More companies need to follow suit a router table makes it the best one out there
I have three of these and love them, they are the most stable and solid feeling portable work table out there... in fact i just bought another one a few day ago to expand my work space. 👍👍👍
Excellent review!
He said the legs don’t adjust. Do the feet screw in and out to level it though?
I love these tables. Bought one, after one year of heavy abuse as an industrial service tech, I bought 3 more.
I too am an industrial service tech. It stands up to rough use except I keep breaking the red clips under the table. Now I am unable to stow away the legs.
art those clips need to be gently pressed in to put the legs in. I learned my lesson once and had to dismantle it and rob one from the router accessory box. Overall balance of light weight durability and ease of setup/tear down made it a winner for me. At some point, I'll replace those weak router plates in the centers.
For the router fence, the holes you drill for the clamping screws MUST be perfectly vertical. If one tilts slightly, it will cause it to not slide easily.
Pro tip take a 3/8 drill bit on a impact and run it up and down the channels . Then take a flap disc wheel and lightly debur the channel works great and as long as you have the clamps tightened down does not affect it in any way
I had the same issue with the tracks just being a little too snug, on both sides. I took the bolts to Ace Hardware, to the counter where they make duplicate keys, and they used their little grinding machine to grind down a few of the problematic threads. You really only need the threads at the top for the knobs, so why not? Now they slide easily along the track, and it was a quick, free fix. I'm sure you could do something similar at home if you have a Dremel.
Yes, that was the problem, I am able to file the threads.
Thanks for the video. I just bought this today. Planning to put it to work tomorrow as a router table. I have a suggestion. If you widen those holes in the 2x4 to make them into like 3" long slots it may help it to slide freely without needing to take it off and adjust each clamp bolt individually.
Can you recommend a fence that would work with this table? Wood is great but I'm a little particular and want an actual fence instead of a piece of 2x4. Thanks!
you also almost take an inch off your thumb making the router fence lol. Good video, nice table!
Haha, all for the subscribers Frank. Thanks for the comment buddy
I was waiting for that to happen too
hello where do you get the clamps? can you send a link , love the video that made me buy it, and just ordered it online
That is a great versatile table. What a honest review TRZ.
Yeah its pretty cool bro. Thanks!
Thank you for the review!
Trz I am glad you did a video of the husky work table because I have been wanting to buy one for some time to us as a router table
You're welcome buddy. Good price for all you get
It's binding in the tracks because when you drilled the holes at 3:50, you are clearly drilling at an angle, so the bolts and crooked and binding.
Where can you get the clamps since it’s not sold with the unit
If the clamps came with the table.. i would order one right now
Great review. Thank you for sharing.
Where did you get the bar claps at besse 2 1/2 x 6 bar clams don’t fit. What size bar clam fits the table
Can you show how you would actually use the router on it ? Sorry I’m a newbie.
Hi TRZ,
Was looking at this table on HD website and it led me to your review video. I like this table ($80) but I also like the Keter Folding Work Table ($69) for its quick opening and closing features and it it about the same size, I am in between the two. I was leaning more towards this one because of the router table function but after reading the comments on your video it seems like the router function is not the great? How is yours holding up and can you offer an opinion on which to get?
Glad to see your comment copy pasted on other channel reviews. Not suspicious at all.
Do you think a heat press would work on this table?
Where can one get the bar clamps?
ive looked at these every time i go to the deeps but never pulled the trigger may have to pick one up thanks for the review
Hold off a bit Mike. I think I'm going to do a giveaway on one. Maybe you will win
i have one and i like it but its heavy and a little awkward for work like we do in a shop it would be great
I have the table and abuse it! for a table it works great. For a router table its a bit worthless. over time and use mine does not sit flat as it should to get quality Router cuts out of it. not my purpose for the table so not upset just passing it along!
Yeah I agree Trey. If I was looking for a dedicated router table, this would not be it, but love the other functions this has
Thanks for the heads-up! That's exactly what I wanted to know. I just ran across one of these on Facebook Marketplace. I already have a Ryobi that has warped plastic parts that hang up when I'm doing a cut. Super annoying, not to mention dangerous.
You right one track is too tight. I hanging a bosch router 1617 and is working good.
Jose, did you have to drill any custom holes to get your bosch1617 router to fit under table?
@@scott8940 Hi Scott. Yes I did. I just remove the base plate from the router to center the big hole on the table. I don't have the router and the table anymore. So I don't remember how many new holes I did. Probably 2 holes. But once it's hanging the router is working very good.
Very imformative! Where can I get those bar clamps? Will other or husky bar clamps work with this bench?
I think I have a link in the description, but if not, you can grab them at home depot in the clam aisle
How much are the extra clamps for it are they generic well thank you for Wonder review you take care of your family look at you when we schedule
Hey buddy. They are only $4 a piece. They are name brand too!
Tool Review Zone thank you for the information and good night and take care
You too buddy!
@@ToolReviewZone any link to buy those clamps for $4 bcks thanks 🤙
Doesn't seem like the router plate works with may routers. I have a new PorterCable. It doesn't fit, not even close. I may have to make my own plate insert.
Yeah you are correct. I am going to get a new dedicated router table. This is great for everything else, but you make a great point
Where can I get the clamps that you have for the table
Home depot
Husky needs to make a 4’ level that you can use instead of a widdled 2x4’ ya dig!?
I know this is a long shot, but does anyone know where i might get replacement router plates for this table? I bought it second hand and except for one they were missing.
Steeltoe sandals!!!
I am having trouble finding clamps for this table. I have tried Irwin 6" (Lowe's) and Bessy 6" (Home Deport) bar clamps. Both are too big.
use the 4" bessy. They work great
i bought mine 7 or 8 yrs ago, wish i bought more cuz now they are $100...vs $50...
Walmart sells the same table with a different table top (just a top) for $56.00.
So I notice u don't mount a router on the plate, u should've because a craftsmen, porter cable, or my grandfather's old black and decker fixed based router would not fit with any of the hole configurations
thats a pretty kool table 👍
It is kewwwllll. I maybe be giving one away bro
Tool Review Zone Wow Nice 👍, how lucky would the winner be..that's a top prize Give away right there. 👍😉
Yeah buddy, I let you all know this week on Instagram what is going down
Tool Review Zone 👍
which clamps did you use?
Bessey, thing they were 4"
What routers cab be set uyp no issue and doe sit support a Trim router like DeWalt 1.25 hs plunger set up to be specific
Hey klozher, all that Husky mentions is "common routers" but Dewalt and Bosch should be fine. Even if you do have a different pattern than the table, you can drill holes in the plastic to match. This is what I have been hearing others do. Hope this helps
What are the red clamps that fit the table? Bessie what model
They are bessey bar clamp www.homedepot.com/p/BESSEY-4-in-x-2-in-Bar-Clamp-LM2-004/204957893
Yes please.
can you possibly connect two tables together
No
i have the same issue with the left track
Yeah, it drives me nuts
Where can I get the bar clamps please?
Home depot has them in the clamp aisle
Tool Review Zone thanks a bunch.
Can't find the bar clamps anywhere.
Home Depot $5.97 each
BESSEY LM 4 in. Capacity Light Weight Clamp with Die Cast Zinc Jaws and 2 in. Throat Depth
Hey brother I what one Lol, It's awesome I like it wow cool bro later :)
Thanks TJ! We may do a giveaway on one of these!
Trz what's the retail price on that table? Peace brother
I have the link below Makita. I think it's around $79
who died there under the table?
I couldn't attach a ridgid router to it and he didn't attempt to attach one to it either
The biggest downside to this video Where do you buy the bar clamps and didn't get see the router portion work.
Home depot sells them. I believe I put a link in the description
Great, honest review.....thanks TRZ!!
Thanks brother, if you think this is honest, wait until you see the one I am posing in about an hour
Haha, okay bro....I'm lock and loaded.
Where do I find these clamps I need to know
Home depot carries them
