Being stuck in a house with 4 dogs in bad weather...my idea of heaven! Put the kettle on!
Yes please. Milk and one 😂
Agreed!
I totally agree!!
Yes, please - with milk and sugar, if you don't mind !!😂 I've got a sweet tooth !!
😆 my dogs are fluffy and they have to go out every hour or so to get utterly sodden so they can hurl themselves into my lap again.
Your dogs know they are loved. I’ve had border collies and they are the most loving and intelligent companions we could hope for.
I've had 4 sheep in the house, so 4 sheepdogs is fair enough 😁
I had 4 ponies in the house during a winterstorm 😁😁

😂
Uh :)
It may be that your dogs are used to life outside. But you can still see how happy they are to cuddle and play with you. They are so intelligent, they immediately recognize that you are giving them a special day 😃
Kate and Stormi are so affectionate toward Sean.
Thank you so much for inviting us into your home. Yet again you succeeded in educating us on numerous subjects. Sorry you both feel under the weather and hope you both will be on the mend soon. Will Stacy be sharing the recipe for the soup with us? This was wonderful to watch, again THANKS❤
Sorry to hear you and Stacy are not feeling well. We all wish you a speedy recovery. The dogs loved being in the house with you. So so cute!
That doggie is IN LOVE ❤ with its' owner'.... human
Kate and Stormie are very affectionate.
@@daniellewatson8352 isn't that ❤️
The same love and trust mine always showed. They know they are loved and in the right place. Really enjoy your videos👍😀❤️
This video was actually so wonderful as we could see much more of the nature of the dogs and your relationship with them. Have you ever known the weather to be like this in your lifetime? Please stay safe, thinking of you all over there in my Dads home land.
They love him so freaking much!
Thanks for sharing your no nonsense but also clearly fair and loving life with the animals you care for and deal with.
They have such beautiful coats! So shiny and healthy.
fish oil my guy. keeps coats shiny!
We have a husky/retriever mix and she is 10yrs old and she gets fish oil daily! We always get shock comments when everyone in our town pets her hair is very soft! But I really want a Kate!!? Don't worry I still adore my baby! LOL@@BxBxProductions
Love these dogs. Theyre working dogs but they love their cuddles
we had a border collie and her favourite job was to keep rounding us up when out for walks; they are lovely creatures
This was the only way we could tire one of our collie crosses out when he was young. We'd take him to the beach and just split up so we were all 50-100m apart and he'd sprint in circles around us all. FAMILY. MUST. BE. TOGETHER.
One big FAMILY. 🙂
Wet, mucky ground from the previous storm, leaves still on the trees, plus high winds are prime conditions for breaking off limbs and bringing down trees. Babet is really wrecking havoc. It’s almost completely stalled in its forward movement. Feel better soon!
The storm took down your birdfeeder, but it looks like those Scottish birds are quite resilient!
Kate and Stormi are so affectionate toward you.🕊🇦🇺
I miss my Collie Daisy everyday. So smart and loving but she could be the most devious little bugger 😂
When I was growing up in Oklahoma (USA) we had a Black/White Border Collie and she was an amazing dog. We lived in the suburbs and didn't have any sheep, but we had a large vegetable garden and Missy would herd toads up and keep them in the garden! She lived to be 18 yrs. old and had white "eyebrows" like one of your dogs have! I love watching you with your dogs!
Thank u so much. Hope Stacey is on the up now too. All the best to you and the doggies ❤
Brr, just watching that wind blowing makes me feel cold! Also LOL at Sean trying to talk to the camera with dogs demanding his attention. They're such wonderful creatures!
I love to read your following. Thank you for sharing your way of life. I hear so much about royal people in the UK, but not common folk like me. Ihave always wondered about Scotland. You have let me into your home, introduced me to you way of life, your wife, and dogs. I enjoy every moment. You explain things clearly. Today seeing the dogs indoors, the indoor dog, and the storm. I hope you get to feeling better, you and your wife. Hope the weather improves. Thank you so much for sharing your home. From southern Oregon.
Thanks for filming this for us. The dogs seemed to enjoy their time inside. Hope you and Stacey are back feeling normal!❤❤❤
The dogs seemed happy to be inside with their favorite people & yummy snacks. That is some wild weather up there, glad you weren't flooded out or evacuated. I loved the look Archie gave you when you asked if he wanted to go out to toilet, like "No, YOU go out if you think it's such a great idea!" Take care with yourselves & the dogs, b/c/ winter is definitely upon you!
You are so kind
Sooooo love the dogs and your videos❤❤❤ so interesting!! Michigan, USA
I'll swap a dog for human anyday. They are much more faithful and trustworthy.😊❤
Thanks for lovely update, the dogs would have thought they were on holidays and was good to keep them safe and you inside. Glad you and Stacey on the mend. Horrible storm.
You know your Dogs and how to raise them .
Watch the news on the storm looks bad in areas .
Take care .
storm is such a flirt
she and echo have such a strong bond, they work together too, its beautiful to see "normal" dogs that are obedient, happy, well loved...is the perfect situation...surely not the same to see a sherman shepard living in NY in an apartment
I love how Kate likes to spy on Echo lol. She is thinking, hey, this is MY house!
😂
Storm loves to have your attention...😄 Hope both of you feel well soon! Stacy your soup look delicious.
Yes! Thank you!
Your dogs are like mine, can’t hold their licker. My dog just loves to sneak a lick in whenever she can.
Dogs ON HOLIDAY while the wild winds blow. HEAVEN ! 😊
Comment on the spay/neuter. I agree with not getting animals spayed/neutered unless it's necessary, especially with working animals. You'd want good stock available to breed and you can't know that until they're older. That said, it also requires diligent, attentive owner responsibility to prevent a population explosion, and too many people aren't that diligent or attentive.
So sorry you're both under the weather, looks like your living with four toddlers~~~!!!!! Nice have a warm bowl of soup and coffee or tea, puppy sleep over!! feel better soon, those dogs are lovers!! precious! Kristine Scarpetti, Chicago
Thanks so much
Border collies are tough bred, wonderful working dogs. In Australia they live outside too - they adapt to their environment. Lighter coats.
It was a shock for me to see a British show type dog for the 1st time. It hated town life and was brought out to the mixed farm to live. Such a full coat and thicker legs.
I'm so happy to have found your channel! It's obvious that you have a deep love and understanding of your dogs. And they love and understand you as well. I wish you and Stacy a speedy recovery!
Crazy times… there was a video I was of a guy walking his dog in Stirlingshire, where he filmed the wind lifting up the ground, trees and all before it settled back down. Glad to see that the family is safe, take care.
Not easy keeping sheep dogs indoors when they have so much energy😁👍
Thank you for the videos! Love watching the dogs work. Great job! Beautiful. Stay safe and dry.
Oh my gosh, I love all of your dogs!! The way they look at you🥰 I hope Stacey is feeling better by now. That soup she made looked really good.
Get well soon guys. Looking good. 11:14
Sorry you missed going somewhere on your time off. The dogs, though, they don't seem to mind the break as long as you're there. They are obviously very happy and loved. Feel better soon the both of you!
Having your faithful & beautiful dogs in with you is surely to make anyone feel better! God bless!
We have many Border Collies in the US. I even have one that is nervous, like Kate and her very bold sister. Like most Borders, she is an excellent watch dog that enjoys attacking the water coming out of a garden hose.
She sounds great
Sean, I see your fly reels at the start. I bet a lot of us would love to see a video of you fishing at a Scottish trout stream.
Get well soon!
From Florida, USA. ❤
Thank you!
it's obvious everyone is enjoying this cozy day together, lovely video thank you. ❤
Sooo many border collie French kisses! 😂❤
Love Monty. (Your white dog, not sure i have his name right). He has the sweetest look to him. He wanted to be the one next to you on the couch. Cute!
Hi stacey, hope your feeling better now?,, I was also in my bed for 4 days straight with the flu. Take care guys 💖
I didn’t realize you have merchandise. Thank you for showing a tad bit of that. From Texas
You have wonderful hearth mates! Wishing you better weather and improved health to all.
@jona - thanks for the INTEL - didnt realize it was that significant a weather system (I'm in US) watching Sean's lovely channel - ALL THE BEST WISHES TO SEAN AND HIS FAMILY ❤
Sean, I love your videos so much! Keep up the good work!
Loved watching the doggies bathe you in lickins and lovins. They are such special dogs. Hope the storms are over and you are Stacey are feeling better. Love your videos, love your accent and love beautiful Scotland. Thank you.
Sean you keep such great care of the dogs. ❤❤ keep healthy be safe.
The ASMR of the dogs licking, eating their treats 😂❤❤
Amazing dogs and a wonderful owner
I just love watching the dogs run! Thank you
Love seeing the dogs interact with each other and you indoors. They all obviously adore you Sean. Never knew Border Collies were so affectionate. My daughter has a BC Aussie cross and he is fairly aloof. 😊
Thank you
Oh, snap, my sister has a Border Saluki cross & he's aloof with most people, very much a one woman dog. The rest of us get the odd lick of thanks in passing!
Thank you! I have been waiting for this video and your explanation about why it is important to keep working dogs outside. We are new to border collie ownership but also kennel my son's two pups outside, something he knew to do intuitively. You explain the reasoning behind it so well, validating his choice. I learned a lot by listening to your explanation. We are in Florida, USA, so it would be a shock to our dogs to go from the air conditioning inside (about half of the year) to the extreme heat outside to work. This video was sweet, to see you spending the day with your dogs inside on a lovely stormy day. We also deal with storms and even hurricanes, and sometimes have to bring the pups inside. They are still puppies (less than one year old) so it can get pretty wild! It is sweet to see you and your dogs during a lovely stormy day. Love your channel.
They like the cold weather of Scotland so prefer outdoor Kennels but Never chained up. I hope you can give them plenty of exercise and mental stimulation to fulfill their needs. They need a job to do. Agility exercises are a must for this Breed if they are not Working Dogs. They will get very bored and frustrated if they have nothing to do all day. They are not so much a Pet, unlike many other breeds. They need to run free and exercised for a minimum of 3 hrs a Day off lead. A Dog Park will not cut it for a Border Collie or be being left alone all Day with nothing to do. I Can't imagine any Collie liking Florida. I know I would hate to live there. Hot, busy, noisy, guns going off and police and Ambulance sirens 24,/7 would be Hell. I'm just being honest here and despite the Scottish climate, me and my Collie are blessed with the quiet, peaceful, beautiful Country, surrounded by Sea, Beaches, Lochs, Hills and Mountains. 🏴
Scotland is beautiful. Most of my ancestors are from there, having emigrated to here in the early 1600s or shortly thereafter. Florida is a beautiful state with amazing diversity of flora and fauna. Don't believe everything you hear or see online about Florida. We live in the country on beautiful forested land that is our Eden. We own even more acreage close by that is also in the country, forested, peaceful, and beautiful, our family legacy property from my parents. Our well draws from the pristine springs that also feed the Weeki Wachee springs and river. In fact, we live in bear country, so the kennels keep our dogs safe when we are not right there with them. Our border collies are purebred, AKC registered and both parents are ABCA registered, so they definitely want to work, were born to work. That's why we got them, not to be pets living outside. They were bred in Mississippi so have been used to a hot climate from birth and prefer to be outside even in our hot climate for all of the reasons you state, and then some. They get plenty of freedom to run and explore. They get their agility training with us and each other and love rambling over the 20-yard tree mulch piles we have brought in on a regular basis (mountains to them). I cannot imagine keeping this breed or any breed with similar needs in an apartment and depending on walks or dog parks to fulfill their need for exercise and stimulation. (In fact, I don't think I would take any dog to a dog park). Thank you for your thoughtful reply. Our puppies are well cared for and well loved. If a working dog should be kept outside in a cold climate so that it can acclimatize, it should also be kept outside in a generally hot climate for the same reason, although this winter is predicted to be especially cold in Florida. We'll keep an eye on that and are already making plans and preparations to keep the pups safe and comfortable. @@phoenixrising5088
@@kablevins Thank you so much for your enlightening comment. I really didn't know that Florida had such a diverse Landscape. It sound beautiful. Your Collie's will love all that space and freedom. I'm delighted that you totally consider their needs. As they were born and bred there, then I can understand that they acclimatise to the Heat. Thanks again, for educating me on Florida. 😘🥰🏴
My pleasure. Before we moved here in 1975, as newlyweds, I had pictured Florida as a coast-to-coast retirement village! We all have our learning curves. @@phoenixrising5088
Wishing you good health. Lovely to see you with all the dogs. What a wind! And I have always thought working dogs enjoy being outdoors round-the-clock. You explained nicely why this is so.
LOVE your videos! I miss my tri-color Border, named Samantha, so I really like watching Kate! But they are all just adorable and just want to reach in the screen and hug them all!
Aways love your video sis
Glad storm is better good health to all of you❤
Firstly, thank you for your informative videos! I have had mostly rottweillers and German shepherds, highly trained …. they have to be …. just like your border collies! I completely agree with you about neutering and have never done it to my dogs, never had any unwanted pregnancies either. Now you have me thinking of buying a border collie as they are so, so intelligent. By the way, I was born in Dumfries and left when I was 21 yrs old, know the border collies and farms well.
Really interesting to hear about how the dogs acclimatise best for outdoor work if left in kennels. I used to work on a sheep farm in Australia and no dog ever came into the house - all on long chains in the yard (and yes, they did have shade and water).
Thankyou you
This was a beautiful video I totally enjoyed. Thank you.
Just found your channel and love it 💕
Your dogs and you and Stacey are wonderful people and dog lovers.
Glad you are safe, feel better!! The soup looks delicious 😋 hope she gets better soon.
Thank you so much!
This was so cool to watch. Your beautiful dogs are just one big ball of energy! I love it!
So pleased that your all safe ❤ that’s what matters
You both keep safe and warm with those sweet babies :) Get well soon, you two ❤
That is a bad storm and I hope you guys get well soon!
Thanks
I love how you have your pack indoors. I get it that your dogs are working dogs, I guess being a city girl in America, I feel different.
the young ones hesitation on the first entry was cute
I saw a news clip about flooding in Scotland. Thought of you, stay safe.
Sean you are a good man and while I don't agree with all your ideas about Spay and Neuter I really appreciate the way you care for and take care of your dogs.
I have 4 border collies (not working dogs) in my house all the time.
When we need to go know matter the weather you have to take us out.
Yes
Kate is such a pleaser and Strom is the worker!!! Personally i have not seem much of Echo...but they are all such precious animals!
Give the spare room to the doggies on these cold blustery days
I love these videos. Such lovely and happy dogs.
Monty's such a placid boy.
Broccoli cheese soup. Good comfort food for when you feel ill and the weather is bad.
Your climate is very similar to ours in Grayland/Westport, Wa, USA. We have cranberry bogs - no livestock around here - but there is in other communities nearby. I very much enjoy watching your vids - your work and your dog crew are so fun. Nice to see a breed doing what it was bred to do: play/work in the fields. My fav: Kate. xox
Michigan has these kinds of storms as well especially in November. Hope you & Stacy feel better very soon. God bless you both.❤❤❤
Um 3 sheepdogs and 1 Lurcher? 😁 Glad you weathered the storm well, obs the dogs weren't bothered! Do they get bored in the house? Hope Stacey is feeling better soon. Thanks for the vid.
Hope you were all safe during Storm Babet? Was really terrible in parts of the UK.
Starlink in the backyard? Thanks for the look into your life. More interesting than mine :) Hope all is well after the storm and Best Regards and Best Wishes!
Fascinating information, thank you! May you both feel better quickly! Hopefully, the storm will die down soon. A hi from Oregon, USA, another place that can get very wet! 😊
Thank you
You answered my question before I even asked recording the leashes. Harsh life up there. Thank you for uploading. Felix Navidad from Spain. Hope you feel better soon x
Sure you have a phone to entertain yourself...but you also have a couple of beautiful dogs who seem to be happiest when they're making you happy.
The pups are like, "Hey, Dad! We will be couch potatoes for a few days, and look after you and Mom."
Sean and Stacy,
Your little family is just adorable! Thank you for sharing some of your beautiful life there in Scotland…it truly is beautiful!
I hope you both feel better soon!♥️
Good for you - they definitely are safer inside! Safe, warm and dry!!!❤
I just came across your channel and really love your content, thank you, great people!
10:13 they love "french kissing" 🤣🤣🤣
Echo sure is cute and has a beautiful coat.
At 10:30 "WHAT no I wasn't being lazy, you didn't see that!"
I adore this channel!
Love seeing how your dogs love you...its evident that you have cultivated a relationship of respect & kindness
Awww...the dogs sure loved their treats!
I've been thinking about you guys, watching the news from South Africa. Glad you are safe.
Thank you
