I love Mimi! I got to see her perform with NYCB a few times and it was the coolest! She also randomly showed up with her boyfriend at my work walking distance from Lincoln Center and they could not have been sweeter.

i just loved this series! you should do figure skating for your next series. i figure skate and there is hardly any videos on youtube about the real stuff us figure skaters go through. itd be really amazing to see videos out there about the real training and how physically and emotionally demanding the sport is to the world.
I think that would be cool to see to

I also did competitive figure skating for many years, so I know how hard the training is and how much time it takes to learn all these difficult elements!
And of course I had to handle school and homework too (homeschooling isn't allowed where I live)! So I was busy for more hours a day than an adult with a full-time job!
It's sad that many people still don't realise how hard this sport actually is -.-
I dance ballet, and it's very hard for me to find things harder to do than the things you go through for it. The only other thing I think is harder than ballet it figure skating in my opinion. I mean, you do everything we do basically, but with blades, and on ice! I have a lot of respect for figure skaters. I'd much rather be in a pointe shoe to be honest haha :)

YES! I am a competitive figure skater and seeing a show that accurately described what it's like would make my life. All the other shows about figure skating haven't truly displayed the hardships or the amazingness of my sport.
I'm sitting here watching people doing so many pirouettes while I'm here having a mental single pirouette block 😅😂

These teens are so mature and dedicated. Very inspiring!
There should be a season of strictly episodes. On different jobs like figure skating, having a business, acting etc. It would cool how much work is involve to do those jobs and give us a good idea if we wanted to achieve that goal.
I'm so sad this season is over!! Season 2 would be wonderful..... Haha I thoroughly enjoyed these ballet videos. :)

She was in LA ballet, now she is in the corps in Miami city ballet. And Mimi is not i New york city ballet anymore. I think she is studying

I love this series. I have a suggestion. Maybe you can start a series about horseback riding. I know this is probably not going to happen, but it would be awesome. A lot of people think riding is easy but it really isn't. Just a suggestion.

Yes please!! Sooo many people think that it's so easy but it's a very physically demanding sport. I can't say much about western, though I'm sure it's just as hard, but as a show jumper at least, I can say 100% that you have to be on top of your game and put a lot of hard work and dedication into it and train just like any other athlete, it's sad that a lot people don't appreciate that 😔
Or figure skating!! That was my thing as a teenager 😉

Great series! As a gymnast I can totally relate to the commitment it takes! I just started vlogs on my channel to follow my progress to making it in elite gymnastics. It's hard work but worth it! Can't wait to see more videos :)

I don't think I have ever looked forward to a new episode more than I have with this amazing series. I dance but started to late to be able to do ballet. I have always admired the dance and been interested by it so I loved this! Please continue this series or add more like it! I loved how real it was! Great job!

I loved the series! I watched every single episode, and am going to restart it again because I love it so much! It's amazing that all of the dancers are actually professionals, or training to become professionals. I also loved how there's no unnecessary drama involved, just real life. you guys should make the next series about rythmic gymnastics! I find that the sport is also an art, and resembles dance. they also life goals, and it just resembles ballet, and dance, which would keep your viewers interested:))

As a dancer I can say that having training is important. I think that Alec who is still young is doing good getting one more year of training (Cause ballet dancers do barre everyday and train everyday) But also he'll need to start looking for a place in another company next year
He ended up getting a contract with this company lol

I must say that I was surprised that Jasmine didn't get offers from Dance Theatre Of Harlem or even Alvin Ailey. What makes me so angry about Ballet is that it's still so Segregated. I have yet to see an African American Dancer who has managed to Cross Over. I wonder what happened to The Two African American Male Students.

Red's Secret Yeah, you're right. Those kids are amazing I must say. Just the beating that their feet take shows just how committed they are. I wonder if they have to have periodical visits with Podatrists or even go for Pedicures.

There is an amazing African American dancer at my studio and she is going to Alvin Ailey this summer so it's not segregated. It's whoever they choose

Loved the series, though I wish each segment was longer (as they repeated a lot of scenes within each segment). I remember watching Jasmine from Dance212 and was happy she was invited to train year-round at SAB. I feel sad she wasn't offered an apprenticeship. I had a feeling, if one were offered, it would go to Mimi (whose voice drove me nuts).
Maybe Strictly Dance will return and follow the remaining students :o)
Does anyone know what happened to Stephanie and Emily? I found an article talking about where the dancers are now, but it failed to mention both the younger girls. I found a person in the New York City Ballet list named Emily Kikta? But I'm not sure if she's the same person

I used to dance at Verb Ballets! And I'm 80% sure that Victor used to teach at the dance studio I attend now, but maybe it was someone who just looks like him (but the teacher's name was Victor!)

I feel like I hold a lot of regret after watching this video. I did ballet for a year when I was 9, and I was away 3 months of that year starting an English school in Indonesia with my family. Today I am in love with the elegance of the art, and now that I’ll be 18 in two months, I feel like this dream is gone. :(
