Not sure I’d ever consider to use a Fuji GSW to shoot portraits but that is just me. While the color print films don’t mind a bit of overexposure the color slide films don’t. I’ve found that the slide stocks like ½ to 1 stop under exposure especially in bright sunlight conditions. Kodak seems to have that blueish color cast when shot in bright sunlight and over exposed, at least that has been my experience
Colour negative films definitely have that level of leniency which colour positives do not. That's useful to know, although in this case Provia has come out with the tint, which was a little surprising! Did you have any luck finding some [Provia]?
We’ve been doing some remodeling of our house. New bathroom and the kitchen is most likely next. So I will have to remember how to build cupboards and cabinets. We sold our travel trailer/caravan so we haven’t done any traveling this spring or summer. Since I haven’t been shooting as much lately my frig is rather full of E100, Ektar, Portra and Kodak Gold. Also HP4 & 5 and TMax 400 & even some Shanghai 220 film. So I haven’t tried to find any Provia just yet. Hoping to get back into things this Fall as that is my favorite time of year. And just in the interests of full disclosure, if I haven’t already, my name is Bob and I’m a 70 yr old man. Retired firefighter and pastry chef that also used to 50 yrs ago help his dad build cabinets. Sophie is my 4 yr old corgi. I’ve been shooting since 1970 for my job as a firefighter and chef. I’m at present a rather serious amateur shooter with far too many cameras according to my wife.
@@sophietucker1255 One cannot have too many cameras, Rob! Home improvements sound exciting but I'm sure you've got that all in hand with your cabinet building days! Sounds like you have had a wonderful experiences so far, where can we see your photos from your firefighting and chef days?! Which of your cameras are your favourite to shoot with?
Professionals never Ever Ever shoot with subjects directly in the sun the exposure for Fuji has challenged you and you failed YOU should know your zone system if you are any kind of a serious photographer

That's right, Malik!
Shooting with 6x9 and Fuji it’s ESSENTIAL to use a spot meter correctly nothing else will do 🫡
Spot on!
