They are the best. See her live in magnificent, and you realize that no video does justice to the energy that emanates and the vocal force. This woman is my favorite singer, and she is the reason I got closer to metal. Her work as a soloist is so varied, both in genres, vocally and interpretively, I think that's the reason why her audience is so varied.
Amazing, thank you!! Tarja's solo work is so different from what she did with Nightwish and she got to really shine on her own. Nowadays she writes most of the songs herself with her piano. Her voice has grown a lot during her solo career (as you can see from this performance). Can't wait for future reactions!
I am toooootally in love with her solo career....I bought her 5 studio albums in less than 1 year...She is now more versatile and less operatic....the sound is more modern and updated to nowdays....!
this performance is so fun!!! I love her with Nightwish but her whole energy is so different after she went solo. u know after Marko joined the band an interviewer asked Tuomas and Tarja if they think they can learn something from him, Marko being older and more experienced and Tarja said "he's so... free. that's something to learn". and she did!!! comparing this performance to how she performed with Nightwish you can just TELL how much pressure she put on her younger self. even if you didn't know, which we do. one time according to Marko she cried mid tour at an airport because she felt like her voice wasn't functioning the way she needed it to and he tried to reassure her that it was okay. seeing her so carefree and happy on stage now and not afraid to be silly too fills me with immense joy!!!
Somewhere in the interview she admitted that she whips herself for every fault and that she is learning how to forgive herself. She is a perfectionist in her work. I am so glad that Marko and Tarja reconciled.
This song is absolutely fantastic, she wrote it with two other people. The atmosphere here is amazing and she is just having so much fun. She is such a fantastic live performer and vocalist. I agree. I loved her in NW, and I was destroyed when she left, but now I see how great artist she is, not only the singer. She has become a complex artist who freely composes, writes and produces. She is so happy on the stage now. After recently starting her Instagram, I also like her as a person. She is a bit of a beautiful weirdo and so humble and sweet 😂
