Because ppl set the bar too high for him. Because, well, he was the one who set the bar soo high in 2019. Sheer dominance that pretty impossible in todays era. Hopefully Martin can go well at aprillia and start asking questions to Ducati. And then there’s Acosta, although he’s been crashing out a lot don’t forget he’s a teenager and next season I imagine he’ll be a little less impetuous .
I personally think Acosta is only crashing for the same reason Marc has(the few times he did) this season. Trying to make inferior machinery compete at the same level. His riding style looks so smooth to me. I think if he was on a Ducati, he would be up there.
Something most people don’t really realize is that, when times are separated by tenths of a second over 75+ miles, “small differences” in anything can and do account for winning.
Yep. Explains why there have been 3 different champions for the past 4 seasons…and it was almost 4 different riders if Martin had pulled it off last year.
You have to add one more thing. This is a bike that doesn't have much front end. It is very rear dominant. I think it was Australia where I was looking at slow motion shots and the rear was pushing the front out wide so much. Martin's 24 was bang on line. It is the antithesis of how Marc rides a motorcycle. Be very afraid.

Marc is just too good. I can see him getting back to back championship in 2025-2026 before the rule change. Even if the other manufacturers somehow catching up thr Ducati he would make it up with his skill
in last six races marc marquez was so strong compare to others in japan and indhonesia also, we unlucky miss even better results. He definitely had the pace to win in japan If took that pole position without getting warning, also in indnosia also he had chance to fight for podium but he missed bcs that bike. if had good results in this 2 races he will be at least 25 to 30 points closer to championship fight. also, I think marc will be strong on next 3 races also...
Marquez is definitely the talent to beat however the Ducati is not the Honda he used to have, his age is not the same and his will to take useless risks is not the same considering all the injuries he went through.
*@**3:01** I don't think Simon is correct. All GP23 riders said the rear tire is pushing the front too much meaning it has more grip on rear(Mechanical grip + this year's rear tire) essentially it was built for last year's tire which had less grip on the rear.*
i can appreciate marc marquez and i do believe he will beat pecco to the 25 championship, however implying he crashed out at cota because he "is capable of producing too much brake force for the old braking system" is absolute rubbish
Pecco rides the ducatti like its designed. Like a robot putting it perfectly on line every lap. W/ its hp itll win. Now yes thats a simplification but its how it is. So next year on gp25 Pecco's introuble. Mm93 has that 10% of feel on edge of grip that only the RAREST talents doo. Acosta, toprak etc etc
What ever the cause is but, it's fact this year Marc could have been equal at the level of Martin and Pecco. All this caused due to him being too much throwing many races where he could have been on the podium but, falling like he was riding Honda. If those falls were saved and he finished those races he could have been between Martin and Pecco. Today, I watched the Malaysia race where MM93 was running on the 3rd and falls which is exactly he does in the previous race where he falls loosing the 2nd position. Marc has the level to push more then anyone can but, he has developed a bad habit of falling in the podium contention races which is making me as a MM93 fan feeling worse as many time he makes us feels great that he's back in some races and immediately in the next races he just falls or slows down. MM93 you make me feel bad for today's race 😢
I think he is just limit testing a lot at the moment. I dont think his goal has been to be a title contender in 2024 (in the first races i think he wanted to be, but later not anymore). he knew he will have a 2025 ducati next year, so i think he just tried to adapt as much as possible to the ducati rididng style and then limit tested everything out of it. thats also why he fell so much, because he was going for the limit so he knows how to ride next year. Thats just what i think he was doing, because normally he should be smart enough to not go for the limit with safe points. also to mention that he did not even had the top-spec gp23, he had a worse version that pecco had last year. and still he was able to do all that stuff with it. If he can continue riding like that he will be a pain in the ass for pecco next year for sure
you also have to keep in mind that Peco and Martin are truly great riders you can't just take there times and say the GP24 is 0.4 faster you have to compare all the GP24 bikes with all the GP23 bikes
Pecco is not the kind of spectacular rider who can dominate the sport. When things click for him he can get it done. But I can't see him fight for a title when everything doesn't go his way. I'm sure his approach has been helpful for Ducati to make the bike better, because he is kind of a normal rider. But when push comes to shove MM is going to beat him quite easily.
idk he is at least brave/crazy as he is talented....that will either make him king again once on gp 25? Or I fear destroy his life....He does not even need to do it either I mean other dudes would consider it the lifetime goal acheived to be crowned motogp champ even a single time but he has done it multiple times not to mention lesser championships. And its not like he could not earn millions a year for several more years just as top 10 rider....Personally I think he is a bit whacko part of me wants to see him do it and the other feels guilty wanting to see it ya know? Enjoy watching guys destroy their bodies to entertain us? Not just moto GP of course there are worse things
Marc is consistently reminding us why he is arguably the best rider we’ve ever seen on two wheels. Let’s not forget how many years he rode over the problems with Honda until the injury!
Even the bookies thought after Valencia test in November 2023 that Marc is title favorit because GP21 and GP22 were so competitive in 2022 and 2023. Marc was 2,0 fav to win the title, Pecco 2,8 and Martin 4,0. Everybody was like "If Enea can win 4 races with year old bike (2022) and Bezecchi can win 3 races (2023) than Marc can win 7+ races with old bike". But Ducati made big steps with GP24 and that's why GP23 has 0 chance to win the title. Bezecchi,DiGa and Alex have COMBINED 2 podiums , two 3rd places, that says everything about GP23.
So weird to see these guys talking. I have been listening to them for years. Cant remember when I found the podcast 3 maybe 4 years ago.I truly cant square the people i am seeing with voices I am so used to. But oh so glad to have video content now as well as the pod.
Here's one point of parallel comparison: This season, Marquez has been as good as Bastianini was in 2022 (on a year-old bike, winning multiple races & regularly fighting for podium), eventually leading to the same outcome in both cases: a promotion to the factory Ducati team.
He is good as his bike is. He can dominate in 2025 but, even he is a great rider, it is the bike See Bagnaia, above average rider on the best bike, two time champ. Marquez will eat him alive next year in the Factory team For me, last true champ, a great rider on a not the best bike, was Quartararo in 2021...
Right now MotoGP isn't as popular as it was but a day will start watching next year for sure and the election going on but M&M is pretty close to being like CC in a woman's basketball league true fast just can't wait till the next race because he's only getting better and better and when he gets the best bike he's going to be untouchable😂😂😂😂❤❤❤ number 9 coming soon to a theater near you 👑👑👑👑👑👑👑
A detail that some people are missing, at WDW this past year Pecco and Marc were on the same machinery, and Marc lost. I'm not saying it's a direct correlation to what is likely to happen next season, but I wouldn't fully discount it either. Ducati makes their bikes to be useable by multiple riders, not just one. So we'll see how they stack up next year on the next iteration of the Desmosedici.
That's not the MotoGP championship one race can't define the comparison between riders if it then Marc has more championship then pecco with superior points , bro I don't think you're watching MotoGP
@@ajoysonam8309 I do watch, both riders have been inconsistent and crashed more often this year than either should. Earlier this year they were on track with the same spec bike, with their teams on hand, and Marc was middle of the pack while on the same bike. Could Marc have been sand bagging it? Maybe, but I doubt his ego and competitiveness would allow for that. All of this is to say that next year is not the guarantee that many are assuming it to be for Marc. Are the expectations there? Of course, but championships aren’t won on expectations. Another comparison, Rossi came back from a down stint at Ducati, and how was the rest of his career? He challenged for but never won another title. Marc MIGHT be in for a similar reality, only time will tell.
Bagnaia only won his second championship because Marquez crashed Martin off the track and as yet, there has been no investigation into the incident and we never even got to see any real footage of it! Someone needs to look into it from outside the sport!

In '23 it wasn't a new bike/old bike thing. The '23 bike was difficult to ride all year. The '22 bike was more rider friendly. All of the '23 bike riders this year, would be more competitive on the '22 bike vs the '24 bikes. Pecco is right though, it is kind of ridiculous that a Factory bike is equal to Satellite bikes, there should be a step in the spec. Martin is literally downgrading from a Satellite bike to a Factory bike next year and Viñales is happily moving from a Factory bike to a Satellite bike, for some headless reason. Mir's manager refused anything, but a factory bike when Suzuki left and now he's stuck at Honda when he could have been at Trackhouse Aprila and in a box seat for the Factory Aprilia. Next year every manufacturer will essentially have 4 factory bikes. Only Honda and Yamaha should even be able to do that, with their concessions.
He’s basically profited off everyone’s mistakes. He hasn’t binned it as much as everyone else competing for 3-6. He’s over with and will def not be champion again. Not to mention the stench of his Ducati seat and his history as a championship interferer. Everything about his desire to sit on the most dominant bike or he can’t win attitude goes contrary to say Rossi leaving Honda for the clearly inferior Yamaha. He’s just more political douche than anything else these days is Marc.
Next year Bezz is gone, Enea is gone, Jorge is gone. No matter who wins, its a joke. All of the competition has been eliminated. The biggest loss of talent and competition from one season to the next, in MotoGP history.
Did anybody force Martin, Enea or Bezzecchi to leave Ducati? No, they did it on their own and for the fans it’s even better news to have competitive riders on the other manufacturer bikes but some yellow cryers like you, will find a problem everywhere, even if it’s not present.
Jorge riding a GP24 has same wins as Marc, and he is up there with Pecco mainly because of the 7 DNF's pecco had. What did Enea do for 2 years on Factory Ducati? 2023 season was much like Frankie is now. This year isn't much better either because he is fighting with Marc for 3rd in Championship, who is riding a year old GP23 for a 3rd tier Ducati satelite team. And it doesn't look like he will finish ahead of Marc in this battle. Where is Bezz this year? Did he finish ahead of Marc atleast in one race? I mean, we have had 34 races this season but i don't think he finished ahead of Marc even once. Hell, Bezz is getting beaten up by Diggia, who will have a GP25 next season. So its actually better than this year. None of the riders are on the level of Marc! And they are never going to be his competition on same machinery. His body isn’t going to hold up to crashes like it did in 2015. At this point he had a lot of wear & tear and he needs to ride with maturity now that he is dealing with age and past injuries.
I seem to remember Pecco being very vocal that their should be a performance advantage for the new bike. He was pissed that be was getting beaten by his old bike. He made sure that didn't happen this year.
Nah, it wasn't necessarily about new or old, it was Lenovo vs Pramac. Factory rider used to mean something, now it's just bragging rights.
Because ppl set the bar too high for him. Because, well, he was the one who set the bar soo high in 2019. Sheer dominance that pretty impossible in todays era.
He is more or less a messi in motorsport world. Nobody with right mind can say he is average. We can argue that martin or pecco are indeed average because they rode the best machinery on the grid. While marc with lesser machinery, in his rookie year riding duc, with satelite team, able to win races as many as martin.
I just hope he is healthy not injured or anything. We need him atleast 5 more years until we found another alien (acosta or alonso maybe) to arise. I dont see motogp will be better without him. It will be downfall only, because theres no drama. Theres no great overtaking. Everybody just shaking hands in the end. And riding without taking a risk on the track. Remember motegi?. Super boring race.
I'd pecco and martin slightly above average. They did beat bastianini and morbidelli by large margin. Bastianini is somewhat good too
This upload made VR46 crying, it is true though
Whys that Rossi has done more for moto gp than MM93 will ever do and Rossi is still doing it bringing on young racers at his ranch etc. And im not a Rossi fan BUT appreciate what he's doing for the sport not just taking. So please don't involve Rossi in your pathetic posts
@@brianbowers-x9q Rossi is still hitting on MM, he can't let it go, so I make fun of him
Year 2005: Rossi pushes Sete Gibernau out of the curve, injures his shoulder and on top of that he puts a pimp in the pen and in the press conference. 2005: John Hopkins starts to stand out a bit with his Suzuki, is becoming quite regular and achieves several podiums and poles. In Sachsenring's trainings he has an unfortunate accident and leaves his teeth literally splattered on the asphalt; they have to place dental pieces. What does Valentino do weeks later? He wears a denture to mock his rival and put psychological pressure on him. Time later Hopkins isn't the same again, he falls into a depression and ends up an alcoholic. 2006, Malaysia: Rossi wins the race, Pedrosa is injured from the previous grand prix due to a fall; has injured knee and ankle. Upon reaching the podium, Pedrosa looks sore. What's Rossi doing? He goes for a chair, passes Pedrosa over the hill, gets to his podium position and puts it there. He takes Capirossi and puts it on top of him, for more inri and mock Pedrosa, who can hardly stand on his feet. 2008: Makes Stoner an illegal interior, gets in the inside of the curve, and isn't punished for it. Then he plays with it and before the final corner slows down the pace, Stoner has to brake abruptly and ends up on the ground. 2010, Motegui: touches Lorenzo, almost runs him off the track and makes him stamp against the wall. Almost cost him the World Cup. 2011 Jerez: Pulls Stoner. The commissioners aren't helping Stoner, they're all going to push Rossi. "Your ambition outweighs your talent," Stoner says as he finishes his race. 2015, Malaysia: Mother of Marranades. Don't be fooled by the Moto GP fanatic.

Marc WILL be 2025 champion.
Something most people don’t really realize is that, when times are separated by tenths of a second over 75+ miles, “small differences” in anything can and do account for winning.
Certainly...!
unless ducati gives MM a crap bike en 2025 Pecco is done, this is not Martin or Enea
They are missing Data for the sprint as they don't have any record of Marc on the ducati on any tracks
Ducati said before the season that the GP24 was untouchable. Looking forward to seeing Marquez unlock the full potential of the GP25.

Agree if Marc had a 24 bike he'd be fighting for the championship this year.
@@Atlas302 and last year it was "if Marc was on a Ducati he would win every race." Yet .. now, we are back to blaming the bike. Exactly like the last 4 Honda years. always "if" and "would"

The dude on the left, the one putting questions, has to respect one of the all time greats Marc a bit more than he seems to in this video.
What do you mean "you might not see that much of a difference" between the number of points achieved by GP23/GP22 and GP24/GP23, it is a 65% increase. The difference is huge, considering last year they had Marini in the GP22 team instead of Marc, and that Marc is the one who achieved near half of the GP23 points. Really good clip by the way. Let us all hope Aprilia and KTM make a huge step next year or otherwise I fear it's going to be a bit... boring.
Chips on the table here… He’ll dominate and will have the championship wrapped with 3/4 rounds to go. Verstappen 2023 levels of dominance.
Dominance without the cheating of course
pretty impossible tbh 4 gp means 148 pts
@manuelitosfnbr He won by 151 points in 2019.
not likely even with the ducati i dont think anyone can dominate like that because even the ducati is not THAT MUCH better than others..RedBull last year was a complete rocketship with no car being even close, while ducati has dominated aswell, its practically impossible even for the one of the goats such as Marc to do it..I would love to be proven wrong but i dont think thats the case
Only rider from the Lorenzo , Rossi , pedrossa , marquez Era
King 👑💖💖
Great video. Next season is going to be pretty darn awesome i must day
I think Pecco might improve throughout the course of the 2025 season. Respect to Bastianini; but, If Pecco is paired with a teammate that is constantly pushing him to the edge of the limit, Pecco should improve as a rider. I think Marc will be the favorite into 2025 and I'm excited to see how much Marc can really push the factory Ducati.
I think that’s the most underrated part that no one is talking about. I think Pecco will learn from Battling with Marc.
@@willbrower1708 I don't think you can 'learn' what MM does. None of his other teammates have. They can look at his data now... nobody is learning anything.
Even with just valencia spec GP23, I think Marc can fight for the championship.
He came in when some of the best racers ever were in their prime, he retired Rossi and Stoner.
2025 Marc gonna be extremely scary.
Respect to the other competitors but none of them can hold a candle to Marc
Marc is phenomenal
I also think the gp24 benefits suit marcs style so that .4 difference could be even more in his hands
Yea , GP 24 has more front which will suit his natural instinct. Bangaya will see completely different braking points next year 😂
Well,
Let’s hope that Ducati25 doesn’t go Honda on Marc and become unridable …. 🫤
When are we going to see Matt in a video? I love Val and Simon, you boys are great on the podcast (especially Simon with his unintentional background sound haha), but where's the host??
Real legend, youngest world champion , most winner in 1 session
I'm wondering how much the fact that MM93 is the first time on a Ducati whereas all other riders have come from a pre-year spec Ducati?
I can't imagine what motogp would be like with mm93, he is truly the last of the superstar figures. Maybe FQ might become that in the future, but can't see FB being that.
Only marc able to prove to gigi and others that even with old machinery in his first year with ducati he still able to beat the very best of the best bike gigi create and rider ducati have..its mesmerising to see it 🎉❤
The only reason why Pecco Bagnaia won the first two championships is the bike. No one else had a bike that was even close. Is he a good rider? Yes but if all the other guys had equal bikes, Pecco never would've won those championships
2022, Jack Miller had the same bike, he didn't won the championship and Yam's still not as shit as nowadays
2023 there's 4 bikes that excatly same as Pecco, yet he won the championship with 7 races win that year.
Love Simon's analysis
If only Honda didn’t mess up
Awesome, really interesting clip. I'd appreciate it more if you could also make a caption in English. As someone who's not a native English speaker, it's a bit tough for us to understand the automatic closed captions from RUclips.
Marc is just too good. I can see him getting back to back championship in 2025-2026 before the rule change. Even if the other manufacturers somehow catching up thr Ducati he would make it up with his skill
The Race also covers MotoGP. Great!
Great conversation
Nonsense. Peacock already up there and martin
Just come across your channel , great content 👍🏻
in last six races marc marquez was so strong compare to others in japan and indhonesia also, we unlucky miss even better results.
He’s second highest on the list of crashers for the season
*@**3:01** I don't think Simon is correct. All GP23 riders said the rear tire is pushing the front too much meaning it has more grip on rear(Mechanical grip + this year's rear tire) essentially it was built for last year's tire which had less grip on the rear.*
i can appreciate marc marquez and i do believe he will beat pecco to the 25 championship, however implying he crashed out at cota because he "is capable of producing too much brake force for the old braking system" is absolute rubbish
MM slobberfest. Gross journalism
Pecco to me feels like an evolution of Dovi, so once Marc has equal machinery under him, health willing it's game over
Simon talks complete sense
Pecco rides the ducatti like its designed. Like a robot putting it perfectly on line every lap. W/ its hp itll win. Now yes thats a simplification but its how it is. So next year on gp25 Pecco's introuble. Mm93 has that 10% of feel on edge of grip that only the RAREST talents doo. Acosta, toprak etc etc
2025 looks so far
If he can continue riding like that he will be a pain in the ass for pecco next year for sure
you also have to keep in mind that Peco and Martin are truly great riders you can't just take there times and say the GP24 is 0.4 faster you have to compare all the GP24 bikes with all the GP23 bikes
cant hear properly, tat guy whispering
I (foolishly?) thought he’d be more of a title threat this year. But the GP24 is a beast
Not foolish at all. If the same scenario happened a year ago, we may have 3 way title battle.
He had a chance this year but a lot of strange issues and crashes. Next year he will be a massive favourite
So weird to see these guys talking. I have been listening to them for years. Cant remember when I found the podcast 3 maybe 4 years ago.I truly cant square the people i am seeing with voices I am so used to. But oh so glad to have video content now as well as the pod.
Marc extracts the most out of the 23 bike just compare his times with his brother Alex on the same bike
Marc"s dominance can bore fans, pecco probably after 2025
At least he will have a more competitive bike next year. He has just as much chance as any other top rider.
Here's one point of parallel comparison: This season, Marquez has been as good as Bastianini was in 2022 (on a year-old bike, winning multiple races & regularly fighting for podium), eventually leading to the same outcome in both cases: a promotion to the factory Ducati team.
Has bastianini won the championship. It's about the class that differentiates the riders
I'm sure Prosecco Bagnaia is already having nightmares about MM93
MARC MARQUEZ, THE BEST, MOST EXCITING RACER WITHIN MOTOGP! SIMPLY, THE BEST
He is good as his bike is. He can dominate in 2025 but, even he is a great rider, it is the bike
See Bagnaia, above average rider on the best bike, two time champ. Marquez will eat him alive next year in the Factory team
For me, last true champ, a great rider on a not the best bike, was Quartararo in 2021...

Too short.
Bagnaia only won his second championship because Marquez crashed Martin off the track and as yet, there has been no investigation into the incident and we never even got to see any real footage of it!

A crippled marc about to end the next generation 😂
He’s basically profited off everyone’s mistakes. He hasn’t binned it as much as everyone else competing for 3-6. He’s over with and will def not be champion again. Not to mention the stench of his Ducati seat and his history as a championship interferer. Everything about his desire to sit on the most dominant bike or he can’t win attitude goes contrary to say Rossi leaving Honda for the clearly inferior Yamaha. He’s just more political douche than anything else these days is Marc.
Lucky for him the KTM is the fastest bike next year 💯
Bagnaia's a clown, next year his luck runs out.
They are gone. Doesn't matter why. The other bikes can't win. All competition gone.@@maciejrutkowski638
I think that was another master stroke by MM93. In getting the factory seat he’s eliminated almost all the competition
So your points have no value, and doesn't hold water.
