Absolutely not, playing with feel and dynamics is much more harder than playing holy wars. Once you get grip on the riff it becomes easier. The solo is fast but its not impossible to learn.

Bigkidstudios23 The hard part of this song is the verse. I just practiced this song very slow till I could work at the speed, eventually it’s not even that hard.
I will say you can use mustaines spider technique when you're doing those quick power chord changes on different strings. For example when use your middle and pinkie to finger that f5 chord on the a and d strings then you just use your index and ring fingers to grab the b5 chord on the low e and a stings. You don't have to shift hand positions or try and jump strings. Sounds cleaner as well. Mustaine actually does a video about it I think in a guitar world column. As usual Carl excellent lesson. To quote judge smells "top notch top notch."

There's some small mistake: E notes in main riff are not all 16th, couple of them are actually 8th if you listen to the song carefully (you feel them like small pause). One is the 3rd E note after 5 to 7 fret hammer on A string (just before 10 to 7 fret pull off) and the second one is before the 2nd 5 to 7 fret hammer on when they're played twice in a row. That makes riff feel more gallopy and it's actually a bit easier to play so you don't lose control.
youre right and this shit is driving me crazy. I tried to learn it with all 16th but when you slow down the megadeth video you can hear its 5-7 000 10-7 0000 0000 5-7 000 5-7 0000. what gets me is the part with the 8 e notes before the 5-7 hammer I always get caught up in the string or when I try to play at speed I end up playing only 5 es. AAAAAAAAh its driving me insane Ive been at it for 3 weeks and its really kicking my ass.
it SHOULD be easier to play but I feel like its almost easier to just play straight 16ths its more fluid. but its impossible to play 16th at speed and stay clean lol fuck you dave for torturing me like this.
Yeah but it's conveniently placed at the end of the beat, which makes it easier to to play the 3rd E note as a 16th and leave the other 16th as a pause (which is what an eighth note is anyways)

It will take some time, and I thought the same thing, but 2 1/2 years ago I decided to pick the guitar that had been sitting in my basement and dedicated myself to playing and practicing everyday, even if its just 5 minutes. I started with Justin Guitar's beginner's course and have only seen improvement. So many great teachers online, Carl Brown, Justin Sandercoe, Marty Schwartz, Eric Blackmon, Mike from Art of Guitar among others.
If anyone is still reading this, when you're playing the riff at 4:29, right after the 10-7 pull of, do you start the 0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0 alternate picking sequence with a down stroke or an up stroke? When I play at 75% speed, it doesn't matter, but when I try it at 100%, If I start with a downstroke, I find it hard to transition from the last upstroke to the next 5-7 hammer on. I have to skip over the E string, and I just don't have enough time to do it. However when I start with an upstroke, I don't have the transition problem, but then I have to concentrate real hard to remember to start with an upstroke.

I'd say whatever is easier for you, as long as you're able to make it sound correct.
