Growing up in San Francisco as a Giants fan, Eric Davis was my all time favorite player. Even though he was past his prime I still enjoyed watching him when he finally came to the giants.

Was one of my favorite players back in the day. He was one of the most talented players ive seen. I remember his injury in the world series when i was a kid like yesterdAy. Diving for a ball he ended up landing awkwardly suffering kidney and hip issues from. He was never the same after that sadley. Hd coulda been one of the goats

😅I liked him but was sad to hear he trashed Ray Miller after taking over as manager in 98. That was very suprsing but apperently is something he done before. I liked watching him play. Recall when the Orioles had 24 on their hekmets during his cancer battle, and then got chemo, and playedin the Division Series and AlCS that night on couple occasions in 1997 v. Cle. And NY.

Eric Davis was my favorite player as a kid. Possibly the strangest batting stance ever. He stood almost straight up and held the bat below his waist.

Eric Davis's 1987 season is the greatest in history. He hit 37 home runs and stole 50 stolen bases in 129 games. I've written Bill James to try to get him to change the formula for sabermetrics and algorithms, because that production in 129 games should be worth at least 10 WAR alone -- before any other statistics are factored in. He really needs to increase WAR for award winnings as well.

Eric Davis, my favorite player growing up by far. Would've been great to see how his career could've played out if he stayed healthy. Still -- this stat blows me away: From June '86 to July '87 (162 games), he hit .308 with 47 HRs, 123 RBIs and 98 stolen bases. That's never, ever been done and will never again. ruclips.net/video/Pjthf71nF1E/видео.html

I Met Eric Davis back in the mid 90s at a Deion Sanders basketball event in Miami at the Golden Panther Arena at FIU, and I went up to him to get his autograph, and for some odd reason I said "Otis" instead of "ERIC." Mind you I knew exactly who Eric was, and I was a big fan, and I went up to him knowing it was Eric but I made a verbal slip. He was like "Naw kid I'm not Otis..." and walked away! I SAID "OMG Mr Davis I'm sorry I don't know why I said Otis.." Eric got mad, and kept walking away... I goofed cause Otis Nixon was at the event and I had just ran into him. My one story with Eric but he was a great player, and a shame he got hurt when he did I loved watching him play. Watching him I thought he was going to be like Ken Griffey Jr when his career ended up but his injuries really set him back a lot.

Arguably the most talented baseball player who ever lived. Those very brief moments when he was healthy (never truly healthy for even one full season) he would put up video game numbers in batting average, homeruns and steals for those weeks or months. A healthy Eric Davis - even his buddy Strawberry, pre-roids early S.F. Bonds or Griffey could not touch him. When you watched him during those very fleeting moments when his body was fully healthy, he really was a better Willie Mays. Eric Davis and Pete Reiser - arguably the 2 most talented ballplayers ever - and the casual fan nowadays has no clue who either of these guys are.

    • @ousamaabdu794

    • @TimCarter

Davis is my all time favorite player, but I have no idea what he is talking about when he says Gwynn barely beat him for a batting title. In 1998 Davis hit .327, his highest average by far and that was only good for 8th place that season.
