    Lol at the tiny scientist. In Argentina children in public schools since the 1900 or so use "guardapolvos" (white smocks, overall, lab coat idk). Private schools have their own uniform.

    Some explanations: Pedro had a restraining order from his ex-wife/kids because he had tried to commit m*rder/s*icide against his family via carbon monoxide poisoning, he failed, that's what caused their divorce. It is also implied that the ex-wife and his brother had an affair at some point, so maybe one or all of the children weren't his. And this is my own theory, but Pedro was subconsciously influenced by the evil almost the entire runtime, and ended up helping it be "born" that's why he was marked near the end, and why him and his brother survived. At the end he breaks down because he sh*t his own son for what happened to grandma, and now he has no attachments besides his brother so they're "free" to continue following and "helping" the evil spread, even against their will.

    Hey! argentinian here! I know it's been months! but I gotta say: ALL that people "know the lore" because all those rules and information about rotten and possesed are a reference to the old tales grandparents always tell to children in the countryside (That is a pretty strong part of our culture, basically we all have heard a similar story from our grandparents) the only characters that don't seem to know or care about al that "lore" are sabrina and her new husband, wha t means they may come from a big city, where these stories are not so common.
    Another details is: Uriel's family skin tone and accent contrasts with the rest of the characters, that's because they are native americans, or maybe not, but they may come from a part of the country where those characteristics are stronger, as well as these traditions.
    One extra detail: The kids have stains around their mouths and a terrible smell because they ate their teachers. One sign of the corruption of the rotten over the children is cannibalism, Almost all of them did it, Jar ate her mother, the native kid from the begginning of the movie ate his mother too, and these kids ate their teacher. The only one that didn't do it was the girl bitten by the dog.

      Cool insights. Regarding the lore of your culture with regards to the possessed, I was wondering if that was rooted in Catholicism/Christianity in your country, or did it pre-date it?

  • @hwheelez24
    @hwheelez24 21 день назад +1

    fun fact, this movie uses little to no cgi, pretty much all practical, like Uriel, the rotten pus blob, was a puppet that took 4 people to operate. also, supposedly the actor dog who played Roger, was so passive and lazy, he was almost impossible to train.

    the arc of pedro was that. he want to kill his son one time but he can´t, and long time after, the evil makes him to do it at the end. its amazing. Thanks for the reaction from Argentina

    I wonder if the last scene with the missing bullet was implying that his buddy had killed his autistic son while he was away? And that's why he broke down? Just the first thing that came to mind 😊🤔

    There are definitely muzzle flashes. That’s why snipers will lay on a table in a room on the other side of the room from the window often hanging a sheet that’s semi transparent . Only direct line of site can see the flash . It’s also why the US Army’s new assault rifles and M249’s all will be issued with suppressors , suppressors not only quite the shot but dicipate most of the muzzle flash. We’re finding in Ukraine that while the Russians on the front line trench’s aren’t using suppressors , at night they use Ukrainian muzzle fflashes in tree lines to know where the shot is fired from .

    Rewatching this movie through reactions, I'm starting to think the main character is actually being controlled by evil in the final school scenes. His actions are unjustifieable, even though he's a little stupid throughout the movie, his actions at the school are completely OUT.

    Where do pumas originate from?: they are native to the Americas. They are believed to have migrated to North America from South America around 10,000 years ago during the Pleistocene epoch.
    So yeah they are but very few unfurtanely
