Jesus, the guests are just getting better..Stoner booked for next week and Rossi the week after is it?? Great interview..Jonny's a legend! Such a shame he didn't go to Motogp. Such a down to earth chap!
Well done Keith & team OMG, great interview with the legend that is JR. Hopefully the improved R1 & JR will click & podiums & fighting for the wins will be on the cards in 2025.
Once agin OMG steals a march on the competition. In Keith's hands Rea comes over as a smart, wily and driven competitor with a very human and likeable side. Keep them coming guys!
Funny, I never really think of things the other way around 😛 But. I’m doing a show with Bertie Simmonds the host, (he knows me quite well), at the Stirrup Cup pub in April next year. Maybe we’ll film it for OMG MotoGP?
@@KeithHuewen16 Honoured by the reply, Keith. I have loved your commentary since I was a kid, for me you are the voice of motorcycle racing (along with Julian). Yeah, would be realing interesting to watch the show and listen to your insights from the "old days." Seeing how the sport has evolved in my lifetime has made me more interested in what it was like before. All the best and keep up the great work.
JR's School of Champions! Has a good ring to ot! Kreps you on a bike to have fun and make money at the same time. People would love to learn some riding/racing tips from you.
I really like JR as a person. He seems like such a regular guy that just happens to ride motorbikes really really really fast. Great interview. How many months ago was this done? Seems like mid-season and it's Nov now...
Interesting that Johnnys boys dont really like bikes that much. Its something you cant really control, what we'll end up liking. My father for example likes surfing and voleyball, tho he doesnt practice those much, but he didnt push any sport to me, specially not motorsports. Idk why but Ive just loved cars and bikes since I was a kid, even tho I never rode a bike. Im brazilian, so naturally I played a bit of football when I was a kid, enjoyed a bit, but never loved it and now I couldnt care less for it. Anyway great to see Johnny on the pod, huge fan of his
A 7th and 8th was great going. The current gap between the two series means that such a result would be nigh on impossible now (as witnessed with iannone). Even if he was not to have got a factory ride back then (and I know the gaps between the factory and non factory bikes was larger in those days) surely he would have impressed enough to hold a ride somewhere and eventually land a good ride. Hell of a career though and still fast enough to win another wsbk title with the right package.
Would it also be fair to say that after he won a couple of world titles, he could have landed a ride somewhere/anywhere on the moto gp grid (and arguably a more competitive grid versus the early '10s)? I think we often look at, perhaps incorrectly, as if it was repsol honda or bust.
@@david_new46 At that time gap between factory bikes and private bikes was huge. In San Marino Rea finished 8th, 43 seconds behind winner Lorenzo and 37 seconds behind best Honda (Bautista, Dani crashed). Today with +43 seconds you are last, 15 seconds behind Luca Marini and Augusto Fernandez. And in Aragon Rea finished 7th, 32 seconds behind Pedrosa on same bike. When Simoncelli won his 250cc title Aprilia gived him a WC for WSBK Imola race. In second race Simoncelli finished 3rd, only 5 or 6 seconds behind the winner on Ducati. MotoGP is premium class and a class above WSBK. Yes, Bayliss won that last race in Valencia as WSBK rider 2006 but that was because of Bridgestone tyres , other teams were with Michelin.
It really doesn’t make any sense. Why everyone in Ireland. Doesn’t eat seafood and know everything about seafood, considering that it’s basically an island surround by the Atlantic

Holy $#!+ that's a heck of a line up for November 🤜🤛🏾
You shouldn't be using the Lords name in vain.
@fivedotsdave9723 Which Lord are you talking about? Stoner or Rossi?
Just amazing how JR's face lights up when he talks about his kids.
Top bloke, great sportsman & fantastic father.
He's even getting into football. 😂
What a brilliant, open and honest interview…thanks Keith and Johnathan 🎉
Great interview, great to see the person being interviewed getting the time to speak, first class.
Johnny is a legend, decent dude too. Good interview.
Comes across as a genuine, honest top humble multiple world champion. 👍

JR is such an awesome guy.
Hello Johnny!
Jr is a top bloke I just hope 2025 he get back on podium 🤞
I think Honda should adopted you after riding the rcv211v in Aragon some years ago.
BS and ego are not a feature of JR a very humble bloke.

Moto GP lost out on Jonathan rea

One of the greatest riders of all time.. his difficulties only go to show just how good MM is.
At last featuring an exciting motorbike formula.
Enjoyed this but was hoping for another 10/15 minutes more ..
Johnny will find a way he never gives up 😊
No, his time is over.
He lost his cofidence already with Kawasaki in 2023 and it's very hard to find that congidence again with new team at age 37.
Top lad, can't be easy having to limp the bike around given previous successes, but hopefully he can be back up the front regularly in 2025
So this was recorded “halfway through the season”?
The weathers pants in Irelande del North...☘️👍
Wet pants.
Amazing so glad I watched Honda missed out big time there loss maybe need Jr on Honda superbike if they get it good enough
Was he tempted to go Ducati after all that’s the best bike for the last few years
Just wondering what JR could do with a Ducati. Give the guy something he can fight with
Just a thought
