boxers nearly made me fancy another pancake 😂lol ,you two are bloody 🌟 s & keep me laughing through the night 🌙 I wake up with fits of the giggles 😃 😂, we all love ❤️ you to bits & carnt wait for your next adventure, have a romantic Valentines 💝 you two love birds 🐦 🐦⬛ 😀 & couldnt be more happier for you both , now Don't ask me how my health is @ the Mo as its a sore subject @ the Mo as my lungs are not working to how they should be following on from my double dose of pneumonia, but I just carnt wait to get near the seaside again & breathe in some beautiful fresh air ,Roll on the spring / summer ☀️ ❤ ,love you both millions I have had sky fitted up into my bedroom now so I can watch all your vlogs on my big TV ,& that does help as I still haven't had my OP done yet on my eyes, but things will get there eventually 😀 keep smiling my best friends that's my motto, & see you very soon on RUclips, all our love Linda & Carly Dunn from Newport Shropshire UK xxx ❤😊
Hi lovelies just want to check with you Jamie has put in code but seems only on product (i.e modem) and not service of having heater in can you check that this is correct? Also do you know weight of the 4kq heater, thanks😊😊❤ Also did it come with a simcard? Or which did you use....😊😊
Hi Pauline, the best thing to do is call them direct, then you can explain everything you need and just tell them it’s through us to get the discount, also sorry I’m not of it but they will help, they are a great friendly company Regarding the SIM card, I had one, it’s just a pay as you go EE, as it needs to be able to send a txt message back to you, but honestly it’s best to call them
@@RobandLynnontour hi that's great to know will defo ringnso can get discounts sorted and will sort out a sim card as well.. can I also ask which campsite you stayed at whilst getting the heater sorted. 😁🙏
Brilliant video L&R Great idea and looks well fitted , but the best bit for a giggle was Rob finally getting a kiss 💋, awesome, brilliant information, stay safe, keep up to date on its progress and fuel use, we have a big Hymer that needs better heat, so you’ve given us something to look at, x❤️
They may look the same, but we’ve looked into it, and in our opinion they aren’t the same. The Autoterm ones are far superior in parts and manufacture.
Looks a lovely system and defo the upgrade, we have a Truma diesel hetaer in our Consort and it heats up a lot quicker than on electric, toasty warm within a few minutes, take care Trev Debz and Tyler x x
Hi and yes it’s a great system we are thrilled with it, And yes they heat up so much quicker, we are looking forward to being toasty over the rest of the winter, and to many more winters ahead Take care ☺️☺️
The heater you have had fitted looks the same as we had in the trucks over 30 years ago, the make was Eberspacher and it looks like they have not changed at all in looks or the way they work. The one thing to watch and be careful of is that they do run the battery down if on a long time, but if you have a solar panel and the sun is out you should be OK, but in winter when you use your heater maybe not a lot of sun. happy days 🚐🏖️🚌
Hi Mike we are over the moon with the heater it’s amazing 👍 we have a 200amp hour lithium battery so powering it shouldn’t be a problem fingers crossed 🤞
So pleased for you and quiet barely hear it! As you say good to come back to a warm Van! We're off to the NEC Saturday for our First Motorhome show there! :-)
Quick question. Did it make much difference to your insurance premium guys? Mind you, I wondered whether the lithium batteries made any difference to your insurance cover too. Both are mods we were considering too so thanks for the info. X
Hi well done we have the truma deisal heater and when it’s very cold we add the deisal with the number 1&2 electric fantastic and gets hot very quickly You will love it 🎉🎉🎉
Hiya, brilliant video and perfect timing for us. We were considering getting a Chinese diesel heater and you persuaded us otherwise 😂 You directed us to the autoterm store website. Please can you tell us if the prices quoted on there are for the product only or fitting included. Many thanks Gwen xx
Hi Gwen, happy with that ☺️ Honestly the best thing is to give them a call, they are really helpful, explain what you would like and they will guide you Hope that helps xx
Very good informative vlog I think you will be far better of now the amount of of time you use the van ,I must say lyn did look cold waiting .but you didn't say how much it cost❤
Good try Lynn, 🎉 you nearly got it, Robert you never surprise me, nick a kiss when you can 😂😂 bloody awesom couple, you never fail to make me laugh 😂💕 x
We set ours to cut in & out & we walk around in our underwear not a nice site 😂😂 until someone knocks the door & you have never seen to people move so fast 😂😂😂
Interesting vlog, I like seeing how things are done. Looks an impressive piece of kit, it'll be worth its weight in gold in the winter, I take it it draws diesel from the main tank?
Looks like a cracking job there - they come highly recommended the Autoterm ones so cracking choice - you should have said you had got a cheap one and no one would have parked next to you then 😀 haha joking aside some make a right racket don’t they! Great backup heat source All the best, David & Rachel 👍
Hi both hope you are well and enjoying the show, Autoterm really do come highly recommended that’s why we trusted them with our bus, Wow that would have been a great idea, 🤣🤣 they really do make a racket 🙈🙈 No just a great back up, it will be our main source of heating, Take care both ☺️☺️
How can you call a Chinese diesel eater rubbish I’ve had one in my shed for five years. No trouble at all works. Well I’ve got one in my T4 for three years works well no trouble so how can you say Chinese diesel eater is rubbish the two I’ve got worked really well, fromJohn in cranwell
You probably know this but when we hired a campervan last year which had Truma diesel heating, it had a safety device (sensor on the window) so that the heater would not work if the window above the exhaust vent was open. So you might not be able to open that side window (even on vent) if you want the heater to open. It’s to save you getting poisoned! They had told us the window couldn’t be open but I hadn’t realised it had to be in the lock setting.
Its not an issue as long as its not fitted directly under a drop out vent. Volkswagen fit them underneath in the factory and the exhaust does not run out from under the van. It’s perfectly safe. We have been installing them for 10 years now and no issues.
Hi rob and Lyn sounds like when the heater was refitted some Debi’s may have found its way into shower mixer try running it for a few minutes on full between hot and cold may clear it , if not then new internal unit required if you can get the part out and send me a picture we may have one in our shop , don’t knock the Chinese heaters they word great all down to the fitting as you are the man that can why did you not do it yourself ?? Andy
Hi and maybe, will give that a try, thank you, If not we will send you a photo We weren’t really it’s only banter, but we do know people that know how to fit them have problems, we did a lot of research and decided to go with a quality one made of well manufactured parts
Old bird 🤦🏼♀️ how bloody rude 😅 you old fart 😊happy to see you in the home, happy holidays 🎉 now you're going to be cosy warm 🥵 absolutely awesome, I can hear the humming but it's definitely no louder than my fan 😊 awesome vlog guys 🌹🥂❣️xx
Aww man Had a chinese diesel heater for years no probs some oeople can not afford a posh heater , have you ever owned a cheap diesel heater , maybe should not comment on hear say 😢
Hi and firstly thank you for your comment 👍 firstly we haven’t owned a Chinese heater but we have been parked next to them and they are a lot louder than we have just had fitted
It’s bloody brilliant to see you both happy and in love together. I guess you’re keeping the van now and not trading it in for a new one? What day are you thinking about going to the caravan and motorhome show 👍🏻😎
Wow that looks like excellent Value! Inc fitting! makes me wish i could afford a motorhome! But hey ill stick to sites and EHU or Rallies and the gas fire (Caravan ). But excellent Price if you have a Van as i hate been cold! Good Purchase!! 😍
Evening Guys, We are guessing this means you're keeping the bus now. Looks like a quality heater and the text set up brilliant 👏. We have blown air in our van and your new heater is no louder than that. Got to say it must be warm if Lynn has taken her coat off 😅. Was going to mention the muck on the locker but Lynn beat us too it 😅. Sorry to hear about the leaky tap 😢. Good luck going forward and take care. Paul and Joanne 👍 😊
Hi both like you said if Lynn has taken her coat off it must be good 😂😂 we are over the moon with the heater it’s made such a a difference 👍many thanks for your comment
The best thing is that you don't have to search for LPG - diesel is available everywhere. Your gas bottles will last considerably longer for your gas hobs.
You ate lucky to be able to afford that model , and both keep on about Cheap Chinese heaters . Never thought you were snobby , but hey ho Good luck with your up market heater 😁
We definitely aren’t snobby at all, we did a lot of research before having this fitted, and found this one to be much better made, with better quality materials Thank you, we are sure it’s going to make life easier and keep us toasty in the winters to come
hi rob and lynn, can you run your diesel heater while your driving too. we have a chausson 640, i think we can. we are new to motorhomes. this will be our first season. love the videos, HAPPY.
Hi, yes you can but not advisable if the roads are wet as the air intake will draw in water, some people do but it isn’t something we would do. Hope you enjoy it as much as we do Take care and happy holidays ☺️☺️
I've seen signs on caravan and motorhome windows saying do not open this window whist operating diesel heater. It has always puzzled me why anyone would have the window open when trying to heat their van. However, I guess the manufacturers must cover themselves. Stay warm.
Hi you two please have the exhaust from the heater exiting the side of the van not underneath it can build carbon monoxide under the van when stationary.Good vlog though you might start a riot from the chinese heater gang 😂
We have every faith in the company that installed it, we went through everything with them, they have fitted many and honestly they know what they are doing Hmmm maybe, but we’ve done lots of research before having one fitted, Chinese heaters are a lot noisier, but they are cheaper, we wanted a quiet one, each to their own eh ? ☺️☺️
Having done skipper charter for over 30 years and maintained and run diesel heaters it has concerned me the way many are fitting these cheaper Chinese heaters without any regulation over materials used and way they are fitted in relation to safety standards. Having seen several videos on these heaters the materials used really are sub standard especially the fuel lines. If there were safety regs brought in for diesel heaters in vans I do fear most self build ones would fail. You have been wise to get it professionally fitted and with quality made equipment I do hope many do the same. Not to be a party pooper one fact you do need to realise its not fit and forget and they just run forever a diesel heater will need regular maintenance. Dont run them on low all the time they need a good hard hot run to burn the coke away also you have to accept they are a bit noisy especially compared to the elec/gas Truma
Hi and thank you for your comment, we looked into all of them when we thought about getting one fitted, that’s why we chose Autoterm, they are such a professional company. They have told us to give it a good blow out every now and again, they are slightly noisier than Truma, but the Autoterm ones are so much quieter than the Chinese ones
We are thinking of getting one fitted as well. Very impressed with the guys fitting the system in. Can I ask did you have to tell your Motorhome insurance about your upgrade and was there any difference in insurance? . Great video 👍
Hi Alan, they are an amazing company, we really highly recommend them, and yes we have informed our insurance company, and no it hasn’t made a difference to the price, happy with that ☺️☺️
@@RobandLynnontour .. the main reason why they all seem to have problems is running them on rubbish fuel.. I've got 2 Hcalory ones and to be honest there's no difference between expensive ones or cheaper ones apart from the name .. Let's say you spent £800 on a named one thats 10 cheap ones 🤔.
@@RobandLynnontour .. Well at least you two will be toasty warm now.. Wet central heating in any moving vehicle ain't a good mix with the flex of the vehicle joints will part and leaks will happen ❤
Must admit these are great fitted a few much better than the other brands but those ones do a good job at a price point, we won’t buy anything else as we build vans,
Glad you took my advice on the diesel heater 😂😂😂 they are great. The Chinese heaters are great. Max speading rods ones are Bluetooth like many of the others. Upgrade to a quite pump for a few quid and they are perfect. My exhaust pipe is next to the van exhaust where you wanted to put yours Rob. I did it all myself and used a marine fuel tank so that i could put red diesel in it. It cost me with the upgraded tank ,pump and fuel line, stainless steel jubilee clips and extended exhaust pipe about £200.00 bought another heater that was on offer in January so we have a back up ans spare parts if needed. Been on RUclips and did my research. They are very reliable. Loved the vlog and you guy's. Frank and Jane ❤
I think your comments will upset some people who cannot afford the heater you have and have someone fit. Then refer to the cheaper alternative as crappy and not wanting to be their neighbour is a little discrmatory to those with a more restrictive budget? Always watched your videos and this one did make me a bit uncomfortable.
We wouldn’t ever upset anyone intentionally, we weren’t on about price, We researched heaters well before we entered into having one fitted, and we wanted one that was CE marked, and manufactured to a high standard As for parking next to one, we have when we in Europe and it was so loud it woke us, so that was another thing we took into consideration, to get one as quiet as possible so not to disturb people who parked next to us
Wow, how do you get through life, If we worried about other people's feelings all the time, we would all still live in mud huts, get a grip, its there opinion!!
Rob, can you let Lynn finish what she is trying to say before you KEEP interrupting her, let her finish first before you have to have your say. It is so rude to keep doing that to her.
Cheap, Cheap, Cheap think we get the drift that yours it better 😮
😂😂😂😂👍

Take care ☺️☺️
Unbelievable Chinese heater alday long. Never failed me.
Some do, we know of many that have failed, due to cheap parts and lack of quality of manufacture
Take care, Happy Valentines yo you both, I hope Rob spoils you Lynn 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 I have everything crossed 🤞🏻
❌❌💜💜💜❤️❤️❤️
Hi Vicki, and thank you, we are both so happy, we are looking forward to keeping lovely and warm over the coming winters,
Happy Valentine’s Day to you too xx
great modification to make the bus nice and warm sure Lynn will be well impressed.
Hi it’s a fantastic bit of kit we are so happy with it 👍Lynn is loving the warmth 😂👍
Hi, it was because of how expensive sites are getting we chose to do rallies which are so much cheaper, and by fitting the heater means we can be toasty even on the coldest of days
Yes ours is sadly out of warranty now so we are hoping to repair it
Fingers crossed we can go to the NEC it’s all work depending at the moment
I mentioned on your last Video that I had recently bought a 20 year old German Built Sprinter van..... (In December) the TRUMA gas fired water and central heating works brilliantly..... Such a shame you felt you had lost confidence in the ALDE system..... Not that I blame you: 3.5 years.... Corrosion?
Are they real?
But that system you have installed is beloved of truck drivers across Europe...... The Eberspracher system..... Works without fail.
What more can you want?
I was on a beach with my van the other day..... and when the sun went down...the temperature fell like a stone. (Summer here in South America)
I put the TRUMA System on.... within minutes ...warm as toast. 20 year old system..... just cannot fault it.
(And the van spent most of its life in Germany..so it has had its share of European Winters)
Keep the Videos coming...... you warm the cockles of my heart with your attitude and respect for people. Thank you. Looking forward........
Hi and thank you again for your comment we really appreciate it, we haven’t completely lost faith in the Alde system but, we had thought about it before as Alde takes so warm to heat up, and the diesel heater is toasty in around 15 minutes. So I think what happened just made up our minds to go ahead with it,
Sounds like you’ve got a great system
Take care ☺️☺️
@@rayleeson6135 we personally would go for quality rather than cheap 👍
Hi Lynn what is the name of this heater and are they available to self fir xx
It’s made by Autoterm here is the link and yes it is
www.autoterm.store
Another great video guys and something I’m now looking into, like you said good to have a second system to heat your home more so when your off grid
Thank you 👍 we are absolutely over the moon with it 👍perfect for off grid
We have a Chinese diesel heater it's great and not very noisey.Hubby said last week that you need a diesel heater fitted. We love ours.
Hi Jane it’s the best thing we have on the van absolutely fantastic 👍
Were did you have it fitted we would like to.get one in are motorhome. Are the expensive
www.autoterm.store
They are more expensive than the Chinese ones, but in our opinion you get what you pay for, and this a great company,
After all when you are fitting something to your motorhome you want to know it’s safe and had been fitted correctly
You’ll not regret it 👍🏻🇬🇧
Hi they are fantastic aren’t they we are so happy with it actually we are over the moon with it 👍
Hi rob and Lynn a great video and Rob a great job supervising lol 🤣🤣
what a neat unit and a great install as well they have made a tidy job and I don’t blame you having a diesel heater as a back up to the alde it gives you another option and especially off grid as well do they use a lot of diesel?
What a great idea to have it come on to make it warm to come into - just the job if you have been walking or been out in the cold or wet
So pleased you are both happy all the best to you both Daniel
Perfect 👍 they are fantastic aren’t they 👍
Nothing wrong with a cheap Chinese diesel heaters I've had the same one in our motorhome for two years with no problems what so ever
Some are good but there are a lot of rubbish ones out there, we know of a lot of people who’ve had problems,
Good luck with yours, glad you found a good one
I have the same model in my campervan, it has the modem thingy fitted but I havent got a sim in there yet. What sim do you use in yours? is it pay as you go? I guess it only has to receive txts right? I'm not sure what to get.
Hi we just use a EE pay as you go sim 👍 yes all you need to do is send a text
@@RobandLynnontour Thanks, I will give it a go.
Very timely video, we have been thinking of one ,now convinced, thanks
Brilliant they are fantastic 👍
Hi Rob Lynn and Doggies , Hope you are all well , Great video and very interesting to see your heater fitted , looks a good one , so thanks for sharing , Take care all , 👍👍
Hi Paul, we are good thank you hope you are too,
Thank you we found it fascinating 🧐
Take care ☺️☺️
Gone posh with that one. I would say the Chinese heaters should not be dismissed as ours works great and had one in the last van. You always have diesel so always good to have you wont look back. Love having the remote so can turn it on in bed in the morning as we don't sleep with the heating on. Designed in Russia made in Latvia parts from China lol.
We have haven’t we ☺️☺️
Some Chinese heaters are ok but we do know a lot of people that have had problems with theirs,
We love that fact and also that we can turn it on wherever we are so the van is toasty when we get back ☺️☺️
The other good thing with the text is if its a freeze you can turn it on and keep the van toasty in storage.
That’s one of the reasons we had it fitted 👍
Are the latvian heaters (like you have had fitted) much more expensive than the chinese ones?
You can buy a 5kw chinese with a 5year warranty for £140 inc remote, and app on phone * no sim card though
How much was yours and how long is the warranty
Thanks 👍 3:07
Hi Rob & Lynn on Tour, Glad to see you both happy again in your love ❤️ machine/ bus / motorhome, did you get your shower 🚿 mended aswell ? Sent them an enquiry. It is in Overton Wrexham? Cheers for another great vlog. Happy holidays😂
Hi yes that’s the one, great company
Happy holidays to you too ☺️☺️
Hi lovelies just want to check with you Jamie has put in code but seems only on product (i.e modem) and not service of having heater in can you check that this is correct? Also do you know weight of the 4kq heater, thanks😊😊❤
Also did it come with a simcard? Or which did you use....😊😊
Hi Pauline, the best thing to do is call them direct, then you can explain everything you need and just tell them it’s through us to get the discount, also sorry I’m not of it but they will help, they are a great friendly company
Regarding the SIM card, I had one, it’s just a pay as you go EE, as it needs to be able to send a txt message back to you, but honestly it’s best to call them
@@RobandLynnontour hi that's great to know will defo ringnso can get discounts sorted and will sort out a sim card as well.. can I also ask which campsite you stayed at whilst getting the heater sorted. 😁🙏

Great idea and looks well fitted , but the best bit for a giggle was Rob finally getting a kiss 💋, awesome, brilliant information, stay safe, keep up to date on its progress and fuel use, we have a big Hymer that needs better heat, so you’ve given us something to look at, x❤️
Thank you 👍 the heater is amazing we are so glad we had it fitted 👍 I have to grab a kiss when I can 😂😂
💋💋💋💋❤️😂
exact same as a Chinese heater, fitted one last week with pump upgrade so is even quieter.
They may look the same, but we’ve looked into it, and in our opinion they aren’t the same. The Autoterm ones are far superior in parts and manufacture.
Just the same heater as wat we have in trucks very good heaters
They are awesome ☺️
I'm really tempted too put one in the caravan. Put the tank in the gas locker.
They are perfect for so many different systems and I’m sure that would work
Hi Rob & Lynn which autoterm dealer did you use ?
Hi we used the one in Wrexham the link is on the description in the video you will get 5 percent off 👍
You’s will be toasty warm with your new heating, you deserve a kiss from Lynn, Rob 😂😂❤
We certainly will be, we are really looking forward to going off grid this weekend
Do you think so ? 🤣🤣🤣
Looks a lovely system and defo the upgrade, we have a Truma diesel hetaer in our Consort and it heats up a lot quicker than on electric, toasty warm within a few minutes, take care Trev Debz and Tyler x x
Hi and yes it’s a great system we are thrilled with it,
And yes they heat up so much quicker, we are looking forward to being toasty over the rest of the winter, and to many more winters ahead
Take care ☺️☺️
Unbelievable what you have said about the Chinese heaters 😢we have had one for years with no problems
Hi we are only going on what so many people have said what they have encountered
But we have also had a few good reports

Interesting vlog, I like seeing how things are done. Looks an impressive piece of kit, it'll be worth its weight in gold in the winter, I take it it draws diesel from the main tank?
Hi Chris and thanks for watching 👍it’s absolutely fantastic piece of kit we are over the moon with it 👍 yes it takes diesel straight from the tank
Looks like a cracking job there - they come highly recommended the Autoterm ones so cracking choice - you should have said you had got a cheap one and no one would have parked next to you then 😀 haha joking aside some make a right racket don’t they!
Great backup heat source

I hate it when my hubby drills another hole in my van but he is very clever. He hates it when I feel the need to supervise lol.
Hi it’s not a nice feeling is it when the van is having holes put in it 😂😂
Realy like that great looking set up 👊

How can you call a Chinese diesel eater rubbish I’ve had one in my shed for five years. No trouble at all works. Well I’ve got one in my T4 for three years works well no trouble so how can you say Chinese diesel eater is rubbish the two I’ve got worked really well, fromJohn in cranwell
We know of many that aren’t any good, we did our research and found that this one is better made with better quality materials
You keep talking about changing the Moho. I do the same, if I need it I buy and fit rather than suffering while I am indecision mode.
Hi we do keep going on about it 👍it’s such a hard decision to make for us
You probably know this but when we hired a campervan last year which had Truma diesel heating, it had a safety device (sensor on the window) so that the heater would not work if the window above the exhaust vent was open. So you might not be able to open that side window (even on vent) if you want the heater to open. It’s to save you getting poisoned! They had told us the window couldn’t be open but I hadn’t realised it had to be in the lock setting.
Hi we haven’t heard of that before so to be honest we can’t comment 👍
You have a carbon monoxide detector in the van and lots of ventilation so it's not a problem
Andy
Hi and maybe, will give that a try, thank you,
If not we will send you a photo
We weren’t really it’s only banter, but we do know people that know how to fit them have problems, we did a lot of research and decided to go with a quality one made of well manufactured parts
Knowing the way you love to spend money rob I bet you are hurting right now no new van soon then
Not sure if you said the warranty is amazing on these
I think we did yes 👍 great product

Hi,
While you're vlogging, we'll be commenting as we love your content and humour.
P and J 👍 😊
Thank you so much 👍
The shower mixer tap probably requires a new cassette. This will be a lot cheaper than a complete new mixer tap.
Thank you for that it makes sense 👍
The best thing is that you don't have to search for LPG - diesel is available everywhere. Your gas bottles will last considerably longer for your gas hobs.
That’s very true Ken 👍 no more hunting for gas 👍
You ate lucky to be able to afford that model , and both keep on about Cheap Chinese heaters .
Never thought you were snobby , but hey ho
Good luck with your up market heater 😁
We definitely aren’t snobby at all, we did a lot of research before having this fitted, and found this one to be much better made, with better quality materials
Thank you, we are sure it’s going to make life easier and keep us toasty in the winters to come
hi rob and lynn, can you run your diesel heater while your driving too. we have a chausson 640, i think we can. we are new to motorhomes. this will be our first season. love the videos, HAPPY.
Hi, yes you can but not advisable if the roads are wet as the air intake will draw in water, some people do but it isn’t something we would do.
Hope you enjoy it as much as we do
Take care and happy holidays ☺️☺️
Take the badge off the tap and might be a screw underneath
I’ve found it 👍
Rob, you forget the Virgin technicians in your farewell!!
Unbelievable 🤣🤣
I've seen signs on caravan and motorhome windows saying do not open this window whist operating diesel heater. It has always puzzled me why anyone would have the window open when trying to heat their van. However, I guess the manufacturers must cover themselves. Stay warm.
Exactly why would anyone open their windows when it’s freezing unbelievable 🤷♂️
Hi you two please have the exhaust from the heater exiting the side of the van not underneath it can build carbon monoxide under the van when stationary.Good vlog though you might start a riot from the chinese heater gang 😂
We have every faith in the company that installed it, we went through everything with them, they have fitted many and honestly they know what they are doing
Hmmm maybe, but we’ve done lots of research before having one fitted, Chinese heaters are a lot noisier, but they are cheaper, we wanted a quiet one, each to their own eh ?
Very interesting 😊
Hi we found it very interesting too 👍thank you for your comment Jackie 👍
We are thinking of getting one fitted as well. Very impressed with the guys fitting the system in. Can I ask did you have to tell your Motorhome insurance about your upgrade and was there any difference in insurance? . Great video 👍

Best option. Should have drained the wet system and disconnected, you will not need it once you have the diesel heater.
Sounds a good option to me 👍
is diesel coming from your main tank
It is yes 👍
You just need to change your water heater for a truma😊
We won’t be doing that we have just splashed out for a refurbished boiler 👍
Don't knock the Chinese diesel heaters .. I've got 2 of them heating the house.. had them running all winter.. cheap as chips to run 😮
We know plenty of people who love them and even more that have had problems
But yes cheap as chips to run
@@RobandLynnontour .. the main reason why they all seem to have problems is running them on rubbish fuel..
I've got 2 Hcalory ones and to be honest there's no difference between expensive ones or cheaper ones apart from the name ..
Let's say you spent £800 on a named one thats 10 cheap ones 🤔.
Well we can’t comment on what fuel people use that’s entirely up to them
@@RobandLynnontour .. Well at least you two will be toasty warm now.. Wet central heating in any moving vehicle ain't a good mix with the flex of the vehicle joints will part and leaks will happen ❤
Must admit these are great fitted a few much better than the other brands but those ones do a good job at a price point, we won’t buy anything else as we build vans,
Hi and thank you for your comment 👍 we are absolutely over the moon with the heater it’s a game changer changer 👍

@@RobandLynnontour Full Stop.
Not that quiet, we can hear it here 1200 miles away. 😂
No seriously it sounds like a brilliant idea.
😂😂it’s a fantastic bit of kit we are so happy we had it fitted 👍
I think your comments will upset some people who cannot afford the heater you have and have someone fit. Then refer to the cheaper alternative as crappy and not wanting to be their neighbour is a little discrmatory to those with a more restrictive budget? Always watched your videos and this one did make me a bit uncomfortable.
We wouldn’t ever upset anyone intentionally, we weren’t on about price,
We researched heaters well before we entered into having one fitted, and we wanted one that was CE marked, and manufactured to a high standard
As for parking next to one, we have when we in Europe and it was so loud it woke us, so that was another thing we took into consideration, to get one as quiet as possible so not to disturb people who parked next to us
Wow, how do you get through life, If we worried about other people's feelings all the time, we would all still live in mud huts, get a grip, its there opinion!!
Sorry can’t here you over the loud humming 😂
