    What size screw did you use?

    • @bzeug
      @bzeug  7 месяцев назад +3

      The length of the threads is 7mm, the diameter of the threads is 2.9mm, the diameter of the cap on the head is 7.5mm. I don't know where I got the screws. They might be RC servo screws but I don't remember where I got them.

    Thanks for the update! Another little mod you can make is that the 813 R screwdriver will fit well if you slightly drill out the end where the screwdriver bitholder end sits.

    Thanks I’m an appliance and hvac service tech and I’ve had my tool check plus for about three years and I have the button and I love it. Thanks for the idea of adding an extra socket, I have the sae set.

    I have the older one with the button and I have had no problems with it. This newer one is obviously of inferior quality regarding the holder.
    Great review

    Great informative video as always. I bought this bycicle set a year ago and it is exactly the same, no button, and it is bigger, the bits have a little more space between them, compared with the older tool check that I have. I like the little organizer for the ratchet and bits. I also have one with the little screwdriver and bits. The construction of the new tool check is not that great, but it never comes apart like this.
    I use this set with a little torque wrench, I like the ball end hex bits. But I think the older version with a locking button is discontinued. It's a good set for the shop. I have the wera bicycle set 5 stubby screwdriver with stainless steel bits which I carry on the road.

    For me the main problem with Bicycle Set 3 is that 15mm nut driver is unusable with Shimano Alfine/Nexus - it is too shallow.

    • @dannovikov2977
      @dannovikov2977 7 месяцев назад

      Are you talking about nuts with round ends? Regular sockets won't do the job anyway, you can buy a full car socket set with wrenches for a 100$, there is usually a long 15 socket inside

    Notice how the socket labels are not aligned to be a constant offset from the pin, such that you cannot attach the sockets with the labels all in the same orientation. Have emailed Wera support several times about this issue and never gotten a response. Surprised because I was under the impression Wera had good customer service.

      The new version can stand opened on a flat ground so it’s more comfortable to take the bits.
      The belt clip had to move for this too.
      You can glue two small magnet plates which are very thin (available online) and glue it on the back of the tool check and one the movable back of the second bit row. So it holds very good.

      Then you need additional adapter from 1/4" hex to 1/4" square if you plane to use them at the same time (one for rachet and one for handle). I also came to this idea, but what is with 13, 8, 6 mm sockets? Sollution is to have Knipex 8603125 and use space for another socket size instead of duplicating just one size.
