    Yes! A longer video! Beautiful tank. You know what I appreciate is the "raw" footage, for example taking off the skimmer cup and having difficulty and not editing it like magic. Real life isn't edited, nice to see you also face the same annoyances we do in this hobby haha.

    As always, thanks for taking us on your journey! Relocating a tank is already stressful enough but filming on top of it!? Hats off!

      Thanks! The hardest part was I lost the use of the passenger seat in the ute for tank gear! I usually put the fish barrel in there with the seatbelt afoot, however this time I had the camera-man instead! Cam

    • @TheChemisch
      @TheChemisch 5 лет назад

      @@GalleryAquaticaTV luckily I'll only be moving about 10-15 minutes away. I wouldn't imagine the pump would be needed for such a short distance. but I think I'm going to purchase a barrel like that to transport a good portion of my tank water with my fish. Something big enough to be able to throw a a heater and pump in there so I won't have to rush when I get to my new location.

    Another great video cam have ever broken a tank on a relocation job? Thanks again

    • @GalleryAquaticaTV
      @GalleryAquaticaTV  5 лет назад +1

      Hi Jeff, no I have never broken a tank during a relocation. It’s my worst nightmare of course, and with the number of relocations I do I’ve always assumed it will happen one day. I’m less inclined to accept relocations of dodgy custom aquariums these days, so that probably decreases my chances of a tank break disaster. Cam

    In such a small tank how were the two tangs not fighting

    • @GalleryAquaticaTV
      @GalleryAquaticaTV  4 года назад

      Tang dynamics varies massively from tank to tank. It’s difficult to say exactly how tangs will get along, however the bigger the tank the easier it is to mix them. I do generally find a yellow and a purple tang will be ok together in 400L as long as they aren’t big fish. These ones were quite small/young fish and they got along great. Cam

    How long would you keep corals and fish stored in the method you bagged them at the beginning of the episode?

    • @GalleryAquaticaTV
      @GalleryAquaticaTV  5 лет назад

      We could have kept the fish and coral bagged and packed like that for maybe 48 hours. We have done relocations from Brisbane to as far away as Sydney, which is a 12 hour drive. Obviously we try to minimise the transit time, but definitely longer periods are possible. Cam

    Nice job. Won't the tank have mini cycle ? Your new water is actually a matured? .
    I'm planning to upgrade my tank and I use salt , I'm gonna use a the water I have and and big amount of new water. Will they be a cycle?

    • @TheChemisch
      @TheChemisch 5 лет назад

      Probably not noticable unless you over feed the tank for the first week or so. But given it was a bare bottom tank most of the nitrifying bacteria probably remained intact in the live rock. Not an expert, just my opinion.

    • @sanjaykumar-en6mb

      Yes I have bare bottom nano . Want to upgrade it

    • @GalleryAquaticaTV
      @GalleryAquaticaTV  5 лет назад

      We should hopefully avoid the mini-cycle with the way we’ve done the move. Brandon is totally right, it’s all about being conservative with feeding for the week or 2 following. Cam

    Hi Cam! Question, when you do these relocations is it common to expect some die off from the corals? Have you had to move some that just would not acclimate after the move? Just curious. Love the channel by the way, watching from Phoenix Az USA

    • @GalleryAquaticaTV
      @GalleryAquaticaTV  5 лет назад

      It’s actually very rare that we sustain losses caused by a relocation. Everything we do is to improve the chances of the livestock surviving the move. Cam
