- I will be giving a tour in our 3 bedroom townhouse in Yokosuka, Japan. Aside from giving a tour, it will show you other things we did before we settle to the house. I hope you will enjoy the tour.
Japanese movers are the best...here in Sigonella the movers from fercam stole something from our house.
This looks like the officer townhomes. I used to live a block away in Sanban Tower.

We are due to PCS there middle of next year and I'm having mixed emotions about it. I just PCs from there. We lived in townhouse too. Just me and husband. My only son born one year later.
When we were stationed there in 89-92 , we lived on kimball(?). When i transferred to Sasebo, she was aɓle to stay there until housing was available in Sasebo

Do you k ow if federal employees have an opportunity to live on base of do they have to live off base. I'm considering applying for jobs in Japan.
Eb O they do as long as I think their is only an 80-90% occupancy on base but with the current situation all military personnel with dependents have to stay on base or some exceptions like the number of bedrooms for a family that housing can’t provide. So right now base housing is full. But I think most civilians stay off base
Officer housing?
I am not sure with the townhouses. But as far as I know Tsubaki and Sakura towers are for officers

What about the license? When will they offer the class for the license?
YT Urijah you mean drivers license? It’s part of the AOB. We had our written exam on the next week in time for ROM to be over. No more driving test

We were just lucky, the house was available the moment we were done with ROM. It really depends on the availability when you get here.
How is there two of you and you have a 3 bedroom
It goes by rank. I think E7 and above automatically get 3 bedrooms regardless of the number of dependents.

all floor plans either officer or enlisted are the same, it just depends on the location of the tower or townhouse

Is it more expensive to live in a townhome than a tower?
they are just the same….the only additional expenses was I need to hire someone to mow the lawn

What items do you think are important to put on your express shipment?
Courtney Robey Linens, towels, pillows, kitchen utensils, pats and pans. More clothes and shoes. A small TV. Or everything that you have extra that you don’t want to purchase while waiting for your HHG. Btw, send your express a month or two before your ETA

@@vanzelsimmons9048 my husband already contacted them before we arrived here and while we were in ROM, they sent us list of available units and did all paper works as soon as we were done with ROM
