I don't watch WWE, but after this, I don't know why people hate Roman so much. He gets so much grief and it doesn't really seem to be his fault. I can't speak to his wrestling ability, but he seems like a very level headed guy and a team player.

but even bryan said when wwe said he was going to come back and be in the match the fans turned on reigns. and thats what happen reigns had alot of heat before that the fans liked him but whne he won that changed everything
I'm a Roman Reigns fan and since his in ring debut, I've noticed he has wonderful chemistry with everyone he steps foot in the ring with and just like his heritage he's very humble and is easy to work with in the ring. He may not be a technical wrestler but he has in ring psychology, can go extreme, and for his size and height can do amazing moves while in the ring. Fans have to give him credit he is a hard worker and he gives fans what they want with his level of passion and intensity for the business through his family heritage and the fact that he's not trying to be John Cena, he is trying to be him. However, he's finding his groove and I guarantee you with technical moves of Kurt Angle (with Undertaker 's type of in-ring psychology and his high flying ability watch out WWE. #goRomanReigns

Most of the roster seem cool and charismatic people on these interviews, too bad they are forced to follow 100% a script, no wonder they can't get over like guys from past eras.

WWE should put the title on Roman in my opinion. Don't get me wrong I also like Rollins but Roman has something that resonates with me, it's the fact that he goes all out on every single match I have a huge respect for that.

Sometimes the writers or the producers gives to some particular wrestlers "free mic". They have to follow a speech but they can add some stuff they want to, only if its related.
+David Digi That's no necessarily true. Punk has stated that whenever he got his script from the writers he'd used it as general guidelines then throw it in the bin and do it his own way. It's not hard to tell when a guy is a delivering genuine, natural promo, even if they're following creative's outline. It's often the simplest thing like delivery that can make it seem natural. Look at Kevin Owens lately. He's a prime example. Look at backstage segments with Roman and Dean when they're being interviewed or anyone else. That is the style I'm referring to. And Roman Reigns if anything is the most corporate figure in wwe considering they are pushing this guy as the replacement for John Cena. Bryan and Punk if anything were anti-corporate. Wwe truly didn't want them to succeed, but they broke the mold.

I'm one of those people who hated on Roman when we won the Rumble but after that fastlane match with Daniel I've been a fan of his ever since. I don't mind him being in the title scene.
Erik Torrez Bryan outwrestled Roman in that match. it was literally all about Roman Reigns strength when he's not even the strongest

I love his perspective of having, as he said, "a bunch of thoroughbreds". He said something that struck a cord with me and that was he doesn't believe in just one guy. That alone makes me respect and look forward to Roman's Reign as WWE champ, because he will without a doubt put over guys like Ambrose, Bray Wyatt, Seth Rollins, etc. He believes in a team of top notch, money draws rather than one poster boy. Respect man.
+1Paraj Think about the attitude era. It was the same way. Yeah Stone Cold was huge and could be considered THE GUY at that time, but there were so many others around to help carry the show too like The Rock, Undertaker, Kane, HHH, HBK, etc. If one went down with an injury there was always someone else ready to step up.
Justin Crumley It was a tie between stone cold and the rock. But yea they always had at least one or two more guys to give the ball to when in doubt. WWE is FAILING in this department. Not only in building top guys, the development of these guys are important as well. What most people seem to forget is about the audiences' perspective of a superstar. Even though a superstar is popular, that does not denote they'll be a draw as champ. It's happened so many times before. They need to tend to these guys like they actually give a damn.
The fact the he foreshadowed The Bloodline goes to show that he always had this approach to business which makes me respect and love him even more.
Now imagine if Vince didn’t push the babyface Roman on us and just gave him creative freedom - how much The Bloodline would redefine the industry.
If they turn Reigns heel at Survivor Series he'll be the biggest star in the industry.
It's just a matter of time. Crazy how much talent was in the Shield. All 3 of them should be world champions.

I agree Roman has improved so much, and he is the real deal. He deserves to be WWE champion, and I feel that it will be much sooner that he will accomplish that goal.
Carol Holbert he's improved but I would hardly say so much I mean even Ryback was doing Innovative suplexes. Reigns is limited, you can tell when you go back with the Styles matches he does not have a counter for the holes its all about his strength when he's not even the strongest

Great interview, Sam! I don't get why people dislike Roman so much, he seems like a really cool guy! Sure he was pushed a bit too soon earlier this year, but he's gotten really better in and outside the ring.

They have tried so many different promos for Reigns and they all have sucked. Turn the guy heel so he can improve and become a big star organically.
Romans Stint with Bray has really turned me around. His Move-set has vastly improved from the classic clothesline, drive-by, Superman, spear. Him not having to do 20 min segs every week is working wonders (although i wish they'd do the same for rollins) I hope they don't screw him again this time with the title. I would've loved to have seen ADR win the fatal 4 way but all in all i'm glad its Roman, he deserves it. Insert typical "i'm a 10 year old cena fan" response below.
Roman Reigns used to perform more moves in FCW. But I think once he got on the main roster, they limit his move usage or whatever.

Roman Reigns is THE top babyface in WWE right now, like it or not! I have been obsessed with this dude since he first entered WWE. I have been a WWE Fan for many years now (I'm only 30) but he is the guy I really think is special on many levels. Despite just having a general all around entitled one feel about him, (chosen one) he is incredibly cool under pressure, very talented with little experience, and always looks pretty. What's not to love? This guy is basically coolness personified. It's about time we have a really cool top star, anyone agree? Of course, he is the 2014 superstar of the year, then takes lots of heat for being a WrestleMania Main Event? He's a feminist! He likes women too, we have that in common. JBL (jackass) callas him a hothead, thus proving JBL is fool of crap on almost every level. Interesting cool dude, and the pride of Polynesian fans! Hope he beats Sheamus at TLC! RomanReigns will be WWE World Heavyweight Champion!

I was one of the people who was extremely unhappy when he won the Royal Rumble but it has to be said from is Fastlane match with Daniel Bryan onwards he's won me over in the ring. I no longer have an issue with him being put in the title scene.
I still don't think much of him on the mic, but hey, that may improve over time.
+Alex Haskett As a Reigns fan, even I would have been happier if he hadn't won the RR. I knew he was going to get the reaction he did, but the problem was, the crowd had been cheering and chanting for him, right up to the point where the internet rumours started about his "push". A lot of social media wrestling fans are their own worst enemy. They sit day after day, predicting and analysing the hell out of everything, then by the time it happens they have already bored themselves with it. I've been a fan from the moment I saw him, and will continue to be a fan, and sorry, but anyone who says they can't see the difference in him between the RR and now clearly isn't actually watching the guy, they are just hating for the sake of it.
+Hilary Knowles As a guy who isn't a big Reigns fan I can tell you not everybody hates him and looks at "rumours". He simply did not have the charisma for me to believe in him as a top guy. He has gotten good in the ring but he still lacks mic skills and charisma. If he had that he would be great. I think a character change will do him a lot of good. I really want to like him but I need him to have a good character first.
Roman would be a good heel. Then a year or two after he would be a good face. But without a heel turn I don't know if he can get passed all of his haters

I think the idea of Roman Reigns as this sort of underdog is a disservice to him. He looks like a Conan The Barbarian type someone who talks more with his fists not someone who may or may not win. He's to me a lot like Brock Lesnar, someone who I want to see destroy people in the ring not fumble around on the mic, or cutting promos. I think he needs to be either a wrestler of few words or have someone to do most of the talking for him so he can look menacing. Though in actuality I think he can do better on the mic if they just give him a chance to cut his own promos and throw away the scripts.

Reigns is the next GUY. It's obvious. From this interview combined with his in ring work so far, and the fact he's had classic matches as part of Shield and in singles; Lesnar WM31 & Wyatt HIAC. Reigns is the next big thing
