As convenient as digitalization has been, it has truly also removed a lot of in real life social interaction. Technology always has a backside to it, and I think that should be discussed more. Good times!
I remember I was in 8th grade the day wotlk released. I just hit level 70 about a week before wrath came out because I remember I was so excited to be max level and do the headless horsemen now that I was 70. Woke up at like 430 am that day and played until I had to go to school. Such a good memory 🥶
I remember vividly when this game came out. I was in 7th grade and one of my best friends till this day (S/O Anthony DeNovio) introduced me to WoW. I still play it till this day on and off. My friend group and I were WoWheads for years lol
2001-2009 seems like it was the peak of the gaming industry. Sadly I was born in ‘02 so I didn’t get to experience this… or Halo 2 online on the original Xbox… the one reason why I wish I was born in the ‘80s.
I remmeber begging my parent when I was a kid to buy me the game in exchange for 6 weeks worth of pocket money, then instead of pocket money I had game time (I lowballed myself by halfing what I would normally get just to make sure I got the game). Man I miss how WoW was back then. So many memories, so many people.. just incredible
