I believe the concerns around windows suspend is that windows is a busybody and some games (many more than steam deck) dont fare well being hibernated while in use and can screw up aspect ratio or crash whereas steamdeck seems a much more stable system to suspend from (which i believe is why valve chose linux for gaming because no bloated background processes). Good to see its working for the most part on Ally

@@savtechreviews What he said , wish you tested more games, so many games don't fare well being suspended in windows because the feature was not made with certain 3d applications in mind, the fact that some resume flawlessly on Windows is a miracle for me as i have many more that don't, 2d games seem to work without a hitch tbf.

@@savtechreviews Hi, could you please try quick resume on EAFC 24 ?
I'm afraid with EA app and EA anticheat, it might crash. But this is THE game I want to play the most if I buy a rog ally 😁

surprisingly enough mine does not - leave it for a 5 days at home during the short trip and it woke up just as expected with around 70% battery remained.

They both last a good amount for me on standby. The ally can do surprisingly well if you put it into hibernate.

9 watts (Ally) versus 3 watts (Steamdeck)
Not really a fair comparison for draining a battery 😂

The Ally doesn't go lower than that, this is comparing how long each would last in the lowest power mode. It would be interesting to make a comparison at the same wattage.

@@savtechreviews you should do one comparison in 10W on both consoles. another comparison of both at 15W (The max TDP of the steamdeck). Finally, get the battery time of the ROG Ally at 30W.
