VERY tempted by this And p.s., there is an effect for drowning out building works. Put a noise gate onto your mic (in settings} PPS - Rode told me it can run off a battery. A 15v battery Really enjoyed the cast - thank you
You have exhausted almost all info I searched about this rodecaster. Thanks a lot. See you around, here watching da ROMA con AMOR! One thing: if I do sing Live Stream in RUclips could it add me more cool broadcasting music by my natural voice with a little added reverb & echoe?
Question: There is a technical rumor that the caller, the guest on mix-minus, cannot hear various sounds the other guests will hear. So, for example, if an audio clip is being played, say, they will not hear it. It this true?
I got mine today and I referred to those gargantuan cards as: the world’s largest user manual for the legally blind. I thought they were posters at first
Awesome video guys. Kris - looking at the back, can you use it with speakers and record the audio? Thinking if you were live podcasting in a venue/event and wanted the audience present to hear what was being said. Also, could you use it for the audio on a live stream?
Hey Mark, Yes, there is a separate monitor out should you wish to run speakers too, so using it for a live event wouldn't be an issue. For live streaming, yep sure thing, you'd just need to input the output of the Rodecaster Pro into whatever device you are using to live stream. Cheers! KH
It would be great if you demoed a VOIP and the mini jack input, apparently it's much higher quality than the Bluetooth and not one reviewer has done this yet. Great video by the way guys.
@@WexPhotoVideo YEs I would love to see VOIP. Only thing I don't like is that call quality from the phone. Also using a voip service to pass sound back to it would be cool. Great vid. I'm def subbing😀
Thank you for this fantastic review! Q. Can you have a caller call in to your Podcast with the RODECaster Pro? I see that you are able to make calls out but can you receive calls as well?
As long as your phone is connected via Bluetooth before you start, you should be able to answer a call mid podcast and bring them in. Cheers for watching! KH
Hi, this was a great video, but what I was really interested in was the rode podmic. How do you think it preforms, does it compare to the rode procaster. I have been torn between the procaster and the podmic, any thoughts.
Hey, I can only comment on the Podmic's as I haven't used the Procaster mics before. To me the Podmics look to be a revamp of the Procaster, which are a few years old now. They have very similar spec, but the Podmics do look to have a slightly better frequency range. Off the back of this video, we'll be buying some Podmics for our regular content use. Cheers! KH
@@WexPhotoVideo thank you so much for responding, I think I will go with the podmic since it is cheaper and like you said the procaster is a few years old. Thx for your thoughts.
@@WexPhotoVideo Awesome review! :) I've heard from several reviews that the PodMic doesn't have as much bass effect on its own, can the Rodecaster add bass? I couldn't really hear the difference in the "big bottom"--does this lift the bass?
Hi Devin, you can run the audio out straight into a camera's mic input, it isn't ideal as you can't edit as accurately in post, but you wouldn't have to sync. Hope this helps! AM
haha at first I thought, 'oh no another hater', but then I was pleasantly surprised! I ONLY READ INSTRUCTIONS IN THE SHOWER..... Cheers for watching! KH
This is actually the best review video for this product. I wish that I'd seen this one first.
Great video guys! Thanks for checking out the RØDECaster Pro!
Hey guys, great video! Glad you're enjoying the RØDECaster Pro! 😁
I just bought mine and I'm having a few issues 😩
Quick question - what's the best way to connect an SVMX to this? Does it require two separate mini-xlr cables?

loved it! Have watched 20 or so videos on the Rodecaster and yours was among the very best!
This is in Angry Joe's "AJ News" playlist for some reason, lol
You were trying to cross the border right? Same as us and that thief over there.
Excellent Video ! NB The Sliders are in fact FADERS ! In Scotland and Ireland "sliders" are an ice cream wafer,
That was an eminently watchable review! I thought "i'll just have a quick listen and see how it sounds" - 16 mins later i am still there :-)
That's great to hear! Happy that you enjoyed it so much.
No problems with mic bleeding / echo during recordings as in this video?
Hey Kriss and Amy - excellent video explanation. Thank you so much!
Great connection! Excellent review! I'm sold!!
Should actually consider doing a podcast! That was very informative and fun, well done.
Nice job guys. Could the audio out be used for broadcasting live on Facebook or RUclips?
Just received mine a minute ago! So excited to set it up and this video came at the right time 🙌🏾☺️
We're sure you'll have a great time Upendo! Thanks for watching - Amy
Noise gate, and me, do not get along. Been recording so many videos with it problematic.

Great review, just wanted to know if there is a audio output that can feed directly into a video camera?
Yep there is, that's actually what we did for this video. Cheers for watching! KH

haha they are rather large aren't they!? KH
That phone conversation was soo british! Hahah, great video guys!
haha glad you enjoyed it Adam. Cheers for watching! KH

Raul Caro thanks!
You guys are funny! I just got my machine in today. Here we go!
Why thank you very much. Hope you're enjoying it! KH
@@WexPhotoVideo hey guys, what are those mics your using
Hi, could this be used for recording a comedy radio show with the odd tune??
I love how brits or Aussies say “hey guys!” When they do an American accent!
It would be great if you demoed a VOIP and the mini jack input, apparently it's much higher quality than the Bluetooth and not one reviewer has done this yet. Great video by the way guys.
Ah man, we totally should of! Sorry Trevor, we missed the boat on that one. Cheers for watching anyway! KH

Why would you need this versus just having a laptop (I have MBP 16) with usb mics?
Use what works I personally picked this up and I have an zoom h6 and this by far has simplified everything. I love it
Question: Is there a way to use the Rodecaster Pro with a Rode HS2 headset with built-in mic? I already have the hs2, is why I'm asking.
The audio sounds great - impressive.

Please what boom arm was used in this video?
Super nice works great
This doesn't look like the AJS.
I am 62 I am glad they put big cue cards
Excellent podcast :)
Thanks Robert! KH
Huh, wonder what this was doing in the AngryJoeShow gaming news playlist. Maybe he used this video to help setup his podcast stuff
