Oliver HAPPY being miserable. very old fashioned market , never seen one quite like it. March onwards and upwards, great to see kids enjoying themselves. Take care.
Came to your channel from the podcast FbF. Great content and great to hear more from Oliver. Never had an interest in farming previously and so the terminology is a little bit alien, if you could do a video on the terms and the meanings that would be amazing. Keep up the hard work and get Oliver to get infront of the camera more, makes me laugh. Me and my 7year old daughter are addicted to the channel now.
Hi Sam very good video again you do very well with working and looking after the little ones you be proud of yourself my girl and don't worry about what others say😊😊
at those prices i think your better off selling store lambs.......so long as your getting £90+. i think it partly depends on your farm cos your a hill farm you will struggle to fatten things without the cake bag and as you pointed out in earlier videos by the time you buy lorry loads of feed + straw etc there's not much gain. if you had a lowland farm and good quality grass and your own grain and straw might be a different story. i sell all my cattle as stores and you can send a whole load at once different sizes and condition straight off grass or silage in winter and its less hassle, go down the fattening route and your running around with 2or3 here and there as and when there ready but its adding to your work load for not much gain sometimes
hi sam how do you keep going your partner never gives you eney credit and he's always miserable what's the matter with the man and your so jolly and. so positive john
Do you have any predators? We have coyotes around, and our near neighbors have even had cougars. All the sheep and goat ranchers have to run their flocks with guardian dogs or donkeys. (Northern California)
I think you need to get them to 50kg live weight in your yard, when you get to the mart they will lose 2kg a head standing about, so 48kg should get you £130 quid a piece.
Your accounts for fattening lambs £13.60 a month is fair but your lambs is only worth £50/60 that you got last year , so after a month it cost £75 second month £ 90 that’s the break even price
The children are all brilliant, looks like Jim is a future kick boxer and Mabel is a proper little mum to her siblings. I love it how you let them get dirty and have fun! As for asking Oliver his opinion on the price for the lambs, I knew what he would reply before he opened his mouth! 😂 Another great video Sam x
@NicNac_Reselling they go up to XXL? If you would like bigger, just send me an email, on mh website and I can order you one no problem 😄😄 oooo jel of the boobs 🤣🤣

Yes if you watch my previous vid. I worked out what they had . Works out around 13.60 per lamb for them lambs prob bit more with being a week later. So back to £105.40

Price of lambs increased again this week in ireland
It’s sure is a sheep game
NZ farmers would be over the moon at those prices - they are getting 1/2 of what the UK farmers are getting with the exchange rate
We work in half weights over here in Northern Ireland
Your lovely even lambs made a good price on the day, maybe even best price per weight . Were they factory bought?
hi sam how do you keep going your partner never gives you eney credit and he's always miserable what's the matter with the man and your so jolly and. so positive john
We keep each other going 💪🫶
I think you’ve done well with them prices
I feel we have considering on the day. Everyone loves the beltex lambs don't they
Do you have any predators? We have coyotes around, and our near neighbors have even had cougars. All the sheep and goat ranchers have to run their flocks with guardian dogs or donkeys. (Northern California)
Oh wow! No not really foxes but not many in our area.
I think you need to get them to 50kg live weight in your yard, when you get to the mart they will lose 2kg a head standing about, so 48kg should get you £130 quid a piece.
If you can get near £90 straight off there mother's it's a no brainer selling store in my opinion (breed dependant though)
I agree! For our system yes .
you lots better by going to hawes which is nearest or dont you value your time and ware and tare by trailing the roads for a few extra pence
Well worth going to bentham 💪💪
Great lambs. Id take them to bentham next time, they were worth atleast £5 more IMO.
Yes bentham is the wayyy
Hi Sam, enjoyed that, Stick to lambs, it might cost you a bit to feed them, but it's a lot less than the kids cost you 😂😂......
Haha 🤣🤣 true
Found you on Fed by Farmers.
Welcome 😃😃

Another great video Sam x
Haha he was "thinking " when I filmed so bad timing 🤣🤣
Why don’t you factory the Lambs at that weights ?
Would they not make more in the factory
Here in Ireland
They’re making €7.60 a kilo in the factory.
It'd something to consider, we've never done it so would be something to try ! Cut out the middle man
Your Hoodies look sick 👌
Shame they don’t come in REALLY big sizes for my boobs & belly 😂
@NicNac_Reselling they go up to XXL? If you would like bigger, just send me an email, on mh website and I can order you one no problem 😄😄 oooo jel of the boobs 🤣🤣
You're a super Woman, but you're partner doesn't Appreciate you. Keep going 💪.You're a great girl 👧 xxx

Did those lambs get much ration ?
Yes if you watch my previous vid. I worked out what they had . Works out around 13.60 per lamb for them lambs prob bit more with being a week later. So back to £105.40
@@Sam-shutt Ah thanks for that was unsure if they were the same lambs !
Maybe would have done a touch better in Bentham?
Possibly will go bentham next time 😅
go deadweight, especially if ur feeding lambs, get paid for every kg regardless of breed
It's something we've never done before so may try it !!
Was Jimmy in a car seat ? He looked just to have a seat belt and not be in a child seat.
I popped the car seat it after I filmed 😄took it out day b4
Husband not very nice
I refer you to Fed by Farmers podcast and then decide.
