    Maguindanao (Basa Magindanaw, Jawi: بس ماگینداناو), Maguindanaon or Magindanao is an Austronesian language spoken by a majority of the population of Maguindanao del Norte and Maguindanao del Sur in the Philippines. It is also spoken by sizable minorities in different parts of Mindanao such as the cities of Zamboanga, Davao, and General Santos, and the provinces of North Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat, South Cotabato, Sarangani, Zamboanga del Sur, Zamboanga Sibugay, as well as Metro Manila. This was the language of the historic Sultanate of Maguindanao (1520-1905), which existed before and during the Spanish colonial period from 1521 to 1898.

    why does the first sentence of the Lord's Prayer in Bataknese and Maguindanao are almost identical
    when you pray, Ama nami a lu sa surga...
    we Bataknese pray,
    Ama nami na di Banua Ginjang
    the word city too, in Maguindanao it is kuta and in Bataknese is huta. another word is brain. In Bataknese, brain is utok and in your Maguindanao is utek, hair is buk in Maguindanao isn't it? In Bataknese it is obuk
    the way Maguindanao pronounce number is almost identical as the Bataknese too
    for Bataknese,
    1 = sada
    2 = dua
    3 = tolu
    4 = opat
    5 = lima
    6 = onom
    7 = pitu
    8 = walu yes the same walu as the Maguindanao
    pronunciation
    10 = Sappulu
    surprisingly the word head in Bataknese is ulu, which is the same in Maguindanao the same apply to the word father and mother which is Ama and Ina

    Old can also be translated to "Labing". What I find fascinating is translation differ depending on the region. Like cat is translated to "Bedung" "Puting" or "Sika". Or broom which is translated to "Panapu" in some region and "Payupas" in some. Even phrases like come here is usually translated to "sya ka den", but I've heard my mother side of the family which is from dulawan, maganoy, and sapakan say "singkan" or "singkaren" instead.
