Outstanding video. You are the only one who mentions that Fernando's relief appearances v. Astros gave a good hint to fans paying attention he would be somebody down the road. Well that came pretty quick! Thanks for focusing on his brilliance as a player. No doubt his cultural impact was (and remains) very real, this guy was an amazing story because he came literally from being dirt poor in a Mexico the so-called "Latino community" he inspired was a generation or two from the world he came from. The dude was a straight up hero to ALL Dodger fans-white, black, brown and all shades in between. God bless you, El Toro! The likes of you shall never pass this way again! Say hi to Vin and toss a couple of sombreros into the sky! 🙏

Fernando Valenzuela paid a steep price during his incredible rookie season in 1981. At just 20 years old, he threw 8 consecutive complete games to start the season-something unheard of in modern baseball. He led the league with 11 complete games, highlighting the heavy workload he faced at such a young age and the long-term toll it took on his career.

Great vid. Only mistake is in 3:20. Number 46 was Burt Hooton and number 41 was Jerry Reuss.

Great stuff. Wonderful storytelling. However, that is not Jerry Reuss at 3:21. Reuss was a southpaw. That was Hooton, then Reuss after. Prescient stuff though, especially being produced a year prior to his premature passing. Y'all did 34 PROUD !!!
