I'll probably use the first design to craft bamboo to sticks for my trading halls. Second: melon slices to melons, iron and gold farms, possibly sugarcane to paper.
Hopper hash / hopper priority is broken in 1.21 ... if you want to fix the big 9 wide machine, I have a solution but you may not like it much. Break all 9 hoppers in your system. Place them IN ORDER from the crafter backwards. Run the machine normally. It should work. Close the world, reopen the world. Run the same machine again it's broken. This is a Mojanky bug. Needs to be reported & whatnot but I can make mine work if I completely reset the hoppers. Otherwise I get 7 cobble, bow, dust every single time. Every time you reopen the world, you need to re-place those hoppers in order or it will not work in 1.21 (Upvote for visibility if this fixes yours)
For the second one you only need two dust, and make the repeater go into a block that is on the opposite side relative to the comparator that goes into the other comparator. Do not set the observing comparator to subtract mode, and set the incoming comparator to 9 instead of 8. Comparators in the default mode compare signal strengths (which is why it's called a comparator), such that it only lets a signal through if said signal is greater than or equal to the signal strength at the comparator's side input. The signal output will be of the same strength as the main input, meaning that the comparator in this scenario will output a signal of 9 instead of just 1.
Another option for a signal of eight is a furnace with a stack of fuel in the bottom and 19 non-smeltable items in the top, but I find that just using a comparator to lock the crafter until it hits a signal of nine, again using a furnace but with 46 non-smeltable items, can craft most things if you configure the crafter to only accept a certain pattern.
This has been incredibly helpful. I have spent a couple of hours trying to figure out how to get just melons instead of melon seeds, every tutorial I found was for people who already understood the most basic concepts of Redstone or for more complicated crating processes which confused me even more. Thank you. I used Design 2 on Java, works great!
@@vigneshnallamill9810 Just spent two hours attempting to make the sticky piston AND copper bulb versions. Complete failure, I can't even get power to the crafter. Would it be asking too much for a schematic or tutorial that incorporates the copper bulb? My knowledge of redstone is only slightly better than the knowledge of taste possessed by a spoon.
Here's what I'll build with each design. Simple auto crafter = small factory. Advanced auto crafter = large factory. Pro auto crafter = Advanced factory.
Thank you omgchad. To this day, your Minecraft tutorial videos are the only ones I've found that actually help me understand what is going on and how to work with it. Everything else either doesn't make sense or glosses over why it works and just says "do this and it works." Thank you for the time you take to make these and simplify everything. My Minecraft experience is so much more because of your videos.
I found 9 iron/gold nuggets in the chest and 8 ingots in the crafter after crafting ingots into blocks with the third design. Setting repeater to delay for two redstone ticks fixed that. Also, the redstone wire/block triggering the crafter is unnecessary because another wire/block already does that. Removing that unnecessary block makes the button easier to reach.
7:37, if your trying to use iron to make blocks of iron, use 2 input hoppers to feed the crafter. the items come in faster than the crafter gets the double pulse, and will stop it from making nuggies (until you run out if materials, the last craft may make a set of nuggs)
The first contraption emits two pulses for every operation. When the redstone piece turns on to stronger signal strength, and another time when it goes down again. E.g. if you have melon slices going in it will craft melon seeds, then melon blocks, then seeds etc. Usable only in recipes that have one slot open in the crafter, nothing else.
This was quite descriptive and detailed. I love this explanation. Thanks for this. Im going to take this newfound knowledge and utilize this once this update release
Well throughout, technical and descriptive of the autocrafter usage! I'm electronics technician and could understand your video very clearly! A good way to get new users started into using the autocraft the MOST effective way! Good job! I would LOVE to download the world file of that work! Keep up the good work!
You could hook this up to a minecart system connected to a mine, which is connected to an auto smelter, which is connected to a crafter You could have all your raw materials smelted and turned into blocks without ever having to leave your mine
Okay so that was pro... So what is it called when you build a bonemeal farm that can generate all bonemealable plants, then ship the left over bonemeal to another bamboo farm that powers a 64 furnace super smelter and deposits the excess into an auto crafting system that also has an input from an iron farm and automatically fills chests with everything you can make out of iron and wood, automatically detecting when the inventories are full or need refilled all without any loss?
Wouldn't it fix the first design if we fed that observer signal into a t-flip-flop, that way only every other of the two signals was powering the crafter. And since copper bulbs are 1 block t-flip-flops, doesn't that mean we have a avenue to still make it 1 block wide/tileable?
Check out JC Plays auto sorter. It's essentially the same idea with the redstone, comparator, redstone torxhes that's setup for the big one here except it goes into other hoppers. I've been up all night and explaining this terribly but yeah....JC Playz auto sorter. Dude is the bedrock goat
I feel proud. In a creative world I have managed to reach the second design by myself. I came to this video because I thought there would be a more compact circuit :(
I am trying to use your advanced design for a two item recipe. Do I have to change the signal from 8 to lower? Right now it wont spit the craftet item out
do all these desgins work on java and bedorck? on that last one i built it step by step and that long line of redstone torches are still on with mine and its not working and i do have the droppered filled as well,
It breaks after the first item is crafted...for some reason when I try to make repeaters after the first item the second torch and first stone get swapped 🤔
the advanced one isnt working im testing it with oak planks and a diamond to make jukeboxes however only the first craft works the following are mixed up

So far this is the most descriptive video that I have seen on the Crafter.
some (all) would say too descriptive

Sadly didn't work for me this doesn't work no matter what I do 😩
I spent the last 2 weeks for an answer. Thanks a lot it worked for me and i really hope it will be fixed in 1.21.2
Wdym place the hoppers in backwards?
With the nozzles facing away from the crafter?
The memories, I forgot about this channel

Its crazy that I've only watched videos from this channel when they're at least a year old

7:08 You can use a sticky piston with an observer to fix the double pulse.
This is true, but I hate the sound. I should have mentioned it in the video.
@@OMGcraftwith the addition of new copper bulb you can use them instead of piston with observer

Will bookmark this for the second design! I've been looking around for auto crafter builds to keep making sticks and iron blocks!

I’m just confused as to why he didn’t show us how to build the sorting system properly for the iron farm. I can’t figure it out
Nope. Even though the torch is in the 5th dispenser; it's still coming in last.

You used to call smooth stone “full halve stone slab”!
What the heck did fall in the lava at 4:02 ?! 😂 It's amazing, how it's absolutely ignoted... :D
looks like an iron golem from a farm
The 9 item does not work on 1.21 xbox bedrock for me 😩
Is there a video of the iron farm sorter crafter part? I just made my first iron farm and attempting to redstone the crafter into it

Made this 5 more times to make sure i did it right and so far the carrot always ends up last in the auto crafter

well the design was similar, I put the repeater at the end but the comparator was subtracting 4 instead of 8.
The first design with a piston and a copper lamp can correct the double input, but it makes a lot of noise
I see the crafter being used on items sorters and that's it. it's too slow to craft bread and swords because you'll never need that many.
Thanks a lot!!!!!
ty
crafter does not make planks once the table gets more that 1 Bamboo block it stops producing
It tottaly diftent on bedrock and I have 4 strength for the frirst build and only getting buttons
I am trying to use your advanced design for a two item recipe. Do I have to change the signal from 8 to lower? Right now it wont spit the craftet item out
Does this work in bedrock? I want to make dye, but the double pulse just ends up creating 2 dye, then the crafter just fills up and does nothing.
How about a bow to dispenser? In one build? I can follow a tutorial, but I don't quite understand It yet D:
I did that in this video at 14:54 - ruclips.net/video/XnaLQQeqKK0/видео.html
@@OMGcraft But that's not automated now is It? :P
I don't know if it happens to anyone else with the 3rd one that the items are skipped and get messed up when going to crafting

You are playing on bedrock right? Its kinda annoying and I dont know why this happens. Something is fucked up with the hopper ticks
Any of this version specific?
15:40 - advanced 😂
Chad what you call simple is mind boggling to me. You are a genius.
i cant place the observers like shown som1 pls help me quick im getting angry
I was 2-3 times happier before I saw this channel than I am now
i have tried so many videos and i can never get one to work for my basic iron farm
