Excellent real life review. I'm gonna get it.
👍
Nice review sir! My wife and I will be using this pack for the Outdoor Vitals 100 mile challenge. Love how it carries!
Right on! Thanks!
I’m doing the OV 100 challenge this year. How was your experience with the Shadowlight? Would you recommend it? I’m tithing about the 60L for the non-stop. Thanks in advance.
@@russmjones I am doing the challenge this year too :) I love my Shadowlight 60l. I find the external pockets very helpful for keeping my cook kit and other items readily accessible. The center zip access is a huge benefit for getting to my gear without having to unpack from the top to reach what I need. I really enjoy how it rides. I did swap the hip belt with the CS40 belt (can be purchased separately). The CS40 hip belt has dual straps for the closure rather than a single strap like the Shadowlight belt. Definitely recommend!
Great video! I too carry this pack and love it!
Right on! Thanks, glad you like it!
Great video! Need to try out more thing from outdoor vitals. Just got the sun hoodie and right now they have a free pillow deal ha
Good stuff! Thanks!
Loved your review. I also have a shadowlight, 45L thought and I love it. Like you I am also
Impressed with this small company and all their products.
Thanks! My backpack still looks newish even after a year of abuse.
they just put their logo on alibaba equipment lmao
Good video i own and enjoy this pack as well
Thank You!
Good review
Thanks
Excellent video. I bought the Rapid XL based off your review and am on my way to purchasing this pack. I truly feel you give unbiased reviews based on your own experiences. Have you had experience with this pack and a bear can? If not could you make a short with a can inside.
Thank you.
Thank You for your encouragement! I have used bear cans with this pack. At the beginning of the video, when you see me walking, there is a bear vault 500 in my backpack. I also have smaller bear cans that fit sideways in my backpack. drive.google.com/file/d/1H9nH_Io5b7J3a56oVW4T2L5t3fgPdJzu/view?usp=share_link
You could put your tent poles in one of the tall mesh pockets.
I can, but I tend to drop my backpack on the ground when I’m tired. It’s a bad habit and I am afraid i might break the poles. The back isn’t flat like the sides are.
Ordered mine today but the center zipper is trash when you need to add a pack liner to keep your gear waterproof. I'd rather a full mesh pocket so I can stuff a wet tarp down there or wet raingear. I went with the 60 because I am in Canada and also can't afford the super compact expensive sleeping bags. Thanks for the review.
I found that you’re right about having the bag liner in there. But I do really like the two separate pockets. I’ve had other backpacks with the one big pocket and I find it’s easier to organize stuff with two pockets. But there’s no right or wrong, they both have their pluses and minuses. So glad you watch the video. I hope you continue to watch my other videos!
❤
Thanks
Those two top side pockets just kinda strange though. Seems like they get in the way more then anything else.
I have their newer C40 ultralight, backpack and it doesn’t have those two top side pockets. I have found that I wish I had them on it. Those pockets are useful.
