The Austronesian languages form one of the world’s largest language families, considering the number of languages included and the number of geographic locations in which they are spoken. The Austronesian languages are spoken in most of the Indonesian archipelago: the Philippines, Madagascar, the island groups of the Central and South Pacific, Malaysia and in many parts of Vietnam, Cambodia, and Taiwan.
The Austronesian family comprises some 1,200 languages which cover half of the globe. Similarities in their vocabularies suggest that they descended from one common ancestor language proto-Austronesian (proto-AN).
If you are interested to see your native language/dialect be featured here.
    Submit your recordings to otipeps24@gmail.com.
Looking forward to hearing from you!

@anonymousanonymous4465 Linguistics have nothing to do with culture. Indeed, Palau shares more in common with Micronesia in terms of culture; but Palauan language, along with Chamorro, directly came from the Philippines, instead of passing by Sulawesi.
It also forms its own branch because it has a very different morphology from Micronesian.
