  • In 1943, Marine Corps 1st Lieutenant James Swett singlehandedly destroyed seven enemy bombers and became an ace in his first combat. For his service, James Swett received the Congressional Medal of Honor. Moments of Valor is produced in partnership with the Congressional Medal of Honor Foundation.     I used to shovel snow for Jim as a teenager. I'll remember his stories forever.

      I’m his Great Grandson, and watching these videos makes me wish he was around a little longer because he died when I was 2 or so.
