I absolutely love Valeriia! She's not the typical waif-like ballerina (like myself), but she still has the softness yet agility for today's choreography! I honestly think she is a wonderful role model. Sending love from Australia!
It's a shame I'm gonna start ballet in my late teens but I feel that bring able to dance ballet is such a beautiful gift I couldn't pass up I want my little sister to experience the happiness I experience from watching beautiful dancers an to inspire her to do her best in life
@@marid5048 I haven’t gone I was busy with classes adulting and living situation along with other stability management but my sister will begin after 5
Nothing to do with what the title says. Where were the tips on how to stand out? The message was that companies look for variety. What does that have anything to do with how to be yourself and stand out?!
You dont need to be felxible to do ballet you need to be commited and diseplined to streach so that you can become better at ballet when i started ballet i was sooo unflexible now ive been doing it for7 years and i am flexible but what you also need is strength in your core and develop strong legs qqq
At times artistry means good acting - being able to get into character. Which is why I don't understand why ballet is not as famous as pop music or movies! A dancer is expected to take years of ballet training and be a good actor without taking acting lessons! Ballet is just as underappreciated of an art form as poetry.
I'm auditioning for musical theatre colleges next year and most auditons include a ballet class to check for technique. I don't do ballet - does anyone have any basic tips for me to impress at these classes ( obviously the ballet won't be anywhere near this standard )
cara mckay me too! In some they do jazz classes which is lucky for me. But as a very inexperienced dancer but more experienced performer I would say that first of all give it your everything without taking it too seriously. Concentrate, that's essential. It might be hard when you know that people are judging you but don't think about that. Be positive! Fake it until you make it! That's what I do at auditions!
Hi! I might be late but I have been doing ballet since I was 3 and you NEED to remember;-Tailbone down-Lift up through your head-Keep your ribs in-Use your glutes and sitsbones always.Hope this help! x
cara mckay learn the basics of ballet here is some that i know coz i do ballet releves, plies; tendus, pointe and demi pointe what r pointe shoes 1st second 3rd 4th and 5th positions go online and find the basics and that would be good. Or do an adult beginner ballet coarse
Let's be honest... they're also looking for certain bodies, heights, flexibility. Many of the greatest ballet dancers in history would have a hard time getting hired by companies today because there's so much emphasis on appearance. Sadly, I think some companies have become rather bland because of this with technically highly proficient dancers who aren't terribly interesting performers nor especially musical.
Guys like she said she's 9, don't be mean. Let her be a kid. Would you tell say a 6 year old: "No your not a ballerina! Get some proper training first, then maybe the corps de ballet... maybe." No you wouldn't because that's cold, if you would then Get help
3 important things to remember:
1. technique
2. Artistry
3. Being able for reach out to the audience, make them feel lost in the story
Arianna Noorzai I have the last 2 I NEED THE FIRST AHHHHHHH
