If it comes back into the shop and needs it he can film it. But those are easy. Just like other Toyo engines, ratchet on the tensioner and off it comes.

I have replaced my serpentine belt a few times, from experience owning a 15-year-old Tacoma, when doing this job go with an OEM belt and make sure to either take a picture of the belt routing or make a quick diagram before removing it.

I would not doubt you were the person who cleaned the throttle body. I had a good mechanic like you once when I was very young. He cleaned it and took care of me before I knew. All I said was it would not start sometimes after immediately running. Hot soak. So he cleaned it to try to help.

Hi Peter! A good hack for fixing a broken plastic vacuum port is using a 3/16” dia pop rivet with a 3/4” long barrel, remove the stem, open up the hole in the box with a #13 drill. Then press in the pop rivet from the inside and push the hose on as normal while holding the pop rivet with needle nose on the outside or fingers on the inside.

I watch his channel a lot too! I'm a "top fan" on his page and he likes when I use his words and it reminds him to say them in his videos haha. I said recently on a preview post of his, "but I got to, I'm looking straight at it!" And he used it. No coincidence. Happened many times. I think he appreciates me helping his fanpage. I would encourage you also to get onboard for the FB video postings because they give out a lot of money right now for content makers. All you need to do is post there as well and the views come in. I cannot donate enough to you to make the equal amount of money that you can make on posting your videos to FB. Hopefully that brings you a lot of revenue. You can pay me back someday after your first few thousand or so with helping me chase this clunk in my suspension. ;)

Something helpful too is on the install of a *new* sparkalater ;) there will be a new crush washer at the seat of the plug. I can actually feel it crushing and pretty much exactly 130° is always when the feel of the crush washer will stop crushing and immediately give a resistance where you will know without a doubt that is where to stop.

I worked on an engine 1MZ-FE for a while few years ago. It was liek 15 yrs old at the time. Almost every single connector tab I touched and squeezed like that it broke except for one (maybe replaced long ago before) and one or two that had fipg or rtv on it to hold it on. Luckily it never seemed to go loose. The connector is hardened and seemed to just have memory to hold on even with normal engine vibrations.

  • @LAactor

Let me add something, I was the one who suggested you use your whole hand to focus the close up details. I believe it is the additional light on the edges of the frame in general that is confusing your camera. Overexposure in those areas. Maybe you can frame it so there is not so much of the shop on the edges that bounces the light into the lens. That was the first time you had focus problems in this video where it would not work. The second time is on your tray stand. For that I believe the shallow angle plus the lighting was to blame. I would suggest different angles. Maybe it was just chance luck that it was the only angle it had trouble. I don't know if you shoot manual ISO but that and aperture can be some settings that can help. But I really like the picture as is. Maybe if you are doing a tray demonstration point the camera more down into the tray and hopefully that is the correct guess to make it focus correctly. If not, try different things. It's okay, settling into a new place takes time.
