This Pats fan finds it a strange kind of satisfying that the Buccaneers were the ones to get the Brady excellence and magic because even though you were stacked, without TB12, no one was picking you. Amen, he did y’all a solid! And as a Cowboys fan with a huge drought, get used to it, Pats fans. Magic doesn’t happen often and you’ve had more than your share.
Tom' 's speech afterward was just as important addressing life isn't about playing the victimhood but is hard work and it takes dedication and strength of character to move forward.
That ovation was over two minutes long and it brought tears to my eyes. I love that man and will be forever grateful for the Belichick era. I have to say, if there isn't a Bill Belichick statue right next to the Tom Brady one, it's CRIMINAL.
We may have 6 banners up there in the rafters, but the love that Randy Moss got on stage tells that even in the in between years for us, we had some of the best years of our life still. No team has yet to match our 16-0 regular season, and no has had as much the energy as Brady to Moss had since.

All put egos aside for the recognition - great!
Look, I’m a Baltimore Ravens fan and remember every time we got to play B.B and Brady during the regular season or having the chance to play them in one of the biggest games of the playoffs just to JUSTIFY that we didn’t get an “Off Year” and we beat the best to become the best! Besides whatever team Manning was playing or some other AFC Team that got hot at the right time once a few years it was always the SAME teams battling it out. B.B knew that John Harbaugh coming to Baltimore things were in a different era, but we were in for the long haul bc we have proven it year after year. I hated playing them every time, but CANNOT deny when you got to see greatness. Both of them were and are great and respect the heck out of both of them! Class act once again by Robert Kraft and most importantly class act by both B.B and Brady! Respect from Baltimore!
I’m glad Bill and Tom’s relationship is healing. It was sad to Terry have so much bitterness with the Steelers for a while. I think Bill was critical for the first three Super Bowls and Tom was more critical in the last three. Tom needed Bill because he gave a six round quarterback a chance, and stayed with him when Drew came back. Bill needed Tom because Tom allowed Bill to coach him hard…which allowed Bill to hold all the players to the same standard. Not a Patriots fan, but Tom became the Goat 🐐 in my eyes 👀 after he led his team to a victory over the Falcons in the Super Bowl.
I think we all made too much of the animosity. I’m not saying it wasn’t real, but… 1) The media loves a good story, so it naturally gets played up. 2) It’s sports. It’s a competition. Emotions are high when the animosity IS really going on. 3) The animosity also gets overplayed because of the whole narrative of “who gets credit for New England’s success”. Brady killed that in a beautiful way. (And, as an aside… he’s right. It wasn’t just the right thing to say. It was correct. Everyone now gives Brady the credit because Belichick struggled when Brady left. But Brady is likely not even a thing if Belichick isn’t there. People seem to forget that Bledsoe injury seasons. There were THREE times when Brady could’ve been sidelined. When Bledsoe went down Brady wasn’t even the backup. He was the third string. But I think Belichick liked Brady - it was HIS pick - and I think he sensed the seriousness of Bledsoe’s injury, so we go with the longer-term young guy than the patchwork older backup… second, when Bledsoe was ready to return, there was a huge QB controversy; Belichick stuck with Brady… third is when Brady wrenches his ankle in the Pittsburgh game and Bledsoe comes in and pretty much lays the hammer down - who starts the Super Bowl?; Belichick goes with Brady. Brady’s career is over before it starts were it not for Belichick. He would’ve been riding the pine in New England into his mid to late 20s before ever getting a shot. Without Belichick, there is no Brady. Without Brady, there is no Belichick. So, Brady wasn’t just being dignified and saying the right thing for the moment. He was being honest. It was beautiful.)
