That was funny when peacemaker Doc, called Little John, "a big ape", reminded of me of a previous episode when guest star Jack Lord, playing a lineman called Little John, "a big clumsy ox" when he dropped the telephone wire in the water accidentally.
Rexicano - Who cares about the “false” drama, we love our guys ether way. And as far as Saunders is concerned haven’t you learned by now that he is GOD, he’s invincible.
Shasta.. You have to remember that these were filmed for the 1960s "narrow screen" of TV with its pinched-in 4:3 aspect ratio limitation. Plus the sets back then were really crappy and fuzzy picture quality was the norm. The average home had its TV antenna pointing the wrong way with bent elements. So close-up shots needed the guys to bunch together to get more in each shot. So I think the concession goes to TV production tradeoffs as much as anything else. That would be my guess.
And the only WWII helmet camo bands I can find look very much like Vietnam issue except a little wider. His band must be field expedient. Wide bands like that were used by the Germans.
2 combat tours, I always carried more "ammo " than rations....for obvious reasons. Good series, it's remarkably close to "real" excluding, showing the dog tags, case in point, nothing is "perfect ",not a criticism, just an observation.
"I realized, that Director Mr.Gene Levit, might have been having issues with (Vic Morrow,Piere Jalbert and perhaps Dick Peabody)near ending the 'Combat, action drama' T.V.series,was a personal conflict;so the idea of writing an 'episode"Conflict",would be it: 7--2--2022'
Interesting, I didn't know that they were using helmet cover bands like that back then, if that's what he was using it as. In the late 60s we used narrow elastic bands for our Mitchell pattern helmet camp covers. Those elastic bands were also handy for holding things that were frequently used, like the little plastic bottles of LSA gun lube we used for our M-16s.
hello,"Iam from Brazil,good serie,good channel Various Videos2012,today 27/07/2019 july,good movie,the best channel of war,thanks for this movie,good bye.
Now these guys are bickering like little kids!!.....Completely uncalled for in a combat environment. I thought these guys said they depend on each other.
This particular mission makes no sense to me. Their squad is down several already, no sleep for 36 hours and command needs a German prisoner? WTF over………….
Littlejohn wasn't 'childish' just a simple country-bumpkin, who could surprise everyone with his dry wit and honesty. Littlejohn had a heart of gold, he was just cranky today. . Caje was the 'enabler' he was dependable and loyal and often the foil to Littlejohn.
Sure like the way they move - all bunched up so 1 grenade or a burst from an MG 42 could take out all or most of them. If we'd done that, even in the dark, Mr. Charles would have beat our butts & what was left would have been chewed by the 1st Shirt. Vets of WW2 or Korea or not in the cast they should have known better but I guess this looks better on TV.....
I love this show BUT...has anyone ever seen the germans flank the Americans in any show???????? And I would have put a few mines around the germans mg on each side and behind them, in case they did get flanked.
Another German machine gun firing non stop and can't penetrate that handy log the squad is using for cover. That good old log. And yet another flanking maneuver against an undefendd german flank. What was with the writers? Same fire fight tactic over and over, same German machine gun that never hits anything or runs out of ammo. Just saying. Like the series but could have not been so repeatitious.
My idol Sgt. Saunders he is my idol, I'm 66 yrs old I still keep on watching combat again n again..
Great is great
Love the doc he's the conscious of the squad!!!
Part 2: Gotta love Doc. He cut through the bullshit between Caje and Little John.

I just want to know 1) how did they get dried out so fast and 2) where did they put their rain ponchos?
Saunders may have had his kraut prisoner...but shot him. Heat of battle I guess.

What no BAR manager in the squad this episode?
14:38 looked like a dead giant for a second
80 people couldn’t find a kraut to take back to G2...

False drama? It's a TV show not reality, remember?

Caje was the most reliable man on the squad, always had to deal with Little John's childish behavior.

little John was angry because he didn't get the James Bond movie cuz he was stuck doing the Combat contract.
Hahahahaha

A commercial break during the shooting ? Ok so it was a pause lol 👈👀😩🔫
Little John is a bit off character in this episode.
This is a story of how tempers flare under the cloud of war...

Gosto muito de assistir Combate. Bem que poderia ser dublado em português, ou pelo menos legendado. Aí não tinha prá ninguém.
